Great Host & Apartment

Beds are comfy, shower is great & Andrea is a most helpful host. He includes thoughtful amenities like shower caps, hand cream and nice soap so mild you can safely wash your face- all appreciated by us ladies. Many nice restaurants within blocks. There is a lot of street noise, which didn’t bother my friend much but was disturbing to me, a light sleeper. That is the only thing that keeps me from 5 star rating.

Amazing Rome

This property and its manager "Andrea" did not disappoint. We only had a couple days to spend in Rome and we were near everything. "Andrea" was extremely helpful about travelling the city and was a phone call away at all times. I will stay here again next time I'm in Rome.

Snapshot of Rome

We only had 2 nights in Rome where we met up with our 4 adult kids who were traveling, too! Andrea was exceptional at communicating with us and was there to greet us and to walk us through the apartment. We also had the pleasure of meeting his father and sharing an espresso - a wonderful memory and our first impression of Rome! The views and location of this apartment are fantastic! We walked to the Vatican, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica, and Trevi Fountain. We took an Uber to the Coliseum, but actually walked back to the apartment. Thank you Andrea for making our trip to Rome so memorable!

Wonderful Location & Hosts

My family of 5 had a wonderful stay at this apartment. Andrea and his dad met us upon our arrival and could not have been more welcoming! Also prior to arriving I was able to communicate with Andrea and he was so helpful including with airport transfers, restaurant recommendations etc. The apartment was well stocked with the basics and Andrea and his dad even had morning bread and coffee for us! I highly recommend Maison Cavalleggeri!

Lovely Apartment

This lovely apartment with a stunning view of the Vatican is perfectly situated in Rome with easy access to all of the city’s historical sites. Our gracious host helped to arrange transportation for us from and to the Fumincio airport and made certain that all our needs were met throughout our short stay. We would certainly stay here again!

Outstanding in every way!

My daughter and I stayed at Andrea's apartment, and it was excellent. From the outstanding location to the clean, comfortable, and well-appointed apartment, this spot has it all. Andrea is a delightful and helpful host, and there is no doubt that when we return to Rome, we will book his place! As someone who looked at what seemed like tons of apartments for our visit to Rome, we couldn't be happier with our stay and would encourage anyone else who is looking to book with Andrea to do so ASAP! You will not be disappointed!

Great place, great managers, great location

We were traveling with 2 adults and our 2 teens and this place could not have been better suited to us. 2 bedrooms separated by a cute living room. All rooms with an amazing view of St. Peter's Basilica. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen - bonus goodies and coffee provided. Andrea and his father were extremely helpful and charming. There was trouble with the WiFi company and when the company didn't get it fixed, Andrea went and got us a hot-spot. He also gave great recommendations. One caution- if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. Most of us were OK with the street noise but the light sleeper was much happier with ear plugs.

We fell in love with Rome again and with Andrea!

We had an excellent stay and it was such a lovely surprise to be greeted by Andrea and his father. They were so lovely to meet and so very helpful with explaining the city of Rome and where to go and how to get there. We loved the accommodations. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. We would definitely stay there again when we make it back to Rome!

Perfect spot near St Peter’s

The location was spectacular for getting around Rome. Lovely views of St Peter’s Basilica. Andrea the host was generous with suggestions and advice. Clean, nice, well equipped apartment. A bit of street noise which didn’t bother us.

Hidden Gem in Vatican City

This is the perfect location in Rome! The view of St. Peter's Basilica is unbelievable and literally behind St. Peter's Square. A 5 minute walk to the Vatican and Museum. Taxi and bus line right outside the apartment. Lots of restaurants and shops close by. Andrea goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and offers advice and travel tips upon arrival and during your stay. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome.

Wonderful Experience at Maison Cavalleggeri

We loved this apartment. I was clean, well supplied, and ( big bonus), the beds and bedding were very comfortable!!!! The neighborhood was welcoming and Andrea recommended a couple restaurants that we ate in more than once. The best part of our experience was the greeting by Andrea and his father. They must have spent a couple hours with us addressing our questions including setting up our bus schedule to and from Sorrento and recommending a driving service to pick up and take us back to the A/P. The only negative was that we were on a busy, noisy street. However, will definitely return and have already referred a friend. Thank you again Andrea!

3 Days in Rome

As newcomers to Rome (and Europe) we were thrilled to be greeted by the friendly Andrea and his father, who not only showed us this great apartment, but sat us down and mapped out our routes to various destinations. The two bedrooms, one bath, lovely kitchen space (with a balcony), and living area made for an accommodating space right across the street from the Vatican. The apartment itself was clean and spacious and offered a brilliant view of St. Peter’s Basilica from our windows. Situated right down the street from a Bus station and right around the corner from a Taxi station, it was beyond easy to cross the river to maximize our time in the capital city. Everything on the list could be a short walk or bus ride from the apartment. Andrea and his father were beyond accommodating and were a pleasure to interact with, making our welcome to Italy all the more enjoyable.

Fantastic !!

Of all the VRBO's we have stayed at, no one has been more hospitable than Andrea and his father. Not only is this a great location being only 2 minutes from St Peter's Square, Andera will help you obtain a driver from the airport, give you recommendations on restaurants and things to do. If you are Catholic and/or just want to be close to the Vatican, this is the place for you !!

Best location to visit the Vatican

We loved our stay with our host Andrea. He met us when we arrived and helped us with our bags up to the apartment. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay including some breakfast items and coffee. Andrea sat down with us and gave us a map with some suggestions for dinner as well as how to use the bus to get to the colleseum. The Vatican is a short walk down the block. It was very convenient to get to our morning Vatican tour. Andrea kept in touch during our stay to make sure we have everything we needed and answer any of our questions. We would definitely stay again when we come to Rome.

Fantastic location!!!

We would definitely stay here again. The location is incredible. You see the St Peters Basilica from the front windows. There is some street noise. But the benefits of the location are worth it. Andrea is very responsive and helpful. He even coordinated a driver to meet us at the airport. You walk through St Peters Square to go to many sites and tours. Great restaurants near bye.

Simply the Best!

This VBRO has it all. Great views of the Vatican. Great location with easy walking access to the heart of Rome and public transportation. Apartment accommodations were first class with a full kitchen, comfortable beds and AC (stayed in early October). Andrea was a great host ensuring all our needs were met. The value for the cost cannot be beat! We highly recommend this rental and it will be our first choice upon our return to Rome. Yes, we threw a coin into Trevi fountain!

Absolutely Fabulous!!!

First and foremost Andrea was the most gracious host, arraigning transportation from the airport to their apartment, spending time with us to map out the city and providing us with a substantial list of of great restaurants. The apartment is very clean, roomy with all the amenities required to feel at home while your on vacation. This apartment is as advertised and more!!! The location is impeccable, we were within a two minute walk to St. Peter's square and many other historical attractions of Rome. While the view of the Vatican is only a partial view it is an absolutely memorable view, a night view that my wife and I will never forget!! Upon our return to Rome, this will always be our first choice!! Andrea, thank you and your Father for the incredible hospitality...........

I'm in love with this view and hospitality!

We stayed with a party of four and were very comfortable. There are views of St. Peter's (across the street) from 3 rooms. Beautiful condo and view... will return when staying in Rome. Our hosts were the best from day one, very accommodating and answered any questions we had. All the major attractions are a quick cab ride away, or if you prefer the bus, the stop is on the block. We enjoyed staying in Vatican City vs. downtown Rome as well. Great stay!

Great Apartment with beautiful view!

Lovely clean apartment in safe condominium with beautiful view from 3 rooms. Night view is really spectacular! St. Peter's square is around the corner and city center on walking distance. Bus also stops in front of the property. Andrea was very helpful with travel arrangements from and to the airport and with other handy tips. Thank you Andrea! We enjoyed our long weekend stay in the apartment very much, had a great time and highly recommend it. Our (bit unusual) tip: include a 3 hour electric bike trip with guide, that finds you cycling through Rome city and Trastevere including visiting several panoramic view sites overlooking the city. We did that on a Sunday morning and it was awesome!
