This secluded home is perfect for anyone wanting to get away. The living room is a picture of comfort. Enjoy stretching out on the sofa or curling up on one of the armchairs while being warmed by the fireplace. The spacious kitchen is truly a sight to behold. Complete with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a large prep island, and fun gadgets like an ice cream maker, this kitchen is the perfect destination for the chef of the group. The home has a formal dining area, as well as a breakfast nook in the kitchen, so there’s no shortage of space for dining as a group. The outdoor space is a haven all its own. To start with, the furnished screened porch is perfect for lounging out in the cool of the evening. The back deck is spacious and has a grill. Out front is a lovely nature trail and rope swing. Also outdoors is a firepit for guest use. The property provides one bundle of firewood, so be sure to stock up if you’ll be wanting more. This home is pet friendly and allows 1 dog up to 70 lbs.

The pictures are nicer than reality. The dank smell was overpowering. The 2 “lower bunk beds” are trundles that are not acceptable for anyone over 5. The house was clean except for the spider webs that we had to go through to access the house through the garage. The beds were clean and comfortable.

Average house with great location

Upon arrival the house felt clean, however throughout our stay there were a lot of little and large spiders and bugs throughout the home. The online photos do not match the home itself. The photos make the house look very bright when it’s actually quite dark with no overhead lightening except for in the kitchen. We also didn’t like that one of our kids rooms was connected to the main bedroom as we went to bed later than our son and would accidentally wake him when we have to walk through the room to go to bed. Keep this in mind when renting the space. On a positive note, the house was perfectly located to downtown Saugatuck and we could easily drive to surrounding towns like St. Joseph’s and Holland. We loved that we could walk into downtown and take walks and runs throughout our stay.

The house was very comfortable but the smoke smell from the fireplace was overpowering in the living room. We did not use the fireplace.

Short family stay

The pictures are very accurate. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. Plenty of room and sleeping/sitting areas for all of us. If you have a couple more people and you pull out the trundle beds under the twin, would’ve enough sleeping room but would need to be able to slide them in to be able to freely walk in/out of the room. No complaints here - sharing if you have more guests. 2 full bathrooms very nice to have.
