We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Banyan Retreat home and can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless—the home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials (and then some). It struck the perfect balance between comfort and style, making it easy to settle in and truly relax.The location was ideal—1 minute walk to Sarasota’s stunning Lido beach. 3 minute walk to St. Armand’s Circle, great restaurants, and local shops, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and private. Mornings with coffee on the patio and evenings unwinding after a day in the sun quickly became our favorite routine.What really stood out was the attention to detail. Every space felt intentional and welcoming, from the cozy living areas to the comfortable bedrooms. Communication with the host was seamless, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a smooth, enjoyable stay.If you’re looking for a place that feels like a true getaway while still having all the comforts of home, this is it. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Kitchen was fully stocked, great outdoor space in backyard including a great grill. The dock was great for kid fishing. Very spacious common areas. The property manager was great with communication ahead of time and answered questions quickly during our stay. A great location close if both beach and the circle!

Thanks so much for being such fabulous hosts! The house is a dream - perfect, serene location on the canal within walking distance to the beach and St Armand's. The private dock was perfect for yoga. We were pleasantly surprised with how well equipped the property is - plenty of dishes and utensils for cooking and everything else we needed. Comfortable beds great views with the huge wall of windows plenty of seating for our party CLEAN private pool great experience with property managers that were accommodating in every way . Couldn't ask for a better experience. Thanks so much for having us!

Host communicated with me regularly. Was very engaging and made sure he answered all of our questions. He even had a bday cake waiting for us for my father’s birthday. Was very sweet. As for the house, it was gorgeous and it had everything we needed and more. And the location was supreme. Beach was around the corner and St. Armand’s Circle around the other corner. Couldn’t have asked for better.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Banyan Retreat! The home has a great layout with an abundance of space and is incredibly clean. There is everything you could possibly need for your stay and there are Publix grocery stores / Walmart under ten minutes away if you forget anything. The pool is a nice reprieve and the dock is fun for hanging out with the manatees that would visit every afternoon.Lido Key has been our favorite destination for years - hands down the best sunsets take place on Lido beach which is literally two minutes from the front door. A very short walk in the other direction gets you to St. Armands Circle where there are many restaurants and stores. For dinner, we tend to like Venezia and Speaks Clam Bar due to them having enough variety to cover everyone's cravings, but we have dined at most of the restaurants and have always had great food. If you want to travel a little, there are several restaurants in Sarasota as well as eating at the Chart House around sunset-trust me, it's beautiful!Matt and Susan are wonderful, attentive hosts that go above and beyond to make sure that your stay is everything you hoped it would be & more!There is nothing on the Gulf Coast quite like Lido Key and there is definitely no other rental with a better location, layout and hosts as the Banyan Retreat!
