Enjoy the views from this Gulf Front three bedroom two bathroom tropical condo with large screened in Lanai. Directly on the white sandy beaches of West Gulf, sit back and relax while you watch the dolphins and pelicans play in the surf. This large, open condo has a fully equipped eat in kitchen, a large dining area and a beautiful living area that looks out onto the Gulf of Mexico. The master suite has a comfortable king sized bed, its own private lanai and a large master bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The first large guest room has twin beds and plenty of space for family or friends. The second guest bedroom has a comfortable queen sized bed with an elegant tropical theme. The large guest bath features dual sinks and a spacious tub/shower. TV's in every room and Wi-Fi throughout keep you connected.

The tropical grounds of Janthina feature a lagoon like pool, tennis courts, an elevator and its own charming private boardwalk to the stunning beaches of West Gulf. To top off your day of shelling, tennis and swimming, watch the sunset from your very own private lanai. This small 7 unit complex offers privacy, peace and tranquility unfound anywhere on the island.

The positives: The condo is large and spacious and in a great location. Management was very responsive. The negatives: it is old and ratty, in need of a total renovation. The curtains in the master bedroom are permanently closed, so forget the beach view lying in bed, or anywhere from the master suite. The en-suite bathroom was just old and dirty w fluorescent lighting that flickered. Beware of the throw rugs in the bathrooms. They are not cleaned after each stay. The rug in front of the shower reeked of cat urine. I picked it up and the rubber backing had yellow stains all over it. Needless to say, all of the throw rugs were moved outside during our stay. I informed the management and they promptly delivered fresh bath mats. They were responsive and helpful with other requests as well. We didn’t let the problems ruin our vacation. If you need three bedrooms, this is a very large property. I’m sure that the issues will be dealt with, but just be aware that it is a bit run down.

Beautiful property

This was an amazing property with tons of kitchen supplies. The beds were comfy. The decor was very nice. I loved that it was such a quick walk down the boardwalk to the beach. It was so nice that they provided beach towels and all the chairs, umbrella, floats etc. that you need for your stay especially if your flying in.

Island Time

Relaxing vacation! Easy beach access. Enjoyed beach time during the day and great dining in the evening. Condo size was great but would have liked more beach chairs. Overall, great vacation from our busy city lives!

Christmas at Sanibel

Perfect location. Spacious, clean and well equipped. Two balconies with beach view. Open the balcony doors and the condo fills with ocean sound. Will definitely come back!

Excellent location, plenty of room

This is truly just steps from the beach, couldn’t have asked for a better location! Small building so it wasn’t crowded or loud and had plenty of parking, though the garage was obviously not built for todays SUVs. The unit was clean, though the kitchen could use a few more utensils (like a measuring cup and another cutting board). It had plenty of space, the family/dining room area was huge! We loved the screened in porch and overlooking the pool and beach. The only thing I wish the unit had was beach towels (we needed to buy some while there to use) and a few chairs to take to the beach. There are tons of closets so I wish they’d been put to better use to hold more towels! Checkin was super easy and the management company was easy to work with. I’d also recommend they send some info about noseeums with the check in info, they were awful so bring bug spray! Sanibel is a great place to visit, we will be back! The shelling right outside was great, the water wasn’t deep in that part of the beach so our kids could play easily. You do need to drive or ride a bike to get to restaurants or stores, but the island isn’t that big so not a big deal. Definitely recommend!

Enjoyable time in Sanibel!

We stayed in Janthina 1A and it worked great for our first stay in Sanibel. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The views and location were great – overlooks the Gulf, steps from the beach, (which felt quiet and private) and had a small, but clean pool we could take a dip in after retreating from the beach. It's also an easy drive to Bailey's Grocery and Hardware – which we frequented daily for our morning coffee, beach toys and blow ups, groceries (you name it, they have it); Joey's Custard and Doc Fords. We went for this unit because of it's value and felt like we got what we paid for. Yes, the bathrooms and kitchen need to be updated and there's a few little details that could be fine-tuned – like replacing broken screens in the bedrooms, fixing a missing tile in the hallway, replacing rusty beach equipment (which we didn't use but instead rented inexpensively from YOLO in Captiva), and getting a new mattress for one of the twin beds which was so stiff that no one could sleep on it – but overall we had a lot of room for our group of 5, it was very clean and comfortable, and the main living space and bedrooms were very nice and in good taste. Management was also very responsive to our questions and requests. My only other comment is that they could keep a few more amenities on hand and provide some more direction on where things are located. For example, after a day or two in we found a better beach chair in the closet, and the beach towels. It was stocked with a lot of wine glasses and tableware, but no salt and pepper, only one garbage bag, one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, and the bags we were supposed to put our dirty linens in at the end of the week were not found. None of these were deal breakers, but would be nice to haves. The check in and check out process was very easy. We'd definitely consider staying here again!

The unit itself was very clean and spacious. A little dated, but comfortable. Beach access was easy and the view cannot be beat. Appliances are nice. The kitchen could use an organizing and more towels, better knives, etc. There are plenty of pans, dishes and bakeware. The pool was convenient, but was not cleaned all week, including the patio around the pool. The building is quiet, and the halls and stairs are kept very nice and clean. Overall, a good bargain and nice spot.
