"It was fantastic to be right on The Strand! Only major drawback is lack of parking. My medium-sized room was nearly perfect! Only drawback was the small square shower with shower curtains for a shallow-panned shower made for a fairly wet floor. But I loved the historic feel and like I was in a house rather than a hotel. I also liked having the kitchenette."

"Location, location, location! We found the room to include all the amenities and decor extremely high-end. The kitchen fully stocked with dinner for four. The bathroom tile work and shower looked amazing and excellent water pressure. The complementary bottle of wine from the owners winery.(San Antonio) was so great. I ordered a few bottles shipped to my home in Arizona. Although the square footage was a bit tight, the bed was very comfortable. We used the rooftop terrace two relax with friends...

"Staff was the best - from early check in to replacing a non-working hair dryer within minutes and bringing extra coffee pods within a minute of requesting. Staff is the top commodity here"

"I didn’t like the air conditioning unit. It was so noisy that we could not hear each other talk or hear the tv."

"The room was clean. The staff was friendly and they have a great coffee bar and bar so it’s wonderful. The only issues we had just had to deal with checking out there seem to be some extra charge to our room that took a little a while to resolve, but it did get resolved."

"Loved the parking and the room was nice and clean and newly remodeled I would think. They actually had a tv you could use with dtv. The only things I would recommend are better pillows and definately better toilet paper!"

"The only thing wrong was the tv in the bedroom didn’t have connection to an antenna so we can’t see any channels. "

"the last night I was there while I was laying in bed I felt stings to my legs n found multiple bites in clusters I’ve never experienced that and they definitely weren’t mosquitos so keep that in mind if booking (possibly bed bugs) the location was convenient the inside wasn’t bad it’s just the bugs that made it a deal breaker"

"Other than being close to the memorial event, it was horrible. $184 for two old ladies. The room hadn’t been updated in decades. Paint completely missing on the edge of the front door and bathroom soon. Door knobs were barely functional. Outlets were 3’ off the floor without any shelf or nightstand in the entire room. Upstairs renter came in at 1:30am and proceeded to clomp around the room, flushing toilets and turning the A/C fan off and on until I finally got out of bed at 4am. Very noisy...
