  • New Horizon is a second floor, modern 3-bedroom apartment, recently built in the popular seaside town of Sandown, set back from the cliff edge.

    With communal gardens, this simple but delightful garden leads to a stunning cliff top path where you can breathe in the seaside air whilst enjoying the views over Sandown, Lake and Shanklin.



    New Horizon boasts having two balconies to make the most out the stunning view of the English Channel, they are located in the living area and master bedroom.



    With its modern interior and stunning views New Horizon is perfect all year round with underfloor heating to take away the Winter chill away or in the Summer bring the seaside in the lounge by opening the French doors onto your private balcony whilst enduring the Summer sun.



    This apartment has 2 master bedrooms, both with super king-size beds and separate en suite wet rooms and the third bedroom housing two single beds, there is also a double sofa bed in the lounge.

    LOCATION:



    There are plenty of attractions to keep all ages entertained long Sandown seafront. The Pier and glorious Sandown Bay are just a short walk down-hill from the property. Voted one of the island’s best beaches, so why not stretch your legs along the miles of golden sand or swim in the cooling water of the English Channel. The nine mile stretch between Yaverland and Shanklin, with Sandown nestled in the middle, demonstrates the wonders of geology, with red sandstone through to the white chalk of Culver Cliff. On a lucky day, the remains of fossils can also be found! If you crave an active holiday, the bay is hugely popular with water sports and you’ll be sure to see people paddle boarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing or catamaran and dingy sailing; weather dependent.

    A short walk towards Yaverland, you will also find the Wild Heart Animal Sanctuary, famous for its big cats. The sanctuary, formerly the Isle of Wight Zoo, gained further recognition due to the owner’s relationship with the naturalist and TV presenter Chris Packman. Additionally, a perfect distraction for the younger guests is Sandham Gardens, which is only minutes’ walk from the esplanade. With karting, sky nets, crazy golf and a dedicated play area on offer there should be plenty to ensure a good night’s sleep at the end of the day!

    PLEASE NOTE:



    Guests can choose to either pay a non-refundable damage waiver of £35 or provide a pre-authorised security deposit of £150 before check-in.

    If the security deposit option is selected, no money will be taken unless damage is reported at the property within 7 days after departure.





    This property offers a double sofa bed, if you would like us to supply linen for its use during your stay, this can be provided at an additional cost of £35, per stay.



    Please do make us aware at the time of booking / in advance of your stay if you require this service, so we can arrange to take payment and have the linen made available.



    There is no electric car charger on site and guests are prohibited from using the mains electric in the property to charge a car. If it becomes apparent a car is being charged then the guest may be charged an additional amount to cover the extra cost.



    IMPORTANT INFORMATION:



    The Island Holiday Company are responsible for the full management of this property and should you need to contact us during your stay we are available between 9-5 Monday to Friday, We also operate an out of hours emergency service on the weekends - please refer to your property brochure left inside the property, for further information and contact details.



    No stag or hen parties are permitted at any of our properties.



    There is a strict no smoking/vaping policy, inside all our properties.



    No Pets are allowed in the Property.



    Linens and towels are provided, but please bring your own beach towels and cot linen as necessary.



    Please be advised access to this second-floor apartment is via stairs or lift



    Please be respectful of the property and the neighbours during your stay; leaving the property as you found it on your arrival.



    A breach of the above rules and guidelines could mean forfeiture of the Security Deposit.

The flat has an amazing view over the sea and is spacious and comfortable. There is fairly easy access to the sea front (down the cliff path at the rear) and also the shops and restaurants of Sandown. We had a great family holiday.

Lovely coastal apartment

The apartment has great views from the balcony/living room. It's also very easy to get down to the beach and into the Sandown mainstream from here. There is one dedicated parking for one car and it was no problem for us to bring a second car to park in the guest parking. The quality of the apartment was high, its very nice inside, particularly the bathrooms!

beautiful apartment overlooking the sea

Lovely apartment overlooking the sea with amazing views. Very spacious and clean. Three good size bedrooms (two en-suites, one with balcony sea views and family bathroom) and a nice-sized open plan kitchen and living area with balcony. TVs in two of three bedrooms and basic "Sky TV" package in lounge/living area. Lots of visitor parking spaces at the front of building, available on first come first serve basis, never had a problem parking and we came with two cars (I understand there is also a dedicated parking space underneath apartment which we never needed to use). Property in close proximity to the cliff path, 7 or 8 mins walk to the left is the pier and sea front/Sandown centre and 30 mins walk approx to the right is the Hideaway pub, great food and views (and you even pass the Blueberry cafe on the way). Overall, had a great time and would highly recommend.

Lovely appartment

A lovely well located apartment in Sandown- a few steep hills if you have mobility issues or small kids but there are ways around it. The apartment is beautifully furnished and mostly well equipped depending on your needs . It was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in -our only criticism is the kitchen/lounge floor was dirty on arrival -cleaners mop was pretty grubby so probably not up to the job ! And the shower in the main bedroom was not draining away very well at all. Island holidays responded very quickly to a freezer breakdown and we cannot fault the service they gave us, although the above two things weren’t addressed when also reported.

Perfect location

Our recent visit to New Horizon was perfect under the circumstances of Covid. The accommodation was ideal for our group of 4 adults and 2 children. Everything was almost new and the property was clean and well presented. The highlight was the view from the main living area. Looking out from the breakfast bar or kitchen area was like a paneramic view from a cruise liner. The management team were very attentive and went the extra mile to make our visit perfect. Location to the beach and an excellent beach bar was ideal and of course access to other attractions on the Isle of Wight are all within easy reach
