Almost Heaven - located on Mt Yonah, and featuring an incredible "bird's eye view" of deeply layered mountains. The deck lined with Adirondacks on this upscale rustic cabin is The Spot to relax, cook out on the grill, or enjoy a frosty beverage while taking in those amazing panoramic vistas. It's an experience you don't want to miss, rain or shine! The open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows is a great choice for a family up to 6, but Almost Heaven is also a wonderful choice for a couple. The location is ideal for those wanting a little bit of everything - you'll feel far away from it all at this quiet and peaceful mountaintop setting, yet the village of Helen is just 5 miles away.  Almost Heaven is also close to several of our wonderful local wineries; Serenity Cellars, Yonah Mountain Vineyards, and CeNita Vineyards are just minutes away!

The view was amazing! Communication was outstanding. The furniture was comfortable. The house was well stocked with kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc. The deck is amazing but Adirondack chairs were personally uncomfortable due to lower back issues. I would suggest bringing cushions for them if that is you as well. Property is as advertised and very comfortable and lovely. I would also suggest replacing the hot tub with a table for people who wish to eat outdoors and cook out. We will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay!!

The place has an absolutely gorgeous view and was comfortable for our stay. Overall, a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Would recommend!To reach 5 stars, it needs a tad more maintenance. There was a bedside lamp with no lightbulbs, the hot tub was (as advertised in advance) not operating, and small but helpful amenities were not available (also as advertised in advance), such as shampoo/conditioner and laundry detergent. The wifi was not working when we arrived but was fixed a few hours after we reported it.

Beautiful views!

The cabin has very nice furnishings, everything thought out as to the needs of guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would most definitely recommend a almost Heaven to anyone,

Great location and view

We had six adults stay for the weekend and it was a very comfortable home. The view is gorgeous and the living space is a nice size. The kitchen was well stocked for us to prepare dinners each night. It's also close to everything we wanted to see and do (wineries, hiking, Helen). One thing I would note is that the beds are VERY loud. We were in the master and we could hear every time someone turned over or got out of bed. We would definitely stay again for our yearly retreat if the beds were replaced because everything else was exactly what we look for in a cabin!

Check is as expected, but within g minutes my spouse was has an asthma attack from the dust. Fortunately she had her inhaler. The management co. Sent the cleaning folks back but they didn’t do much. The filth under the Urnitref

Beautiful Views!!!

Overall the stay was great! The view is what makes this cabin so special. The cabin was clean, the property management company was responsive with any questions I had and the checkin was simple. The hot tub was not able to be used and there weren’t any extras such as a fire pit or even games in the cabin. The description wasn’t misleading, but for other families that may stay - bring games! The beds were not the most comfortable and were very squeaky, but this didn’t keep us from enjoying the trip. The cabin is in the perfect location - easy to get to Helen, Cleveland, Dahlonega! We would definitely return!

Steep Driveway

The parking area is not manual transmission friendly! The description does not indicate just how sloped the driveway is, or that part of the parking area is covered with rock. If you have more than two vehicles, turning around is not an option. Even in our small vehicles, it was way more challenging than I care for. The lockbox lid comes completely off, so upon opening, the key fell straight down through an inch-wide gap in the porch. Luckily my son was able to reach under and retrieve it with a stick! Once inside you will see what makes this listing so special. The view is beautiful! The back porch has six adirondack chairs and small side tables just perfect for enjoying coffee while planning our day. The only thing taking away from the back is the unusable hot tub. If gone, it would free up more space for a small table to place trays and utensils when grilling. The highs were still in the nineties when we visited the weekend of 9/21, yet a sign states do not set thermostat lower than 72°. Also, there is no way to adjust the speed of the ceiling fan in the living room. Thankfully we brought fans from home! There is a basic auto drip coffee maker, so go ahead and bring your own ground coffee, sweeteners, and creamers! There were filters in the cabinet that seemed to have probably been left by previous guests. Overall, the cabin itself was nice. If taking one compact vehicle, I would consider booking again. This was definitely a learning experience!

Almost Heaven is almost heaven!

The cabin is absolutely perfect. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. The bedrooms were great and the kitchen was perfect for cooking. Laundry room was another added bonus! The view is unbelievable! However, be prepared to use the broom to get rid of spiders and ants on the balcony. We have 7 year old twins and the spiders really freaked them out just because there were so many. I do highly recommend this cabin and we will be back. The location is perfect to get to Helen or Anna Ruby Falls.

My family and I stayed at Almost Heaven while I was in town for a conference. The house was perfect although parking was difficult at best. It is obvious a lot of thought was given to the planning of the house, but the little was given to the bedding. The beds were extremely hard and uncomfortable, so much so that we cut our trip short by an entire day! :-(

Amazing Views

This house has absolutely amazing views. Plenty of room for everyone and only a few miles from downtown Helen. The beds were comfortable. The property manager was very responsive and helpful when needed.

Fabulous views and comfort

Beautiful home! Cozy and welcoming. Great views from sunrise to sunset. Decorated for Christmas which was just so special! Location perfect to Helen and hiking!! Would come again most definitely.

Management company gave wrong instructions.

Instructions for getting in the door were partially incomplete and partially wrong. We stood in the cold wind, after dark, trying to get in for about 10 min. Finally reached Pinnacle and got the correct instructions. Water wasn’t very hot for showers. No WiFi for the first 24 hours. They finally brought us an exterior hotspot device. After many attempts we were finally connected. Otherwise the view was spectacular and the Christmas festivals in Helen and Dahlonega were very nice. It was all great except for the frustration of the first 24 hours.

Absolutely Gorgeous

The cabin was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our visit & it was a short commute to town! The views are Almost Heaven just like the name describes.We will definitely stay there again.

Stunning

This cabin “Almost Heaven” fits it name perfectly. The view from the large windows overlooking the Valley’s and mountains is priceless. The ambiance of the warm decor and welcoming set up is both relaxing and rejuvenating. We did venture out to outlying towns and of course the wonderful German Food in Helen but were so content relaxing in the cabin with a mulled wine and cheeses. This is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy good friends. We look forward to our next trip and hope this cabin is available. You will not be diss appointed.
