Large luxury Villa located in beautiful countryside close to shops

We are located in a small hamlet in the heart of rolling countryside, and are ideally situated to explore the varied and beautiful attractions of the Charente maritime and Bordeaux region which enjoys a lovely warm sunny climate, great food and great local wines and cognac. If you enjoy outdoor pursuits then you can fish, swim, cycle or meander around the quite country roads in the area. The nearest beach is St george De Didonne about 30 minutes by car. Golf is also available at Golf courses nearby and there are many more attractions situated locally. The Zoo in Palmyre is a must see for it varied animals and the seal and walrus show. We are only 8 km from the pretty market town of Mirambeau, which provides full amenities including a petrol station, banks and supermarkets. Mirambeau also has a beautiful chateau/5 star hotel and several bars, restaurants and shops. We are 3 kilometers from St Ciers du Taillon which has the best Boulangerie and several local shops, bar and restaurants. Chez Nous is a charming two hundred year old, lovely stone farmhouse with wood beams and exposed stone work, beautifully renovated into a 5-bedroomed luxury villa for up to 10 people and an adjoining apartment for additional room if required by larger groups of 12.The house is set in a fantastic large garden with mature walnut and cherry trees, overlooking fields of sunflowers, wheat, corn, vines, and woodland. The location is an easy to get to rural location and close to lots of different amenities . Caretaker is onsite in separate apartment to remedy any problems and offer suggestions as you prefer but otherwise will not intrude.

The house was especially clean everywhere. The bedrooms are quite large and most have their own bathroom which is very convenient. The pool is large enough for loads of fun with the kids and very safe has it has an uplid/step from the floor to the top of the pool. But the best from this week has been the host Johnny who is extremely quick and efficient to answer any small request. He is very knowledgeable of the places to visit which some are not on the tourist book and especially the best restaurants in the area. That's sum up an excellent holiday place to spent relaxing time with family and friends.

Brilliant Holiday Had By All

Welcomed by a cousin of the owner, this lovely property, with loads of bathrooms and loos, essential for twelve people, provided a great swimming pool, and large garden for badminton, archery, kicking footballs and rugby, hanging out your washing, having barbecues, etc., and we were all able to eat together outside around large tables, or just relax under the awning. Plenty of bikes of all sizes, for exploring the safe, traffic-free country lanes, while surrounded by vineyards and sunflowers. Trips to the local boulangerie in the mornings, or the Super U in Mirambeau, meant easy catering. Superb sandy beach at St. George de Didonne, and other closer estuary beaches. Very well equipped house, and quite cool in the extreme heat, with the only downside being the mosquitoes, which were all over France this August. Bought a small fan to try to disperse them at night in one bedroom, and would recommend that a very useful addition would be a fan for each bedroom, to blow them away. Bring some Vick, as it helps! A charming and unobtrusive host in one apartment, there to help if needed, with lots of good tips about local wines and cognac. A great place for a relaxing holiday, for all the family, which we hope to return to in the future.

Endroit idéal pour vacances en famille et/ou groupz

Superbe maison, un peu isolée, parfaite pour des vacances en famille. Nous étions quinze et nous avons apprécié le nombre de chambres et de salles de bain. Nous aurions aimé un peu plus de soin concernant le ménage. La piscine est idéalement située car les adultes peuvent surveiller les enfants qui y jouent, pendant qu'eux sont à table. Le jardin est très vaste et bien entretenu. De nombreux jeux et vélos sont mis à disposition des locataires. Le propriétaire nous a bien accueillis. Il est présent si nous avons un problème sans être intrusif.

Excellent Property

Our family group of three generations were very comfortable in this sizeable property. The pool, which was well maintained during our stay, was especially appreciated by the teenagers in our party. We really enjoyed the bread and pastries from the local boulangerie and the night market in Jonzac. Our host was helpful and informative without being intrusive.

We had a good stay at the house. Friendly host, big house, small but good swimmingpool, beautiful nature, big garden, … negative points: the house was not good cleaned… the cooking equipment was not enough for 12 persons… Overall we had a good holiday
