This beautiful, 190 square-metre flat is situated in an eighteenth-century building with high coffered ceilings and antique fired brick floors located in a lovely piazza in the heart of Rome. Ideal for families and groups of friends.

The building is located in a small piazza where there is a picturesque food an flowers market; a lovely patch of colour in the heart of the city. Very close to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona; Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain are just a short walk away. It is the ideal place from where to start your journey through Rome and get lost in its small alleys. This neighbourhood is the home to the main monuments and historical places of the capital and the most famous shopping streets, via del Corso, via di Campo Marzio , via Condotti etc.

The flat is made up of 4 big bedrooms (3 double and one with 2 French beds), a big kitchen, a living room, 2 bathrooms and two big entrance halls, as it is on two floors. In 2016 a new Air Conditioning sistem has been installed at the second floor, in addition to the existing one at the first floor. All the rooms of the apartment (4 bedrooms, siting room, kitchen) have an indipendent AC system.
The flat is equipped with tv, internet, wi-fi, pc workstation and a fully equipped kitchen (electric oven, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, washing machine). The bed linen and towels are included in the price.

City tax of 3,5 euros per person per day is not included in the daily rate. The guest will have to pay the tax in cash at the check in.
The rent covers the exclusive use of the whole flat.
The simplest way to get to the flat: from Termini station the taxi takes about 10 minutes and costs about 10 euro; from Fiumicino airport taxis charge a fixed rate (45 euros); you can also book a car with driver for a fixed rate (40 euros, and takes around 45 minutes); you can also take the Fiumicino Express (15 euros per person) or the bus (7,50 euros per person), both leave you at Termini station.

perfect location, plentiful space, many shops and good local restaurants in very short walking distance. Those with mobility issues or light sleepers should look elsewhere as there are there are ancient sloping stone stairs and tight spiral stairs and loud music from bar below until 1am.

We stayed at the place for 5 nights. Raffaella met us and was very welcoming.The place was centrally located, within a couple of minutes walk from the Pantheon, less than 10 minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain, and about 25 minutes walk from the Vatican and Colosseum.Split over 2 levels, the place has 4 large rooms and 2 bathrooms, with an internal and external staircase. The kitchen is large with a big fridge as well as a dishwasher. There is also a laundry area. The place was extremely clean.Some improvements would be to provide a toaster. We spent a long time trying to toast the bread with the oven grill. There were only 4 toilet rolls provided for 7 people over 5 nights.The internal spiral stairs are quite narrow and would be an issue for a larger person. Also, at night, even with the windows closed, it can be quite noisy late into the night due to the restaurants in the square below. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Location! Location! Location!

Great spot to stay in Rome! There was plenty of room for everyone in our group of 7 and we loved being able to walk to most tourist spots! It was also great to be able to walk downstairs and have many restaurants to eat at.Host made check in easy and worked with our travel schedule!

The apartment was a great size for our family of 8 and the location is perfect! Central to all attractions of Rome. The apartment could use a update and the circular stairs are a bit challenging. The upstairs washroom definitely needs a renovation. The host was great from the moment we booked the apartment to the time we checked out.

Family fun in a great part of Rome

We are a family of 6 travelling through Rome, and this apartment was ideal for us. Plenty of beds to accommodate everyone and a great space upstairs for shared meals and regrouping after our busy days. We chose this apartment because of its accessibility to great tourist attractions, cafes, restaurants and the local supermarket. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rome, and are very happy to have stayed here. The property managers were easy to communicate with and responsive to a very minor issue with the washing machine. The location is terrific. The apartment is very nicely sized as well, with gorgeous windows and views of the courtyard. 4-5 restaurants all within 100 feet. Highly recommend La Tavernetta 48. Plenty of space for my family of 5 (3 teen boys) and my mother. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect Rome Apartment

My family stayed here for our trip to Rome in June 2024. Our party included my three kids (ages 15, 12 and 9) and a set of grandparents and the flat fit us easily. Raffaella, the owner, was very helpful in arranging transportation from the airport and making recommendations for restaurants in the neighborhood. The flat was very clean and exactly as advertised in terms of rooms. The kitchen is very ample and the washer/dryer functions well. The location of this apartment could not be better. It is located in a small square that boasts a market with a good selection of fruits and vegetables in the morning as well as a fresh water spigot. The apartment is steps from several great restaurants and an amazing gelateria. The Pantheon is a very short walk and other main attractions like Campo di Fiori and the Trevi Fountain are a easy distance. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Loved it!

We had such a wonderful time in Rome and a big part of it was our stay here. It was a wonderful size for two families traveling together (early teen kids) and a perfect location for seeing all of Rome. We loved the square - farmers market in the morning and great drinks/dinners at night. We would stay here again!

Perfect location

This apartment was lovely and overlooked a courtyard with three restaurants, as well as a farmer's market in the morning. Upper level has one bedroom, living space, kitchen, and bathroom, while lower level has three bedrooms and bathroom. Our longest walk was 35 minutes to Vatican museums, many other sites closer. Great for our group of 8.

Heart of the Historic Center

Large apartment in perfect location near Pantheon square. Good for family where kids (teens) don't like to share bedrooms. Nice kitchen for breakfasts and lunches (we didn't cook, just prepared light fare). Noisy at night with the restaurant down below, but peaceful and serene all other hours. Definitely recommend. Would stay again.

Great Stay in Rome

Our family of 8 (4 generations) had an amazing stay in Rome. We loved the location just a short walk from many of the most popular attractions in Rome. The apartment was a nice safe haven to come home too after a long day of sight seeing.

You are right in the heart of Rome tucked away in a Piazza that is populated with hip young local Italians at night The piazza buzzes with activity but you don’t hear it in apt you feel like a local while staying in apartment You get to know the bar and restaurant managers next to apartment who are super friendly Location is unmatched Literally the Pantheon is a two minute walk where you pass by countless restaurants and shops along the way The apartment was amazing, spacious, with all the amenities Rafaela the host was very helpful and super responsive

Good location appartment

This roomy and confortable appartment is well located. Big enough for a group of 4 adults and their 6 children, the kitchen and bedrooms allowed the groups to eat together, while providing space for some individual relaxation. The appartment furniture is in need of some updating and this would make this property even more atractive. The air conditioning worked well even when the temperature in Rome went over 100 F degrees 2 of our 4 days.

Great flat in a fun piazza!

The flat was so clean and spacious and felt like an authentic Rome getaway! It is great for parties of 5-8 people! The piazza below is so robust with several restaurants, a Saturday morning farmers market! Its central to the tourist sites and lots of shopping! Wonderful spot and i would reserve again!
