Beautifully located just outside downtown Sandpoint, this classic mountain chalet offers gorgeous, sweeping views of Lake Pend Orielle and Sandpoint and the surrounding treetops. You'll also be a quick and scenic drive from the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, the slopes of Schweitzer Mountain, Silverwood Theme Park, and the heart of Sandpoint itself.

Skier, hiker, or boating enthusiast, your focal point at this three-level home is the panoramic view, which you can take in from the wrap-around deck and the open great room with its two-story wall of windows. Spend your summers swimming in the lake, grilling on the deck, and basking in the comfort of central air conditioning, and your winters curled up by the crackling fire and watching movies on the flatscreen TV. There's a private laundry room to take care of your damp swimsuits or snowy ski clothes, a private hot tub to relax after a day on the slopes, a charming kitchen with every essential appliance (including a dishwasher), and a six-person dining room table with a grand view.

Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
The loft is the primary bedroom, offering a spacious en suite bathroom.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

House and deck need maintenance and updates. Dried food on a cooking pan. Keurig advertised as amenity; not true, only drip. Master BR window is cracked. Shade missing in LR. Sofa lamp not working. Several light bulbs burned out. Deck rail by hot tub not secured to upright post and could possibly fail. Downstairs toilet ran after flushing; had to jiggle handle. Bed was comfy; AC worked well. View was okay, not great but as advertised except the trees had grown since the picture was taken. No ice maker but ice trays were provided. Carpet in LR had a small stain. Property mgr. responded quickly to replace the light bulbs and had the deck railing checked but did nothing to the rail by the hot tub. All in all this property is okay and a decent rental. It just needs some TLC.

This was our second stay at this property. We love the location and the view. Nice hot tub. Kitchen with all you need. Large refrigerator and freezer. AC works well, important in summer. The deck railing will need to be replaced soon. Dinner on the deck and coffee on the deck in the morning.

Great Birthday getaway

The house was a perfect weekend getaway for the family. Close to Schweitzer and Sandpoint. The house was cozy and warm. I most enjoyed sitting by the fire watching the snow fall. Would definitely rent again!

Great deck & view!

The home is very comfortable with a nice wrap around deck & great view. Beds are comfortable. Garbage pickup is at the end of your stay…we stayed a month so had quite a bit of accumulated garbage, but they supplied heavy black garbage bags & we just left them in the garage. Nice the property is pet friendly.

Wedding weekend

Handy location, nice view. Comfortable for 4 guests but not 5 or 6. 3rd bedroom is in the basement and you have to go through the garage to get upstairs to the bathroom. Not happy with the price. We had to pay $90 for hot tub use and we never used it. Also, an incredible number of extra fees, service fees etc. so the cost was way more than it should have been.

Schweitzer spring ski trip

Great place for a ski trip! Dog friendly, very clean, nice hot tub and deck with view. We grilled even though still kinda snowy. Definitely would come back!

Views were Amazing

Beautiful property that has an amazing view of Lake Pend O'rielle and the city of Sandpoint. Central air conditioning made it comfortable in the warm August temperatures. We enjoyed the hot tub, the deck, cooking in the kitchen with views of the trees and lake. Bedroom in loft with bathroom upstairs (but note, no door, so not much privacy and if others are awake downstairs it might be disrupting). another bedroom downstairs with bathroom. The twin beds downstairs are in a small side room, not much light and no bathroom. You are car dependent. But it is a short ride down the hill to Sandpoint and the Lake; < 30" drive to mt. Schweitzer and pleasant walking on Janish Drive each morning. Be sure to check out Miller's country market down the road for bakery goods, delicious sandwiches, meat and pies! We really enjoyed this property and felt happy to come back each day after a full day of adventure in Northern Idaho,

Anniversary getaway

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. The house was peaceful, comfortable, and perfect. We weren't able to access the lock box for the garage door opener which required us to exit the garage from the house, then go back upstairs to exit the house. When we contacted the property management company (vacasa), we received a fairly snarky response telling us that the box was broken and no compensation would be given. We had not asked for compensation and didn't intend to. Other than that, the view was beautiful and our stay was very relaxing.

All was well. When reaching for aluminum foil, sadly none. No flour, no oil. Other than that had the basics of a weekend getaway. Not a huge deal. We adjusted. Just did not want to leave our cozy nook in the woods.
