    Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Decked sitting-out area. 1 small dog welcome. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a river within the grounds.. This modern, terraced holiday home enjoys lovely views directly over Wootton Creek and is conveniently located for numerous island attractions. Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s wonderful home and gardens, is about 10 minutes away, and within easy driving distance there are theme parks, a castle, the sailing town of Cowes, various quaint villages, farms, and wildlife centres. For those preferring a car-free holiday, there are very good public transport links. As well as miles of scenic walks round the island, there are some lovely sandy coves, bays and beaches, including the popular resort of Ryde which is a 10-minute drive. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile away.

Lovely location.

Lovely location. Quiet at end of Sept. Very comfortable.Good all round standard.Enjoyed walk to quiet beach nearby.Would be nice to have forward info on kitchen facilities.No info on appliances available (Dishwasher, coffee m/c).No info on recycling waste (Everything ended up in 1 bag).Would recommend a stay there.

Pleasant stay

Ok but could do with a deep clean especially in the bathrooms and freshen up the decor. The gravel road very noisy and we were also disappointed there was no nearby walking access to the water that we could find. But overall a nice stay

Lovely house with an amazing view.

Lovely house with an amazing view. Easy to get to Ryde, Newport and Cowes on the bus. Tesco just round the corner and a lovely beach a 10 minute walk away.One little issue for me and my doggy thats not the home owners falut, is the gravel drive! Its quite noisy with cars coming and going when trying to sleep in the front double bedroom with the windows open, on the hottest day of the year. So we closed all the doors and windows at the front and used the back bedroom, which has 2 singles, but is perfectly fine. If you are sensitive to noise this is a better option.We visited Mottistone National Trust which is beautiful at this time of year and the donkey sanctuary which is always lovely. Newtown National Nature Reserve is also a lovely peaceful place to visit.

It was a great location and the cottage was ok.

It was a great location and the cottage was ok. A bit tired in places but clean and tidy. Can't believe that the place had 3 showers! although the shower in the master bedroom could have done with some TLC. We chose to use the shower in the other bedroom. Facilities in the cottage were fine. Everything that you needed. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Everything we needed

It was cold when we arrived but warmed up once we put the heaters on. Well equipped kitchen, good showers, fast broadband. We had all we needed for a winter break.

Had a lovely week at the Hydan Creek Gardens.

Had a lovely week at the Hydan Creek Gardens.Very comfortable was the lounge and beds although the sofa and chairs was looking a bit tired. We were surprised and delighted see some left over condiments like tomato sauce salt ,and a packet of crackers which we replaced. (We did check the dates first!)It was also handy to have a down stairs shower room so we didn't have to go up stairs all the time .All in All a lovely holiday home with great views of the creak .Thanks for a great stay .

Small leak under dishwasher.

Small leak under dishwasher. Freezer compartment in fridge had never been defrosted. Dirty soap drawer in washing m/c. Some dirty cutlery. Oven was filthy and had never been cleaned and was not used by us. Previous guests leftover food condiments left in cupboard. How long had it been there? These items should be thrown out automatically by the cleaners when guests have vacated the property. Despite the issues in the kitchen, everything else was of good standard and reasonably clean. The bed was very comfortable. This was our second visit to this property.

Excellent base to explore the island, very well equipped and good value for money.

Excellent base to explore the island, very well equipped and good value for money. Near supermarket,beach and local pub. The only downside was it is a bit grubby. It had not been cleaned properly, there was wee on one of the toilet seats and someones eye drops left behind in the bedside draw. Don't let this put you off as it is a lovely place to stay. Overall I would recommend this cottage to friends/family and would stay again in future.
