My wife and our 3 children first arrived on Sanibel island in July 1985. With the exception of 5 years, 3because of hurricanes Ian and Milton, 2 because of other family commitments, we have vacationed the same week every year since! After Milton, Select Vacations had newly remodeled openings at Compass point where we stayed in 2024 and 2025. But our “home” that week has always been Sanddollar and with Kelly’s help, our family returned “home” this July, staying at C104 and C302. The units were well furnished allowing us to celebrate 2 birthdays and our anniversary. Naturally we did eat out, but we did dine in, fixing shrimp boil, burgers and brats, and fresh seafood purchased fresh locally, enjoying mahi mahi, grouper, red snapper and ahi tuna. Those last 2 meals were perfect using the fantastically clean grills at the pool.Also, both units were abundantly furnished with whatever beach furniture and accessories anyone might need.I highly recommend Kelly and her co workers at Select Vacations. They know the business and they actually do try to make whatever accommodation they can to make the experience better!Sanibel has been a family tradition for 40 years. Our children were raised there, albeit on short visits, and the tradition continues with our children and grandchildren. Give Sanibel a try, but be careful, you just may get hooked!
