    Originally operated as a fly-fishing lodge, Sweetwater offers something that very few mountain rentals can: the adventure begins the moment you step outside.

    Walk directly from the cabin to White Owl Falls, explore Tumblin’ Fun Falls by following Gum Bottom Creek upstream, hike to Tall Falls, fish the Thompson River, relax beside the river pavilion, or simply enjoy the sounds of rushing water from the screened porch.

This property is absolutely unique and amazing. We have not found anything even close. Would highly recommend this to anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to feel like they are away from it all. The property is clean, well maintained, and a joy to be at. We have enjoyed staying here on five separate occasions. Looking forward to next year as we make new memories every time. Owners have done an excellent job keeping up on maintaining and upgrading the property every year.

Beautiful property! We were able to spend a lot of time outdoors even though it was cold. Fire pit by the creek was amazing. A lot of space and privacy.

Once you get there you will not want to leave.

Perfect for our family, a beautiful and very private setting for hanging out on the deck, hiking, fishing and looking for salamanders.

Stunning Location

My husband and I had the most relaxing time at the cabin. The location is just amazing, peaceful, the river on your doorstep, where my husband enjoyed many hours of fly fishing, walks to waterfalls and surrounded by wildlife. The cabin is so comfortable, and has everything you need for a great stay. We will be returning.

Always Amazing

Another amazing visit , our family absolutely loves this place we spend days just exploring and hiking the property. It is so peaceful and relaxing.We have made so many memories here and can’t wait to make more. The owners are very nice and accommodating. We love the new fireplace, it is very cozy. Can’t wait to plan our next visit!

Mountain living at its best!

If you are looking for a place to unwind, relax and leave your life behind this is it! Listening to the water flow over the rocks and along the river is as peaceful as it gets. We had fun swimming in the water and hiking to White Owl Falls. Everything we needed was available in the home and the beds were very comfortable! Love this place.

Third Visit - Still Going Strong!

My family and I have stayed at Sweetwater 3 times now. Each year, Drew has made great improvements to the property/home. It is obvious that this is a beloved family retreat, and we will continue visiting as long as we can! Thanks for another wonderful visit!

We had a blast. The cabin is big, but feels cozy. We loved the fireplace off the back deck w the river below. Tons of hiking trails and waterfalls right out the back door. Can’t ask for much more. Thanks for sharing you cabin with us it truly was fantastic.

When its 5 stars take any criticism with that in mind. Glad it wasnt hot because couldnt get the air to work. And the lighting could be better. But who wants to stay inside the very comfortable nice house when you have the beautiful grounds. Was a great stay

Stunning property with SO much to do!!

We had such an amazing visit! The property is absolutely breathtaking, the house is immaculate and there is something for everyone here: hiking, fishing, wading, games (indoor and outdoor), fire pit, front porch sitting, screened porch sitting, gazebo sitting...the list is endless. Pretty sure even our dog enjoyed his stay! The house is stocked, clean, quiet and so comfortable - we all slept great and were well rested for the next day's adventures. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
