Incorporated in 1880, the charming historic town of Salida was named as one of the 'ten best places to live' by television’s Fine Living program. Salida is known for its mild climate, plentiful outdoor recreational opportunities, and burgeoning arts scene, including the well-respected Salida Museum. It’s set beneath the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range to the south and the Sawatch Range to the northwest with its 15 peaks over 14,000 feet in elevation (which is why the region’s nickname is the “14ers Region.” The section of Arkansas River that runs near the town is world-famous for whitewater rafting and kayaking.

'It is much prettier than the pictures lead you to believe. Hot tub is right outside the back door and fenced on one side for privacy. Property manager was super and responded quickly to all questions. We saw llama, deer and wild turkeys wandering around the neighborhood while we stayed.
