  • This Mission Beach Bungalow is perfect for a small group of 4 who want to get away and enjoy a fun filled vacation in Mission Beach near all the attractions. This property has the perfect fenced patio, one off street parking space provided, located 1/2 block from Mission Bay and 1 block from the ocean. If you are looking for a beach getaway, this is the perfect property for you!

    Mission Bay Park, Belmont Park, San Diego's historic oceanfront amusement park and let's not forget to mention the beach, are all right across the street. Restaurants, bars, coffee shops, beach equipment rentals and markets, are within walking distance. You can rent or bring a bicycle and take a cruise along the boardwalk to find your perfect spot on the beach. There are several bike paths in the area, including one to Ocean Beach! 

    The Dover Beach Bungalow is cozy, clean beach house that was built in 1942. The bungalow is 720 square feet and with only 4 people staying there, allows plenty of space for everyone to relax. This property provides a comfortable place to relax after your daily adventures. Lounge on the couch and see what is available on cable TV, or maybe start a new series on Netflix instead. During commercials, you can update your Facebook on your cell phone or laptop using the secured Wi-Fi that is provided. If the weather is just too good to be inside, enjoy dinner and friends outside. There is a large table with seating for 6 on the front patio along with a gas BBQ available for you to use if you wish. After you load up and start the dishwasher, check your clothes to make sure you didn't spill any BBQ sauce on them. If you find some BBQ sauce on your clothes, it is okay, just throw them into the washer and dryer located in the garage.  When heading out to the beach or the bay, don't forget to grab the boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels provided for you to enjoy. 

    Please note this rental has only 2 Queen beds, but an air mattress and bedding is provided for guests 5 & 6.

    Dover Beach Cottage is Dog Friendly! We can accept up to 2 dogs, up to 50 pounds each. Pet description required at time of booking and additional Pet Fee's apply as well as acceptance of our Pet Policy is required. Please inquire if you are unsure of anything.

    Important: Before you arrive, you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up to date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.

Nice getaway

Nice location on the quieter side of mission bay beach area. Easy to walk around but also easy to drive to other places. House had all the basics we needed, was great to relax and be peaceful while on vacation.

Location is wonderful!

Property is old and could use some maintenance. Most of the windows are missing screens and the couch is very uncomfortable. The kitchen is small but nice. We loved the big garage and additional parking space. Only steps from the Bayside beach! We enjoyed staying here very much!

Location

This was perfect walking distance to the bay, right across the street to the ocean, near the best coffee window and super close to Belmont Park. Was even able to check in a little early which was great.

Everything within walking distance.

The location was with in walking distant of everything we needed. We had to bring our two small dogs with us and the property was perfect for them. We had a very nice and relaxing time.

Anniversary Getaway

Nice trip to San Diego. House was about what we thought it would be - would probably spend a little more next time and stay in La Jolla or downtown but it was just right this time. Meggen was very accommodating and helpful and I would definitely rent another property from her in the future, but probably not this property. Good location and accommodations for the price.

Wonderful

Perfect location for 2 teenage girls and us. Walking distance to Belmont Park and the beach. Beachcomber bar was fun too (21 and older only). Met great locals during Bingo. The house was the perfect size and the bedrooms were definitely roomy and the beds incredibly comfortable. Would definitely stay again

Great spot!

Perfect house for our family of 4. Walking distance to the beach and bay. We were able to walk to the bay and watch the SeaWorld fireworks at night. Love all the out door seating! 10/10 recommend!

Cute!

My best friend and I needed a relaxing getaway. This house was perfect for the two of us. Beds were comfy, house was adorable and the location was perfect! Only thing that needs checking is many of the outlets didn't work... particularly in the front bedroom. Otherwise we loved it!

Beach Getaway Only Hampered by Weather

Adorable property, easy to get to with cute restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Loved having 2 parking spots. Neighborhood was quiet with a lot of other rentals. Minor annoyance was that we were in the flight plan from 6am to 10pm.

Location!!

Great location...just a few houses to the sand on a quite street!! Only complaint is the shower wasnt made for anyone over 4 foot tall. Property manager was great.

Loved this little bungalow

This place was everything we were looking for. We were here with our kids for spring break and the location is fantastic. Minutes from the beach as well as Belmont Park which was awesome since we could just walk there. Great food at Sara’s a block away and the grocery stores (Trader Joe’s and Ralph’s) were a quick 5 minute drive. Everything is literally a 15 minute drive from the house which makes seeing all the things San Diego has to offer so easy. We loved our stay and would definitely come back. ❤️❤️
