RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Super beautiful beach and heated pool. So nice. My room had zero view but it was fine. You are there for beach. Not the room. It was clean. Pool was so clear and warm! Coffee pot, refrig and micro all good. Bed was comfy. No sink in apt except bathroom sink. Awkward. But fine. Sunrise to sunset .

We love the location and the units. It’s not a high rise so you don’t park in a huge parking lot far away from where you are staying. It’s a few steps from the beach. The rooms are updated with new appliances and furnishings. I use to stay here in the 70’s. We love having a kitchen and also a short drive to grocery stores and other places to shop and explore. Beach chairs and beach pull carts are available. All units have screen porches.

The stay was great but I do have a few suggestions. Being that it’s a really small studio you could open up more space by removing those large lamps and adding lights on the walls. It’s super dark in there. I’d remove this stools as they really just take up space. I’d also remove the table and chairs and add a small pub type table w small stools. If a small sink could be added in that empty space on the wall by the counter that would be a huge bonus. I didn’t notice when I booked the place there wasn’t a sink. Also the exhaust vent in the bathroom is really dirty. All and all it went well but I’d probably go with something a little bigger next time with some natural light.

Very basic room

The rental was very basic and on the inside of the complex so there was no view. Being on the first floor, there was a window awning so people couldn't look right in your room but that also meant that you couldn't really see out as well. The complex has a lovely pool and some of the rentals have oceanview. I just wouldn't go back to this one in particular. It was okay for a very short stay.

Quiet little get-a-way

Room was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed for a quick little stay. Location was perfect and we had our own private beach with never more than 6 people on it at one time! The heated pool was spot on for the chilly nights. This place was quiet and very relaxing. We would definitely book here again!

Wonderful stay

Room was clean, organized, and stocked with the essentials. Pool was extremely clean and well taken care of. Beach was beautiful and had plenty of complimentary chairs. Overall wonderful trip, will be booking again!
