The Space:
Coconut Cove is a bright and family-friendly 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom retreat located in the gated community of Playas del Yunque in Rio Grande. Just steps from the pool and the beach, this getaway is perfect for families and friends looking to enjoy both relaxation and adventure in Puerto Rico.
Community amenities include two large swimming pools, children playground, tennis courts, volleyball and basketball courts—perfect for keeping everyone entertained. With direct beach access, you can enjoy peaceful walks, sunrise views, and plenty of time by the water. The property comes with one assigned parking spot, 24/7 security, and wireless internet, ensuring both safety and convenience.
Coconut Cove unbeatable location puts you close to incredible adventures like hiking in El Yunque Rainforest, exploring nearby Luquillo food kiosks, or discovering local dining and cultural spots—all just a short drive away.
LOCATION NOTE: This property is located in a residential community where the residents are currently working towards getting the buildings painted and to repair some sidewalks. This does not affect our property’s interiors, as it is in optimum condition. We politely ask to take this into consideration before booking or leaving us a review.
ACCESSIBILITY NOTE: This property is located in the community called “Playas del Yunque,” which does not legally require elevators in any buildings since they have a maximum of 3 floors. Please take this into consideration if you or a companion has any disabilities.
LIVING AND DINING
Inside, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen with counter seating for two and a dining table off the kitchen. The cozy living room features a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, creating the ideal spot to unwind after a day of fun. The unit also includes two private balconies where you can enjoy the natural breeze and sounds of the surroundings.
KITCHEN
The kitchen comes fully stocked with a refrigerator, freezer, stovetop, oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster oven. It has everything you need to prepare your favorite meals.
SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
- Bedroom 1: Queen bed, TV, A/C, room-darkening shades.
- Bedroom 2: Bunk bed with two twin beds, half bathroom, A/C, room-darkening shades. (Compact room, best for children.)
- Full Bathroom: There is one full bathroom with tub
PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY):
We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.
GETTING AROUND
Renting a car is a must when staying in Rio Grande. The property includes one (1) assigned parking spot. You will need it to move around to nearby restaurants, shops, El Yunque Rainforest, as well as to explore the rest of the island.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance, especially during the peak months of Hurricane Season, which are July to October. Travel insurance is inexpensive and will reimburse travelers for most expenses associated with canceling travel outside of the cancellation window; however, this will depend on what the coverage purchased covers. Make sure to review and understand the options before purchase. Disclaimer: we are not associated with any travel insurance companies.
AMENITIES
West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.
West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, and 1 dish sponge. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.
HOUSE RULES
Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please keep noise levels down during these hours out of respect to the neighbors.
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 4 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.
