Heated Private Pool - Bring your Kayak

Private swimming pool (heated to 88 degrees at the guests request for $50 per day*), kitchen and shower. Central location, just 18 minutes from downtown and 30 minutes from the beach, the home is in a quiet residential mid century modern neighborhood and part of a bird sanctuary and waterfront community. The private community boat ramp is across the street and at the end of the block giving you easy access to the Vernon River. Bring your kayaks, canoes or motorboats and explore the salt marsh and barrier islands of Coastal Georgia after sightseeing in beautiful Historic Downtown Savannah. Don’t have a Kayak, we have two here available for your use.

This home is ideal for those looking to truly relax and enjoy peace and quiet. There is a fully equipped kitchen, including a large side by side refrigerator, ice & water on the door and a dishwasher. The dining room is set for 6 but with an added leaf option and extra chairs, seat 8. The living room boasts a 50" flat screen TV with cable and Netflix. Bring your kayaks and go out on a nature adventure or arrange a tour with Moon River Kayaks, just 3 miles down the road. There are Queen beds in each bedroom to comfortably sleep 6, but there is also a queen murphy bed that can be setup in the office if needed. The murphy bed is locked for safety, but available to you on request.
There is a fenced courtyard with a pergola, table, chairs, umbrella and gas grill,/outdoor kitchen ready for a cookout.
*pool may not heat to temperature if there is a cold snap.
There is a Ring doorbell on the front door.

Great getaway. Felt like home environment. Nice set up. Easy access to Savannahs historical area. Tybee Island 35 minutes. Really enjoyed pool, cooking out and visiting.

Amazing Experience!

This property was lovely! We really enjoyed the mid century modern vibe. The backyard was amazing. The pool was perfect and very warm on the cold nights that we would come back to the property. Everything was exceptionally clean. The amenities were fabulous. We felt that we were at a home away from home. The host were incredibly helpful and accessible. If we are ever back in the Savannah area, we would definitely stay here again. We had six adults in our family that stayed here. We had plenty of room. I would highly recommend this property!

Comfortable home!

We, along with our family, recently spent a fabulous weekend in Savannah. Wendy and Mike, the owners of VRBO, were so wonderful in responding to our questions and needs in a timely manner. The lovely house had everything you could think of, and all the beds were very comfortable. The heated pool was definitely a big plus along with plenty of towels for us to use. Would highly recommend this VRBO house to any future guests to stay (including us hopefully). And it was so convenient to be near historic Savannah and restaurants.

Great home with all the necessities close to downtown, but with a bonus—a lovely pool! Spacious with cute extras like an indoor serenity garden. Tastefully decorated and warm/inviting. A little gem outside Savannah.

Clean and cozy house

We had a short stay and were not at the property during the day...but we did cook in on Saturday morning and evening and found the kitchen easy to use and well equipped. One of the kids did use the pool Saturday and enjoyed it. Wendy was very good at communicating.

Perfect Blue House for our Family of 7

First time visiting Georgia this home was just the right size for our family of 7. The pool was a perfect escape from the heat and my kids loved it. The distance to the city and river district was so convenient. We really enjoyed our stay there, it was clean, provided all necessary linens/towels. Wendy was so easy to get in contact with, always answered all my questions.

Great Getaway!

My family had a wonderful time staying at the Kayak house(s). Due to a plumbing issue with the Blue Kayak House, Wendy immediately offered us two options, making it very easy to work with them in light of the issue. We were able to split our stay between the Orange and Blue Kayak houses, which I can say are very comparable. Nevertheless, Wendy and Mike took wonderful care of us, and had wonderful properties. If we end up going back to Savanna, we're booking one of Wendy's properties. P.S. The small things were greatly appreciated, too, such as stocked laundry soap, dishwasher tabs, plentiful towels, etc. These amenities exceeded all our other Vrbo stays by a lot. Kudos to them!

Nice place.

Nice. All the basics there. The couch was way too low for comfort. The pool is fabulous. We longed for a keurig every morning. It would be perfect for a pet friendly place as there is no carpet. Nice neighborhood. Good location.

Perfect Getaway

I enjoyed the nice, quiet neighborhood and how convenient it was to get to things. We loved all the nearby restaurants we tried. Having 6 people in our party we were able to mange with one shower mostly because that it had instant hot water & no worries of it running out, that helped tremendously. I know most places dont have that. I personally enjoyed staying in an older home reminded me of my younger days. Also loved the furniture & layout.

Owners make this place special!

Great location, awesome clean house in a nice quiet neighborhood! It was evident how much the owners take pride in taking care of the property. Wendy went to extra mile in staying in touch, was always quick to respond to my questions, and was very accommodating in making sure we were set for our visit to Savannah. We've already booked our next visit to the Blue Kayak house!
