Inside the spacious and versatile layout makes it the ideal holiday retreat for both relaxation and entertaining, with spacious lake view reception rooms and sunny grounds to enjoy. The ground floor of the period villa features an open plan living and dining room of exceptional proportions, with a generous living area furnished with a comfortable and extensive sofa suite perfectly placed around a romantic open fireplace and SAT TV. The elegant dining area to the open plan room is ideal for hosting larger dinner parties for up to 8, with a music stereo and lake views from the large arched windows to leave your guests mesmerised by.

A large and practical separate kitchen is fitted with all the desired cooking appliances to prepare and cook tasty home-cooked meals during your stay, with a gas hob, eye-level oven, microwave and all the essential equipment provided. A private chef can also be hired upon request to offer guests an unforgettable dining experience, to mark that special occasion or to simply enjoy a little luxury during your Lake Como holiday. With a series of beautiful outdoors alfresco dining areas to enjoy lake view lunches and romantic dinner parties, the villa is already set to host these memorable dinner parties!

The villa’s sleeping accommodation is perfect for groups of up to 9 and is equally elegant and well proportioned, with 5 spacious bedrooms, 5 toilets, 2 shower rooms and 2 bathrooms provided.

The lake view master bedroom features an elegant period style double bed and the 4 other bedrooms provide guests with a total of 5 single beds and a double bed, ideal for adults and children. The beautiful lake views from the first floor balconies and upper level windows provide a tranquil and romantic feature to each room, to provide you and your guests with splendid holiday haven to enjoy throughout the day.

Outside the surrounding sunny lake view garden provides the perfect idyll in which to sunbathe, relax, entertain, or even to enjoy a spot of lake swimming!

The villa conveniently offers private parking (the private garage is around 500 meters from the property) and guests are perfectly placed for reaching the local amenities, taxi boat service and popular Island attraction of Sala Comacina, as well as for reaching the relaxed Lido and water boat hire service available in nearby Ossuccio. The famous attraction of Villa Balbianello in Lenno can be reached in just 5 minutes by car and a frequent bus service operates from the historical village to the nearby central lake highlights and attractions, as well as to the cosmopolitan delights and Milan transport links which are to be found in Como city.

The romantic central lake surroundings of the villa also provide guests with a wealth of restaurants and wine bars to enjoy throughout the day and night as well as picturesque resort towns to explore and activities ranging from tennis, water sports, world class golf and extreme sports to enjoy.

Amazing location

Right on the side of the lake. Three restaurants within a few minutes walk. Butcher and baker in the village, bus ride needed for anything more. Both butcher and baker sell a few other things too so you can put together a meal including wine locally.

Family holiday to Lake Como

We had the most enjoyable and relaxing week at Sala comacina. What a beautiful place. Quiet with local bakery, butcher and corner store. The greenway walk was fabulous (we are unfit and could manage it but it was a bit hot). Fabulous spot on the lake and preferred this to the touristy areas around.

No private parking close to the house. I did send 2 emails to the managers of house. Answers from the manager : there is a private parking and a garage I will never rent again with lake Como holliday. Stay far away from that company.

Magical time on Lake Como!

Fantastic location, well equipped property right on the lake. The only recommendation we have is to bring a smaller car. We've traveled in a passenger van and it was very difficult to park, although the property offered a garage less than 100 m. We miss having our coffee in the morning on the beautiful front yard right on the lake. We've rented a boat (it's a must!) for a few days and cruised around the lake to view all the beautiful villas. Can't wait to return! Thank you for the timely communication and recommendations - we loved our stay!

Beautiful villa on Como

What a special place! The setting is gorgeous, the house and kitchen are well equipped, and you’re a 4-minute walk from one of the best restaurants on the lake. George from the agency was terrific, including on arrival and recommending a boat ride. For Americans used to creature comforts, be aware (as the listing shows) there’s no AC or clothes dryer, and only 1 parking space, which is a little distance away. But the villa had plenty of fans, and once the sun was behind the mountains it was cool and comfortable. The town itself has very little walking distance, but Lenno is a 40-minute walk with the Villa Balbiano and the Villa Balbianello in between.

Authentic villa experience on Lake Como

Torre dell'Isola was an ideal place for our group of eight, consisting of our family of four and four friends of our children, ages 22 to 25. The place was as advertised: the furnishings and appliances are dated, but it is an authentic Italian villa, full of charm, located in a village with less tourist traffic, and featuring a spectacular view from every room. Private steps provide easy access to the lake for cooling swims in the afternoon heat. We loved the outdoor space, whether for morning coffee on the circular stone patio above the water or for dinner on the lawn. A few caveats are worth noting to ensure a good fit. First, as noted, the furnishings and appliances are dated; someone expecting five-star luxury will be disappointed. Second, there are fans but no air conditioning. For us this was no problem, as the July heat at midday would gave way to temperatures in the low 70s at night, and most of us cooled off in the lake once or twice a day in any event. Some will feel differently, however. Third, the ferry service to Sala Comacina is more limited than in the big towns like Bellagio and Menaggio, so visitors should plan on taking a private water taxi (which are more expensive), a bus or a car. Finally, there is only one parking spot, located a short walk from the villa, and the villa can be accessed only on foot. There is only limited parking in Sala Comacina, so finding a space for our second car was a bit of a challenge. We always did find a spot, usually within five minutes' walk of the villa, up several flights of stairs. Again, none of these factors were problems for us, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Torre dell'Isola.

Great Location and Property

Can’t beat the lakefront location with views of Isola Comacina. Walking distance to Locanda La Tirlindana and Lido Di Comacina (have reservations). The house itself is furnished modestly. Updated and more comfortable furniture, especially outside to enjoy the scenery and great backyard would go a long way to making this place awesome. The giant tree in the photos in the backyard has been cut down (sad). The location in an old Italian village is awesome and authentic feeling and the walk through cobblestone alleys to reach the house is super fun. Having the tower makes for really cool pictures. Overall, a great experience. I want to buy the place to take better care of it - has the potential to be a superior property in a perfect location if it was cared for a little better.

Villa by the lake

We loved the atmosphere and location of this lovely family home among the winding alleyways of Sala. A swim in the lake directly from the garden was a highlight of our stay .
