"3rd time at Bennys. Such a comfortable house, extremely clean and warm. Village has one shop, a chippy and a pub. Only 10 min walk from the Wetlands, which is great for my, birdwatching hubby. Bathroom downstairs. All amenities are easy to use. Very relaxing for us in our 70s. Communication from Cottages.com is excellent.Highly recommended."

"This was our second visit to this lovely cottage. It is very quaint and cosy. The setting is very peaceful - lots of birds singing and rabbits in the field. There is a busy road next to the cottage but that didn’t detract from the feeling of tranquility. The hot tub is fabulous. It’s a great base to explore the local area. It’s so easy to get a bus into Pocklington which is a lovely market town with good shops, pubs and restaurants. We had a great holiday and will definitely come back in...

"Had such high hopes for this place, based on the images and location, but was so disappointed when we arrived. Genuinely considered leaving and paying to go elsewhere.
Host was really great with communication and checking in, but wished we knew before booking that you actually stay at the scratty end of their property, with all the chicken coops and sheep. Property was much more outdated than on the pics and cupboards were dirty. On the plus side, the beds were comfy.

"Sue was lovely. The hut was cute and cosy. Sue had left us milk tea coffee sugar wine biccys and she other essentials. It was a very sweet touch.The hot tub was amazing. The location is beautiful tranquil and definitely worth a visit. Value for money and then some. We will most definitely be back. Thank you for our fab break Sue. 😘"
