The second unit floor had a peculiar smell upon opening it. We quickly opened the windows. The dehumidifiers smelled of mold. The bathroom on the main floor is tiny. The garage is also small, so don't expect to fit your minivan. The parking off the main street, a few blocks away, is not too bad. The linens, towels, and beds were clean. The unit was fairly updated. The host was very responsive.

The condo is in an excellent location, close to many attractions and conveniences which made getting around very easy.

The condo was nice enough, but there weren't enough towels. The hot water upstairs was put on in reverse and it took us a few days to figure it out. The blinds kept getting stuck and there was limited views of the bay. There is only one small couch- so not very cozy. Overall it was fine, but just not worth the money, considering other beach/bay front condos with more amenities like washer/dryer in the condo are available in the same area, for the same price. The host was attentive, but also a little passive aggressive. We asked for a 30 minute to an hour extension on check out and the host had booked the cleaning crew for 15 minutes post our check out- and was unable to make any changes as his top priority was reportedly keeping his cleaning crew happy. Overall I enjoyed the vacation with my family- but when I return to SD I wont be renting from this place and I recommend you look else where too.

We loved our stay here. It was walkable to a lot and our kids enjoyed the bay side and nearby playground. The kitchen is fully stocked as well as the bathroom even having a curling iron, etc. Plenty of towels were helpful as I've stayed at some places that only provide one per person. We would love to stay here again!

Great location and clean! Beach and bay were within easy walking distance, even for 70-year-olds with bad knees! Garage is tight, as listed, but my rental car (a Ford Bronco Sport) fit with a little maneuvering. Beds and linens were clean and comfortable. The amusement park a couple of blocks away was a big hit for the grandkids, and pretty affordable. The host was easy to work with, and contacted VRBO to resolve some issues I had with them, which was much appreciated. Great place, may stay there again!

We had a great time! The location was perfect for our needs. It’s steps away from the bay’s calm waters where our teenage kids played volleyball while our little ones built sand castles! The property owners had sand toys, inflatables to float on, boogie boards, skim boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, and a wagon to transport everything which was so helpful for our family of 6! About a block away in the other direction is the beach. We enjoyed the shops, rides and restaurants. We rented surfboards for the day. We also spent a day at SeaWorld which was about a 5 min. Drive. I couldn’t have asked for a more convenient location. The interior of the beach house was clean with modern upgrades. Air conditioning units in each living space worked great and kept the home cool. Beds were comfy. Lots of pillows and cozy bedding! My daughters loved the shower upstairs with the cobble stone flooring and giant shower head. Having a full kitchen saved us a ton of money as we were able to grocery shop and cook dinners there. The owner was very kind! We were given clear explanations on accessing the garage and home and everything else in between…so we didn’t have any questions or need any assistance. My young daughter had a mishap with one of the home decorations and the owner was so compassionate and understanding! It was a great experience and I am grateful for the memories made with my kids at this location!

Fantastic property and a great host

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The property is as described with all of the beach and fun amenities included. There was more than enough room for a family of five to be comfortable. With a great location, walking distance to the ocean and activities around Mission Beach. Bill our host was wonderful. He checked in on us made sure we were taken care of and had everything we need to be comfortable while staying in Mission Beach. If you are looking for a place in Mission Beach to stay this is it.

Great location for a family beach vacation

The location of this place was great, and the place itself was well-equipped with beach toys and kitchen supplies. Beds were also very comfortable. The garage was too small for our vehicle (Ford Escape), but parking in the public lots down the street was easy. Bill was very accommodating, allowing us to check-in early and check-out late. If you're travelling with small children, the stairs are a bit treacherous (tile with metal edging). The downstairs living area also felt pretty cramped with our group of 3 adults, 3 kids and a 18 month old. Keeping sand out of the place was also hard with kids (no outdoor shower or rinse station or anything).

Great vacation property and amazing host

Overall we had an amazing stay. The house was kept up very nicely and very clean which is huge. The host was easy to communicate with, extremely accommodating and kind. The little things we didn’t like about the place was compensated with the great host haha. In all honestly if you have an suv the parking situation isn’t ideal. The garage and space to get into the garage is very tight. If you can’t fit you have to park down the street, which isn’t too far, but not convenient with young kids like us. I still gave it all the stars however because I don’t think it was a big enough issue when almost everything else was great! Just something to be aware of I think. They provided many things that made it easy to stay there without having to go and buy it all…like beach towels and toys, laundry and dish soap, etc. I think looking from the outside it doesn’t look like the most amazing place and the area is meh, but inside they’ve done a great job of making it nice and new and clean so we were pleasantly surprised haha! Overall I give it 5 stars. It’s easy to get to the bay and beachside isn’t too far either. The house was nice, clean and stocked and like I said the host was wonderful and so easy to communicate with and he responded quickly as well!

Great Experience

The unit was close to everything! A very short walk to both the ocean and the bay. Restaurants and entertainment also just steps away. Easy access to the airport, downtown San Diego and points beyond. Owner was very helpful and communicative when needed. Highly recommend!

Walk to beaches!

We had a great time- property is walkable to beaches, belmont park, the plunge and several restaurants. Space is tight (it's still the city!) but plenty of room for a family of 5. We were able to fit a minivan into the garage spot if we left the door up :). Bill was very friendly and easy to communicate with- we loved all of the recommendations that he provided. Great spot!!

Beautiful location if you love the water. Conveniently located between the bay and open ocean so you can choose waves or not. Owner was very conscientious and responsive. We were very happy with our stay.

Lovely stay

Loved everything about the condo. The location was great. The condo was clean and updated. Just a note that the garage space does not fit a mid size suv. There is other parking near by.
