Steps to the water on both sides!! Mango Tango

Very small (under 400 sq ft) & cozy 1 bedroom located in the heart of San Diego's most famous beach community. Just steps to Mission Bay, the beach, the Boardwalk and Belmont Park, Only 1.5 blocks to the beach, and only two doors from the Bay! Only has 1 queen bed and a very small sofa for a small child.

Please note, this is literally the center of Mission Beach, less than a block from Belmont Park, which is great, but expect a lot of people, noise and traffic congestion especially during spring & summer.

This home is a tastefully designed one-bedroom with a full kitchen that can sleep three. Our beach apt features a queen-sized bed and couch. The kitchen is equipped for cooking, and amenities include free Wi-Fi, and Apple TV. Unfortunately there is NO PARKING.

Photos were taken in 2015. Please expect normal wear and tear over that time period. Furniture and furnishings may be different than pictured as items are replaced and updated.

Floors covered in sand. Garbage pale was full upon arrival, musty smell throughout the apartment. Great location, okay place to stay for budget, but lacking in cleanliness , especially for a 80 cleaning fee

Overall a great place to stay for a few days of rest and relaxation. Pictures are accurate to unit and listing is accurate to units location. The only thing listing did not mention was that you are steps away from a roller coaster (luckiky for us the coaster was under maintenance) and that the AC may not be useable during certain months.. was not a big deal to us as most days the temperature was not an issue so we did not ask the host if there was a way to turn it on. Host had fans and a screen slider that helped keep the unit very comfortable. The host was super helpful and allowed us to checkin slightly earlier than when unit was ready. Neighbors were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the park across the street. And just 2 blocks to the ocean. Parking was not too much of an issue, just be sure to pay attention to signs if using street parking. Overall a pretty great place to stay! Was super happy to have access to beach towels and beach chairs/umbrella.

Location, location, location! Literally steps to both Mission Bay and the Pacific. Nice host, quaint and adequate accommodations and peaceful neighborhood. Did I mention location? We will be back. Loved it.

The house was just what we needed for two of us on a honeymoon! It was in walking distance to everything we needed (shops, stores, restaurants, laundromat) which was perfect, as we did not have a car. There’s a ton of beach stuff that came in handy! We stayed about two weeks so we did some cooking at the house. We were able to easily get groceries delivered and the house was equipped with the few essential cooking items we needed! The host was very attentive! We had a few unexpected last minute changes and the hosts worked so well with us!

Good location and clean. We did not end up staying and got a hotel and ended up eating the cost because of no AC and the windows didn't open. We didn't want to leave the patio door open because it on high pedestrian traffic street. The unit would benefit from AC particularly during the summer months.

Mission Beach 2025

The Mango Tango is a diamond in the rough. Centrally located in the heart of Mission Beach one would think noise and traffic. Quite the opposite. The property was clean, quiet and has all things necessary for a short or long term stay for one person, a couple, or a small family!

A bad experience got worse!

The VRBO property at Mission Beach was a BIG disappointment! It was cold when we arrived and the power went out early the next morning when trying to usebthe drip coffee-maker. I attempted to contact the owner without success so we left!
