Ellis Pond Year Round Vacation Cabins for Rent
Roxbury, Maine

Here is your chance to enjoy a wonderful vacation in our Lake front Cabin while enjoying the beautiful endless mountains. Located off Route 120 W in Scenic Roxbury Maine.

The Point Cabin has a panoramic view of Ellis Pond. Wake up to the beauty of a morning sunrise on the side deck then later relax on the front deck and watch the activities on the lake and try to catch a photo of American Bald Eagles, Ducks, Loons, Osprey and finally enjoy our magnificent sunsets.

You can swim, sun bath, fish, and hunt, hike, ride your bike etc...during our warmer months. When the snow flies and the ice sets do not forget to bring your Ice fishing gear, snowmobile, cross country skis and nordic ski to enjoy on the many ski area surrounding us (located fifteen minutes to one hour and fifteen minutes away).

The cabin is described by a few people as feeling you are on a house boat because there is water on all three sides. The cabin has a roomy Living room, a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a full bath The upstairs loft has a centered Queen bed with two twin beds in a partially separated area to the right and an additional twin to the left in the open loft area.

This Cabin is located on a private peninsula and has an all-embracing view of the pond. There are public beaches on each side of us and a much larger public beach a few minutes walk away. The sandy bottom spring fed scenic pond is surrounded by mountains on all sides with Maine wildlife in abundance.

This beautiful lake is located in one of the most scenic areas in Maine and a Great location to spot and Photograph Wild Moose, Deer and Black Bear in their Natural Habitat!

Come spend exciting days at the water's edge of Ellis Pond or just relax and enjoy the beautiful Lakes and mountain views and incredible sunsets!

This magnificent pond is located between Rangeley and Bethel, Maine. There is a Variety Store approximately ¼ mile away that offers light groceries, gas, food and essentials (take out/Eat in).

The Cabins are 5 to 40 miles from the towns of Andover, Rumford, Mexico, Bethel which provides Churches and Schools as well shopping centers, a Walmart Super Center, Walgreens, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, Hannaford, Marden’s Dunkin' Donut, and numerous Antique Shops, Black Mountain of Main Ski Area, Sunday River Ski Resort, Saddleback Ski Resort, State Parks, Camp Grounds, Tumbledown Mountain, Angel Falls, and Many other Attractions.

We have Caretakers, Amy and Kurt, that are located on the property in Cabin # 2 (Beach Cabin)for any questions or needs.
They are available most of the time but when they are not, just message us and we will answer your questions or try and locate them for you.

House right on water

The views from every room are incredible. We kayaked in the pond and went for a hike about 30 mins away. There are plenty of board games and all the supplies for s'mores (including firewood)!

peaceful escape

Convenient to park right outside the front door to unload after a long drive. Inside we were greeted by fresh flowers, s’mores kit for the fire pit, candy basket for the kids and new dog toys for our pet. What a beautiful view from being out on the point! This is our third February in a row staying here.

Relaxation at its best

Every single detail was perfect . Fresh flowers and wine for our anniversary when we arrived and candy and treats. The house is immaculate and the caretakers are nearby for anything needed. This is one of the best rentals I’ve ever stayed at and we will be back for sure. The location is so much more beautiful than the pictures s show. Absolute perfect spot for rest and relaxation.

Couldn’t Ask For a Better Retreat

What an incredible time we had in this lovely cabin on Ellis Pond! We were amazed by how quiet it is. The pond is sandy and clean and makes for a great paddle or swim. The cabin was cozy and clean —and well stocked for cooking. We’re already looking forward to staying here again!

Second to none

Some friends and I stayed her for an ice fishing derby. What a great place. It rained and snowed during the derby. We were able to sit on the porch with our coffee and watch out ice fishing traps. Then when the the wind started up we could sit in the living room and watch from the comfort inside. This place was so nice. The beds were extremely comfortable and able to take a nice hot shower after being outside fishing. We plan an trying to stay here again. Thank you again for such a nice place to stay.

A picture-perfect escape

My husband, our doggo, and I went for a long weekend. This place is so wonderful. It was warm and cozy and so relaxing. The kitchen is fully functional. The livingroom is perfect. Some people have commented about privacy. There’s no issue with the outside. Yes, there are so many windows. But every window has a curtain or shade. We never worried once. Those windows show the most beautiful views. Literally the only thing I could have asked for is a better sunset. Unfortunately, I don’t think even Ruth can control the weather and clouds. The bed is so big and so comfortable. I could have lived in there. Currently, there are 4 twin beds (2 each, in areas on the left and the right of the king). So, there isn’t much privacy in there. But the description and pictures show that. And it’s perfect for adults keeping an eye on the kids. With the pond right there, I imagine it’s amazing in the summer. After we saw the skimobiles, we decided it was safe to walk out on the pond. It was so much fun! Athena enjoyed playing in snow up to her collar. Ruth was so easy to communicate with. And the cabin is so great. (Oh, and the snack basket!!!) We highly recommend picking this place. You won’t regret a moment! We’ll be going back!!!

Amazing views

Our stay was even better than we expected! It was very cozy and had everything we needed-from towels to blankets. The kitchen was stocked with necessities like a coffee machine perfect for the cold mornings. Even though it was an open concept for the sleeping area, there was more than enough space for 6 people. The views of the mountains/lake were absolutely exceptional. Great place to stay for a winter getaway-only about 30 minutes to Sunday River. The caretakers were very responsive. Would definitely come back again!

Mini Christmas Getaway

Great relaxing weekend

We had a great time, the view of the mountains and being so close to the water was simply amazing. The cabin was very cozy, clean and overall just what we needed, time away from the chaos that is Boston. The silence was very loud, like it was therapy for the mind. Will definitely go back in the future.

Incredible Memories

What we found with this property was the beauty of rural Maine and the quiet that we were searching for . The kitchen was well stocked , the living spaces comfortable and the view of the lake was all one could ask for . Ellis Lake and the fall colors around it will stay in our memories !! The caretakers who were available on site could not have been more appreciated both for their willingness to let us enjoy our solitude but also being upbeat and positive when we did get to interact with them . Just want to say thank you for the experience !

Quiet getaway

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here and we couldn't have asked for a better place. The cabin did not disappoint! It was exactly as advertised. There were on site caretakers who welcomed us in and were so helpful throughout our stay. If you are looking for a nice, quiet getaway with fantastic views, I highly suggest this cabin!

Keeps you smiling

My husband and our two young kids absolutely loved our stay! The on site caretakers, Amy and Kurt, were so nice and down to earth, and genuinely seem to care about your stay. The location is picture perfect (but pictures won't do it justice) and the camp itself is immaculately clean and cozy. The nearby beach is perfect for young kids as the water stays shallow, with no drop offs and a sandy bottom. My family loves going to different spots in order to explore, but this particular one warrants a repeat visit. Thank you so much!
