Waypoint Cottage, one block from the beach!

  • Waypoint Cottage is a private, renovated, 1-bedroom home.... just one block to the sand! This air-conditioned unit is perfect for a couple getaway or working remotely in the SANDiego sunshine! Walking distance to all that the vibrant Ocean Beach (OB) community has to offer - restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, the OB Pier, and Sunset Cliffs! Off-street parking included.

    The space:
    Cozy cottage with private bedroom (queen size mattress) and bathroom. Living room couch is designed to double as a single sleeper. Simple, clean, bright, and fully-furnished with kitchenware and supplies.

    The patio area in front of the unit is fully fenced, along with three neighboring cottages.

    We have separate mini-split AC/heater units in the main living room and bedroom with individual adjustments.

    Guest access:
    There are four identical cottages on the property and each unit has a designated parking space in the alley behind the cottages. Depending on the size of other vehicles in the alley, parking can be tight … compact vehicles are recommended.

    Other things to note:
    Note: The entire OB neighborhood is under the airplane pathway so guests may experience some plane noise.

Great stay overall! The location is fantastic - just a block from the beach and an easy walk to restaurants and shops, which made everything really convenient. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip.

It was perfect for the two of us. Clean and had everything we needed. They were great and prompt with communication. Close to the beach and just a few blocks from great food and local shops.

Our stay was terrific! The host provided excellent details and communication. The residence was clean and exactly as described. The parking was clearly described and available every day that we returned. I would recommend for anyone wanting a stress-free stay in San Diego! We hope to visit again soon.

It was a great space for a quick weekend getaway!OB had a lot of great restaurants and plenty of sandy beach waterfront to enjoy.Ubers were easy to use to get to/from when we went exploring.

Amazing location and exactly as advertised.

This place is perfect for two people looking to be in the heart of OB and a block from the beach. We absolutely loved our stay here.

This was a perfect spot for a beach getaway! Cottage was spotlessly clean and well-maintained, kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals if desired—but it was also within easy walking distance to multiple restaurants, bars and coffee shops, which we enjoyed. Beach chairs, towels and umbrella were handy and it was easy to walk to the beach. Hosts were very responsive to questions and we appreciated the detailed guide with house rules, checkout procedures and local recommendations. One of the nicest VRBO experiences we’ve had—we look forward to coming back!

Nice size cottage for 2. Very clean on the inside. Liked the full size stove and fridge because i was able to cook when i wanted. Or could walk a few minutes and eat at a variety of restaurants. 1 block to beach was nice as well.

Perfect for being so close to Ocean Beach which we did everyday. Walked to some restaurants. Ubered to many other things. Never any traffic.

The description of the property and the amenities are very accurate. You really will have everything you need to cook if you choose or just have the items to head down to the beach including the wagon to take the chairs and umbrella and cooler. The parking spots in the alley behind the property are a little tight but so is all the other parking for houses in that general area. Both Ocean Beach and the dog beach are easily walkable and has are the main strip of restaurants and shopping. We just walked to dinner several nights. There's also a 24-hour 7-Eleven within two blocks if you need a Slurpee fix.The only thing I would advise someone considering this property is the tub is rather high so if stepping over it may be an issue for you, you may want to consider other options. Otherwise this is a great place for just about anyone.

As advertised!

Great space and location. The owners were communicative and we were even able to check in early which was a big win. Very near the beach and we will definitely seek this rental out again in future. By far our best rental experience in OB. Thank you!
