Iconic Modern Farmhouse- San Luis Obispo

🏡 The Space
Gorgeous and iconic farmhouse located in the East Railroad District of downtown San Luis Obispo. Situated in its own lovely microclimate, this historic gem offers a private, estate-like setting with a spacious backyard featuring fruit trees, grapevines, creekside foliage, and its very own windmill.

This meticulously cared-for farmhouse features an open floor plan on the main level with a living area, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, and full bathroom. Upstairs, you’ll find three bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed, along with a bathroom featuring a walk-in shower.

The home is fully stocked with all the essentials you’ll need for a comfortable stay and is located on a quiet cul-de-sac just moments from downtown.

Guests have access to the entire home and property.

📲 Communication
I manage multiple Airbnb listings in the area and do my best to be available for guests 24/7. I can be reached anytime via Airbnb message, text, or phone. I live nearby and can be at the property quickly in the event of an emergency.

📍 Location & Walkability
Just a quick 10-minute walk to downtown thanks to the pedestrian bridge at the train tracks. Approximately 1 mile to Higuera Street with multiple nearby dining options.

🚆 Things to Note
The home is located near the train station, and some train noise may be heard at times—primarily the train horn. The last train passes through no later than 9:00 pm.

This historic home is over 100 years old and comes with the charming quirks and occasional squeaks you would expect. The yard is not fully fenced, so if you are traveling with pets, please keep this in mind.

⚠️ Cancellation Policy

🗓️ Can I cancel my reservation?
It depends! Reservations must be canceled 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid a penalty of one night’s room and tax.
Reservations canceled within 24 hours of booking may be canceled with no penalty, unless within 72 hours of check-in. Any reservation with a change of dates within 72 hours of check-in will be subject to penalty.
All cancellations after 24 hours of booking are subject to a non-refundable 3% merchant service fee charged by Stripe.

Maybe! Check-in is guaranteed at 3:00 pm or later. Early check-in opportunities may be assessed on the day of arrival based on availability. Please reach out prior to your arrival to inquire.

⏰ What time is check-out? Is late check-out an option?
Check-out is by 11:00 am on your departure day.

Late check-outs are based on availability and incur a fee:
• $35 for a 12:00 pm checkout
• $45 for a 1:00 pm checkout

After 1:00 pm, the full night’s room rate plus tax will apply. On or before departure day, please contact us before 11:00 am to inquire about availability or make arrangements.

🐶 Are you dog / pet-friendly?
We sure are! A $45 per-stay fee (limit 2 pets per room) must be added to the reservation prior to check-in. Please complete payment before arrival through the “Add a Pup” upsell option.

💳 What are the direct booking payment options?
For all direct bookings, full payment is due at the time of booking.
For reservations made well in advance, a split payment option may be available: 50% at booking and 50% due five days prior to arrival. This option must be arranged manually, so please inquire before booking.

Overall the house was nice and quaint. Loved the bed and bedding. The main drawback was the very loud creaking when turning door knobs and opening the bedroom doors. We also could hear anyone who was walking on the upstairs floors. We were all awakened by the neighbors dog who awoke us 3 times last night. But we did like the overall location.

Charming 1905 house in clean, quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to town. PROS: Manager was very responsive and helpful. Master brm and downstairs are air conditioned. Master has large bureau and closet. Good washer/dryer on first floor. 2 lovely seating areas outside. Lots of light. Good grill outside. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Modern kitchen with all amenities, gas stove. CONS: Two very small brms have no A/C and no bureaus, just closets. They have small windows and overhead fan for breeze. Both bathrooms work well but have no surfaces to put things. Four adults (2 couples) made it work fine, but tended to sleep apart including the downstairs couch for different air/temperature needs.

We absolutely loved our stay at the farm house in SLO. The location and property were fabulous. The patio, porch and all the interiors were so inviting, and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, but it was nice to know there were restaurants so close if we wanted to eat out. Thank you so much for sharing this special property with us. We would love to return for a future visit.

Quaint and lovely home with some historic roots. Nicely updated. Well stocked with everything we needed to optimize our stay. Would definitely return here. Only suggestion would be some landscape trimming around front and side doors. We had to dodge and duck to get to the doors. Communications super easy and very responsive.

Love this property

A beautiful farmhouse with all the modern upgrades. Very clean, great location in a quiet neighborhood, close to downtown and highway 101 if you want to explore areas around the area. Property owner was very responsive when we had questions. Highly recommend this property. It was my second stay here with Gal pals.

Wonderful stay!

We rented this home for a month and it really felt like a home to us. The house was well supplied with everything we needed and was in a wonderful location. We walked to downtown every day and sat on the porch every night. I really hope we can stay again!

Wish We Could Stay Longer

This house was so comfortable and convenient we wished we were staying longer. Everything was as advertised and include a very comfy living room perfect for football viewing. Check in was easy just use the side entrance and you are in. The beds were very comfortable our only complaint was they are very high and could use a step to get in/out. The town is very walkable and had lots of great restaurant choices. We didn’t have a reservation so our first choice had a long wait. The hostess recommended another Italian restaurant which was absolutely delicious. The evening was cool so we opted sit inside. We were comfortable but missed out on the opportunity to sit on their outdoor heated patio at Buona Tavolo. Would definitely like more time in SLO and this farmhouse.
