Surroundings:
The house is located on the edge of the village, but within walking distance of the historic village centre (approx. 500m), the mineral baths with spa (400m), Coop (370m), railway station (700m) and Central bus station (265m). The Engadin is well served by the RhB and sports bus. The starting points for hikes and other sports and the ski areas in winter, are also easily accessible without a car. A direct ski run leads from the Celerina/Marguns ski area to Samedan. If you are looking for the challenge of cross-country skiing, the trails are within walking distance of the golf course. The village's own small skiing and tobogganing area for children and beginners is in the immediate vicinity of the house. More experienced sledgers are drawn to Muottas Muragel or Preda-Bergün. Activities on ice can be found at the Promulins sports centre.
The Engadin is also very versatile in summer. A paradise for hikers, mountaineers and bikers! Surfers and sailors (Malojawind) or golfers, glider pilots etc. can also pursue their hobbies here in a dreamlike landscape. Those interested in culture will find a wide range of events every year. Further information:
The lower flat is rented permanently. The washing machine can be used for longer periods. A high chair is available on request. E‑cars can be charged for a fee using the in‑house wallbox with a Type 2 plug.

Other sports and leisure activities: Winter: The Corviglia/Piz Nair, Corvatsch, Diavolezza /Lagalb and Zuoz ski areas, as well as the smaller and finer areas, offer fantastic pistes for skiers and snowboarders. Glide on the long, narrow boards through the impressive landscape in all its facets. Whether in the elegant classic style or the dynamic skating technique, you can experience Nordic skiing in its own dimension on the varied kilometres of trails. Cross-country skiers will find over 220 kilometres of groomed trails in the Upper Engadine and the side valleys. The winter hiking trails and cross-country ski trails on the frozen Upper Engadin lakes shine with light, sunshine and vastness in the midst of an inspiring mountain world. Those who want to enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the snow-covered forests can hike along the 150 km of winter hiking trails in the side valleys of Val Roseg, Val Fex or Val Bever, while those who prefer an overview can enjoy breathtaking views on the panoramic hiking trails high above the lakes on Muottas Muragl. Families can enjoy the Engadin sunshine on a carriage ride into Val Roseg or Val Fex, or sledge down into the valley on the 4.2 km long, winding Muottas Muragl toboggan run.

Location description: Samedan - The lively village in the Upper Engadine Samedan is not only the district capital, but also the hub of the Rhaetian Railway and home to a small international airport, the highest in Europe.


Despite its economic importance, it has retained its Engadine way of life: in the village centre, traditional rows of houses with sgraffiti make for picture postcard subjects. For those interested in culture, the village has exciting highlights in store, above all the renovated cultural tower "La Tuor" and the traditional "Planta House" with its residential museum, cultural archive and Romansh library.
