  • Existing rental and experienced host Massimo presents a wonderful appartment located within 2 minutes walk to the Colosseum in a pleasant street full of sun immersed in a neighborhood rich of Roman history, culture and restaurants.
    Conviently located on the first floor, this appartment is accessed via two secured elegant doors via a short flight of stairs or antique elevator. This warmly decorated appartment is spascious, full of natural light with modern kitchen and two bathrooms.

Location was near the coliseum , with many restaurants and bars. Great location and easy access to many attractions. A taxi stand and grocery store near the building. Great place with comfortable beds.

I would definitely recommend staying here. The apartment was centrally located to everything and was very spacious. The hosts were super responsive as well.

Très bel appartement dans un luxueux immeuble,très calme et très propre.Il est situé à quelques minutes de marche du Colisée.Dans la rue se trouvent de sympathiques petits restaurants,ainsi qu'un petit supermarché.Une station de taxi se trouve au bout de la rue.Tout cela est très pratique.

Huge apartment, walking distance from the Colosseum. The Everything we needed was there. Host response was quick and helpful. He also offered airport pickup for us. The neighborhood felt safe.

I just loved this home!Great location and comfortable beds. The only downside is the dryer did not work. Just different than what I'm used to. Clothes never came close to dry. That's the only thing I got so it was wonderful. The history of the home, the doors, the elevator... all just so charming. The location was so close to many places to eat, the train and of course the big guy... The Colloseum! Thank you

Could sleep 6, no problem. 1 block from Colosseum. Decent restaurants near. Close to transit. Host was very easy to communicate with. Responded immediately. Would highly recommend if staying near the Colosseum is a priority. Overall, a fantastic experience.

Place was very clean, the cleaner was still there when we arrived but she was very accommodating and let us start unpacking (we did not check in early). Very cute building and apartment right across from the colosseum. Host was easy to communicate with and check in was easy. Stayed there with our family of 6 and I was worried about the sofa bed for our girls but the mattress was actually pretty comfortable and not one of those flimsy/ lumpy ones you find on most fold out couches. In fact all the mattress were comfortable and we all slept great. Building was very quiet! We were gone all day and ate all our meals out but was so nice to come back to a comfortable space. The two bathrooms were a great bonus.

We had a lovely stay in Rome and Rocco’s apartment was perfect. The apartment is spacious and very clean. It is supplied with all the amenities we needed and getting to and in the apartment was easy and fast. The highlight of our stay was the location. It is perfect. The colosseum is two blocks away and 5 minutes walking. There are restaurants, stores and taxi stops all within a short walk. We would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend this property.

Absolutely beautiful property in a good location. We could see the colosseum when exiting the property. A great selection of coffee shops and restaurants. Beds were comfortable. Small elevator to get luggage up one flight. It was a little far from train. We walked to it but took a taxi back to the train. Gave it a 4 for description because it listed a dryer. it has a dual washer/dryer and the dryer did not dry. We ended up taking wet clothes with us because the dry cycle didnt do much.

Die Wohnung war top! Sehr zentral am Kolloseum, aber dennoch ruhig.Die Einrichtung ist sehr elegant, in einem hochwertigen nostalgischen Stil, dennoch in Küche und Bädern modern, ebenso wie die Heizung/Klimaanlage. Unser Gastgeber war herzlich und sehr hilfreich. Besonders angenehm war, dass er uns ein Taxi zurück zum Flughafen besorgen konnte.Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Wir würden wiederkommen.

This place is in a great location. Close to the Coliseum and great restaurants. Massimo showed us around the place and explained everything. He gave us some suggestions for restaurants.

Amazing accommodation, travelled with one teen and one high functioning autistic boy of 9 year old as a family, so this location, 5-7 mts walk to train station, clean, quite, good restaurants, pizza place with a 24hrs store in the same road, free water fountain on the road end, you name it you got it in this place.. these are not the best part, best part is the service, robin and taj made this stay so easy on us, robin promised early checkin( out flight landed at 7.45am and we were jet lagged no sleep with two kids, apartment was ready by 10.30am (check in time was around 4pm)for us), that was amazing help.. they also were very considerate on one of our friend who we didnt meet for almost 20years to meet us and stay with us for a night..service is the best part on this one. at the end of the first day our kids started calling this place as their apartment in rome :) we are not going to stay any other place if we go back to rome.. we love this apartment as ours :)

This vacation home is spacious and comfy. Massimo was amazing. He was easy to contact, willing to help with taxis and gave us excellent suggestions for dinner. The location is perfect with the coliseum close as well as a grocery store and restaurants.

Charming Roman Apartment

We had a fantastic stay at this charming Roman apartment! The location was absolutely ideal—just a few blocks from the Colosseum and nestled in a wonderful neighborhood full of local character and history. The building itself had that classic Roman personality, adding to the authenticity of our experience.Our host was outstanding—communication was clear and prompt from the beginning, and they were both friendly and highly professional. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, making check-in smooth and our stay comfortable.We truly loved our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a real Roman experience with modern comforts and a top-notch host!

Excellent!

the apartment was just what we needed. It was in a nice location a few minutes walk from the Colosseum. Max met and showed us round the apartment which was clean, comfortable and well equipped with equipment and staples. He was a great host with lots of recommendations for restaurants and offers of help with taxis’ from the airport. We had a fantastic meal in Contrario round the corner and a cheap but nice meal is the small restaurant opposite. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would return if in Rome.

We were two couples in our 50s/60s staying for 7 nights.The apartment is in a prime location very close to the Colosseum, and we loved the views of it when walking. There’s also a market right down the street, and several fantastic restaurants, bakeries, and bars just steps away.The apartment was very clean and stocked with basic household items, though it lacked a few things based on our preferences. There was only 1 oven tray and just 2 standard-sized wine glasses. The tea kettle was not usable due to peeling plastic inside, and there wasn’t a traditional coffee maker—only espresso. These were minor inconveniences and typical for a Vrbo.Some other challenges were the beds, pillows, and sofa which are very uncomfortable, the tiny shower in the back bathroom, and inconsistent water temperature and pressure.The worst issue though was the horrible street noise. Even with the windows closed, we heard restaurants closing (glass breaking) around 1am and garbage and work trucks starting around 4am, as the bins are directly across the street. This impacted our sleep significantly and may bother you if you’re not used to city noise.The property recently changed ownership and Massimo is no longer involved, I mention this as his high praise prompted our booking. That said, the new owner, Robin was very responsive and Taj was great at checkin. If noise isn’t a concern and you are ok with a modest kitchen, this property is very suitable. The location truly can’t be beat.

We were supposed to have transportation from the airport to apartment. No one was there. Communicating with the property manager he was unaware of the transportation arrangements and finally sent a car which was too small. We ended up having to pay for a van after a 2.5 hour wait. After traveling 16.5 hours we didn’t appreciate that. We paid for the apartment to accommodate 4 adults , we didn’t have enough towels which we called on and received 2 towels on Friday. They didn’t have the shampoo and soaps in both bathrooms, they didn’t have any frying pans in the kitchen except a very small one which was useless as we had to cook one piece of meat at a time. They didn’t have any paper towels as stated. There weren’t any instructions on using the oven or the washer and dryer. Also the large bathroom shower kept filling up with water as you showered so you had to shut the shower off let it drain and then turn it back on to complete your shower. In renting a property which we have done many times, it just didn’t meet our expectations and definitely didn’t have the items stated in the listing. Also air conditioning is only in one bedroom and living room which is not stated. My husband had to put the fan together so we could have it in our room. We trust the listings to be accurate that’s how we make our decision to book a VRBO or any other property.

My family and I just returned home from Rome and our stay at Rocco's Home at the Colosseum, and I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome our stay was. The location is excellent and an easy ride from the airport, with a transfer that our host (Max) arranged for us at a great price. Its location is 2 blocks from the colosseum and the Metro, with a 24-hour grocery store right down the block. There were many eateries, restaurants, and Gelertias close by. If you are interested in archeological sites, as we are, this location is close to the Basilica of San Clemente and offers a wonderful example of all that lies under the buildings of Rome. The home was well equipped with everything we needed: a kitchen, towels, sheets, etc., and was all prepared for my family when we arrived. Max, our host, offered recommendations for dining all around town and was in communication with us to make sure we had everything we needed. But honestly, there was nothing that we needed after we arrived. Max also helped us with our return transport to the airport, one for my immediate family and one for my partner, who was traveling on to Sicily. The transportation was on time and friendly, and within budget. Again, I cannot say enough about our host and this rental property; it really made the trip wonderful! Jessica T.
