Lakefront House -Sandpoint

A Sandpoint lakefront house in the most amazing location just a bike ride from town. This luxurious home is beautifully designed and lakefront. Enjoy the gourmet kitchen, breathtaking panoramic views of the mountains, lake, bridge and city. Gorgeous bedrooms, a fun game room, amazing flower gardens and patios for socializing and relax in the hot tub after your day. Swimming, boating, kayaking, and fishing are right out the front door, or just relax and roast some marshmallows at the outdoor fire pit. The game room features a pool table, a foosball table, a ping-pong table, a dart board and a variety of board games. The spectacular lake and mountain views from every corner of the house will amaze you! Nearby there are numerous public trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. A bicycle/pedestrian trail runs across the bridge and crosses the lake into nearby Sandpoint and provides recreational enjoyment and access to all the city entertainment for everyone. The yard is stunning with a pond/waterfall, beautiful flower gardens, fire pit, dock, and pathway around the lakefront. Request the slide show for more photos.

A truly magical place to spend a week with the family. The house was perfect for our family if 4. But it easily would have accommodated a friend for each. Or another couple. We explored, but found that a day/evening swimming off the dock, warming up in the jacuzzi, and back to the water really couldn’t be topped. We look forward to the next opportunity come again

The perfect spot on the lake!

We had such a wonderful time staying here to celebrate my birthday! The views are even more beautiful in person - photos truly don’t do the place justice. You can tell this home has been well loved for many years. The kitchen has every gadget and essential you could possibly need. We enjoyed playing pool in the game room and pulling out board games from the closet. The private dock was great, and the hot tub was perfect for after the sun went down. Gavin and Stephanie were extremely communicative, helpful, and friendly! They even left us some inflated tubes and fishing gear (though we didn’t have a chance to use it this time). The only surprise for us was that the house doesn’t have AC besides a small unit in the primary bedroom. There are lots of fans to use, and it wasn’t bad inside, even with temps in the high 90s. It did stay pretty warm upstairs, which made bedtime for our friends a bit rough. Honestly though, this place is so incredible that being warm didn’t bother us much. We spent most of our time in the water anyway. We would highly recommend staying here!

Amazing Stay!!!

We had an amazing time on the water. Our hosts provided us with clear communication and many ideas for things to do in and around Sandpoint. They made sure we had everything we needed for an exceptional stay. You cannot beat the location and the house was well stocked and clean. The views from the house were amazing - the pictures do not do it justice. Highly recommend!!!

Wonderful Lake Vacation

A perfect spot on Lake Pend Oreille. The house is comfortable and well stocked with everything needed for fun. Gorgeous views of the lake from inside and the beautiful gardens. Gavin and Stephanie were very helpful the entire time. We docked our wake surf boat in the protected slip around the point at night and kept it closer at the front dock during the day. The teenagers loved the game room and the fire pit.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location! This home has water on two sides, a great dock, lawns, gardens, and on a great street. So glad we found it and Gavin was an amazing host!

Great Experience!

Amazing home and property! This was our first trip to this area and the home was better than advertised, especially the yard area. Spectacular lake and Mountain View’s from all corners of the yard. Didn’t feel the need to leave the property much. However, there is the wonderful local town of Sandpoint close by with great food and shopping options. The kitchen was very well stocked and the owners have there own garden for spices and veggies which we utilized. Communication with the owners was superb. They attended to all our needs and were always available to answer questions about the house. They even brought by fishing poles and bait for us to fish off the dock. The vacation was a home run in every sense. Thanks Gavin & Stephanie for your hospitality and assistance. You truly have a lakefront gem.

What an AMAZING week away!

The description of the property does NOT do it justice - it is breathtaking from the moment of arrival until the sad time to depart! The amenities are too numerous to list on VRBO, I'm sure - so what awesome surprises we had not only throughout the cottage, but outside and on the lake as well. Already looking forward to our return!!!!!

The house was what we expected just like it showed on the listing. Being able to keep our boat at the dock was wonderful and so appreciated. Gavin was very accommodating. We would stay again.

Perfection!

We had such a lovely time in Sandpoint. It was the perfect amount of relaxation and interesting things to do. The pictures for this property do not do it justice. It has a 240° view and Gavin has spent meticulous hours creating heaven on earth. We enjoyed every minute or sunshine and sunsets, and hope to return soon. Thank you for sharing your oasis with us!

Beautiful home!

We had a wonderful stay in Gavin's home! The house is beautiful, with everything you would need. The gourmet kitchen was incredible. The views are spectacular! We spend most nights outside enjoying the lake views! Gavin was very helpful during our stay. We are looking forward to staying there again!

Absolutely beautiful home on a picture perfect lake

We can't say enough good things about our stay. Gavin was so gracious and took care of our every need. The house has a great location, we rode our bikes into Sandpoint everyday. The landscaping outside is gorgeous and perfectly maintained, we loved sitting outside in the morning and drinking our coffee. The whole house was wonderfully stocked with everything we needed, especially the kitchen. When we come back to Sandpoint we will definitely rent this house again.

Fantastic property and host - we didn't want to leave

I'm always a little skeptical when looking at property photos so i had high but cautious expectations for Cunningham's Cottage. As we walked in the front door we were blown away. The home is beautifully decorated, comfortable and the game room upstairs was a family favorite. When you walk outside you are surrounded by almost 270 degrees of lakefront which alone is awesome but add in the well maintained and designed gardens and it is a true cut above. Gavin was a great host. He took the time to show us the finer points of the home and systems and checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed.

Perfect!!!

What a great property! Views everywhere you look, and the property itself is beautiful. The landscaping is gorgeous and the home is nicely decorated, and very comfortable. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need. Just bring your clothes. The owner was great to work with, and made sure we had everything we needed. He checked in several times to see if we where happy and if there was anything he could do to make our stay more enjoyable. The home is close to great restaurants, downtown, City Beach, Schweitzer, and Dover Bay. We will definitely be back. Thank you Gavin for sharing your beautiful home.
