Upper Canyon with secluded views yet close to town in Ruidoso

1950 square foot Ruidoso cabin with awesome views in the Upper Canyon. Conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood with lots of wildlife, mountain biking and hiking. Dyer Straits is a three-bedroom, two-bath cabin, which accommodates six guests. Secluded yet close to shopping and skiing. Dyer Straits is also with in walking distance
to the Lincoln National Forest.
The loft is the master suite and is furnished with a king-size bed, flat panel color television and includes a sitting area. The master suite also has its own private bathroom with a shower. The main floor has a level entry with a covered porch and includes a nicely decorated living room with a wood burning fireplace, a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, full bathroom and bedroom with a queen size bed and a color television. There is also a covered 500 square foot deck with awesome views, patio furniture and a gas grill.

The lower floor has a full size pool table, foosball table, board games and a large TV with DVD for family entertaining. There is also a bedroom with bunk beds. In addition there is a secluded covered 500 square foot deck on the lower floor.

The cabin was clean and cozy. The views from the decks and the window from the kitchen table were scenic. It was great to enjoy our coffee on the deck. The pool table provided great entertainment in the evenings during our stay. It was spacious that we could each enjoy being on our phones or watch tv without annoying one another. This was a great cabin for the family.

No live Olympics possible. Had to build a BB grill for them. Cheap grill didn't fit well with tank.

Nice place Great view. Considering fires, repairs to elect and water occuring it was good. Those were not the owners fault, for sure

Our Christmas in the Mountains

We drove from Texas to Ruidoso, NM to enjoy a peaceful Christmas in the Mountains. We stayed just under a week, I wish we would have booked longer. Right away we felt calm with the stunning views and comforts in the cabin. The kids loved the game room and claimed the bottom story. The adults enjoyed the upper floors to sit by a cozy fire. We baked cookies for Santa and our Christmas experience is one to remember forever. Thank you so much for decorating the cabin prior to our visit. It was everything I could have ever asked for.

Great stay!

We so enjoyed our stay at Dyer Straits. We had a beautiful view of the canyon and had everything we needed in the cabin. Check in and check out was no problem. The cabin was cosy and comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Quiet and beautiful view

Nice Cabin

Cabin is in a quiet neighborhood which we really enjoyed. Lots of wildlife around the property which was a plus for our young boys they looked forward to waking up early to go explore. We all enjoyed the home, very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful mountain cabin with gorgeous views and wildlife in your backyard!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this mountain cabin with 2 scenic and spacious decks overlooking gorgeous views and wildlife. Cabin was sparkling clean and well maintained. The lower level with a bedroom w/bunk beds and game room was perfect for our teen kids. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace on a snowy evening. The main bedroom with private bath upstairs was spacious and comfortable. There's a nice fully appointed kitchen and dining room for enjoying meals at the cabin. There's a third bedroom on main floor along with full bath that's great so everyone has their own space. We stayed for a week over the holidays and the only thing we needed was access to the washer and dryer which aren't available.. Excellent communication by owners. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Oh So Amazing!

Clean, comfortable, affordable, and cozy. We stayed here with family and the setup with three floors was fantastic and my nephew was entertained with the game room for hours. The views were amazing from the huge porches and the roaming deer took it to the next level. Everything we needed to cook meals was there and the grocery store close by. Our last day we had a snow come in and it was a little dangerous getting down the mountain but other than that everything was awesome. I would definitely recommend this place.

Wonderful Stay!

We(two of us) have visited the Upper Canyon of Ruidoso for the month of August for 15 of the last 18 years. This is the first time we rented Dyer Straits. We were looking for a more private and quiet location in the Upper Canyon. We couldn’t have selected a better place. The highlights for us were the upper deck and the view! The two decks are very large and both covered. It is important for us to have a covered deck as we basically live on the deck no matter what the weather. The grill is located conveniently on the upper deck and therefore covered. That makes it easy to grill as planned even if it is raining. The owners are very quick to respond to any questions or issues. The entire house was very clean. Bathrooms sparkled. We would definitely recommend this house to others. And we would rent here again!

Quite Get-away

We stayed at Dyer Cabin the week of T-giving. It was exactly what we were looking for; a quite place to relax but close to things to do, from hiking, tubing, White Sands and various places around town to include hand feeding the abundance of deer that roam the neighborhood.

Beautiful View

We had a great time. The view is spectacular. The house was perfect. Very clean and we had everything we needed. We enjoyed playing pool. The owners were quick to reply when we had questions. The drive up to the house is a tricky one but not an issue if you are ok with driving up/down steep roads but the view is worth it!! We saw deer and a raccoon!! Very quiet neighborhood.
