Private Cozy Clean, close to EVERYTHING

Fall in love with San Diego from our centrally located historic neighborhood of Normal Heights. Getting around is a breeze when your 15 minutes from every attraction San Diego has to offer such as Balboa Park, The San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Down Town, Ocean Beach, Coronado Island and all the local restaurants, micro breweries and craft cocktail bars that foodies rave about.

The space is inspired by our local spa Zen Sanctuary, we wanted to create an space for you to relax, clear your mind and rejuvenate your body so you can make the most out of your experience here in San Diego. We offer high quality mattresses, linens, and towels as well as complimentary coffee and Tea. There are two bedrooms both with natural lighting and closet space. The larger room features a queen size bed. The second room has two full size beds. There is one full bathroom with a walk in shower. The cozy living room is comfortable and clean and our furniture blends our minimalistic and asian inspired style. The art pieces feature local artist (your host) David Warder and are available for purchase. There are two portable AC units in the house, one is installed in the living room and the second is in the master bedroom. This home is kid friendly and toys and a pack and play are available with advanced request.
The small kitchen is equipped with a full fridge, stove, microwave, and sink (no dishwasher), as well as utensils, pots pans, plate ware and oil salt and pepper for cooking. There is a two person dinette in the kitchen and a full dining table for enjoying a proper meal. The yard is an assortment of plants, dirt and grass and feels great on bare feet. Enjoy your coffee or breakfast on our outdoor patio set in the private, perfectly partially sunny/partially shaded yard.

David was very responsive and accommodating before our trip! The house was a lovely oasis close to many things. We had a power outage in the two bedrooms one morning. David responded and was there within literal minutes, provided us with extension cords for overnight, and was able to get it fixed by the next morning.

We had a wonderful time during our stay in Normal Heights. We stayed for five nights. The location is great! The property was clean and is within walking distance to restaurants and pubs. The beds are really comfortable. Having a designated parking space is such a huge plus!! Street parking would have been challenging so we were thrilled to have a spot. Communication with David was easy. We will definitely visit again!

Location was great, place was clean and safe neighborhood. The only thing I didn’t like was that at the end the host wanted us to do house chores, like removing garbage, it felt like we had to pickup after ourselves . The place was expensive and it should include cleaning . It kind of annoying because we are here to vacation not to clean an apartment.

We had a great stay at this San Diego home. The neighborhood felt very safe and quiet, which we really appreciated. Having a private parking spot was extremely convenient and made our trips around the city much easier. The host was very helpful and we loved the private outdoor space. The artwork is beautiful and adds a serene feel to the space. The beds & trundle bed were comfortable. The sofa was deemed uncomfortable, both for sitting or sleeping. Living room/dining room has harsh lighting, but great if you like it bright. All windows but the kitchen (looks out into the yard space) are covered with privacy film; light but no visual. We were surprised that our only entrance was in an alley, but it worked well. Parking was easy.

The best thing about this property is the location. Parking is included. You’re not far from any major attraction. David is a great host and his directions were so helpful. Beds were comfortable. The living room furniture is not very comfortable. Couch is okay but chairs are very hard. There is everything you need in the kitchen.

I can't thank David enough for making our stay at his lovely property such a memorable experience. From the very start, his communication was prompt and thorough, providing us with all the details we needed and much more before our arrival. It was a pleasure to meet him in person; he took the time to offer great suggestions for local adventures while helping us avoid traffic, which was especially appreciated since we were new to the area. The property itself is in a great location to get where you need. We loved the Asian-inspired decor and David's artwork, which added a peaceful, zen vibe. Quiet, clean and lovely

Perfect proximity to SDSU for a concert. Home was comfortable and clean. We appreciated the A/C as it was summer and warm. Extra towels, linens, clear instructions, and functioning kitchen where we were able to cook meals were all wonderful. Loved the artwork and peaceful neighborhood in walking distance to Adams Ave for stores and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.
