Waterfront With It’s Own Private Sandy Beach

  • Surrounded on three sides by over three thousand of acres of open space and set on a knoll over it’s own ( only for this home) sandy beach the house has view across the quiet ( no motor craft allowed) clear waters of 150 acre Wincheck Pond. Excellent swimming off the gradual incline of the beach . Enjoy kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding with the provided water craft off the 850 feet of the property's water frontage. Hiking is beautiful with Ell Pond, the only location in RI to be on the National Register of Natural Places ,1/2 mile from the house .1/2 hour from the Westerly or Charlestown beaches , Mystic Seaport , Mystic Aquarium , Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun .
    It is highly recommended that you purchase trip insurance as bookings are non-refundable. Maximum 7 person overnight occupancy with no more than 10people allowed on the property at one time without making prior arrangements.

Perfect Family vacation

This was our second time staying at the lake house and we are very happy that we returned. The house with private beach is perfect for young kids. It’s absolutely beautiful with so many things to do.

The location is wonderful. The beach is perfect for little kids. There are kayaks, a paddle board, and life jackets for hours of fun. It’s close enough to Mystic to be able to go to the aquarium and museums. Bill and Alison were very helpful and attentive hosts.

Best vacation spot ever!

This is the second time we stayed at this location and it was just as amazing this time as it was the first. My son loved it so much that he rented it with his family last year as well. We hope to make this a family tradition, as it’s close to home, yet definitely feels like paradise.

Everything Listed and More!

This was one of the better stays we’ve had! The area was beautiful, the house and property were as pictured and better than listed, and we thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting. The house and area had the best of both worlds—everything you’d want for an analog stay/relax, but internet and amenities for the modern world. We loved our time there and will gladly go back!

Lake House

Perfect location, beautiful view. We went with our 1 & 2 year olds, so a private beach was perfect. Had everything we needed, some things in the house itself could use updating/replacement, but did not take away from the vacation - the lake is the main attraction.

A Hidden Gem!

This charming house is set on the most gorgeous lake; every window offers water views. It's so lovely and serene that you never want to leave (even for one of the fantastic local hikes.) Check in/out was easy and the owners are friendly and accessible. The home is very comfortable, cozy and well-supplied. My favorite-ever vacation rental!

Amazing little retreat

Perfect home and setting for us to get away for a weekend! The pictures are exactly what you get but it’s so much more to just be there and enjoy. Loved taking a paddle board and canoe ride around the lake. Loved sitting in the little nook inside that overlooked the lake. Trail very close by and also a great adventure!

Absolutely the most enjoyable vacation

Absolutely the most enjoyable vacation ever. The cottage is amazing, roomy, private and you cannot beat your own sandy beach. You can enjoy the water either by swimming, fishing or using the kayaks, paddle boards or row boat. The home is also close to so many amazing places to visit both in CT and RI. Bill and Alison are the best hosts and we are so grateful that we were able to enjoy this beautiful property.

Lake House View

We're city folks, so sometimes we need to step back into nature to decompress. This lake house was the perfect way to reset. It's beautiful and very private. The only thing better than the view was the peace and quiet. Great place to relax.

Great lakefront getaway

Clean, well appointed, beautiful location with private beach. Bill and Allison were easy to deal with and answered all of our questions promptly. We had a great week swimming, fishing, kayaking, and relaxing on the beach. Would recommend!

Peaceful Paradise

Quietest spot, with all the amenities for canoeing, swimming, fishing, relaxing - and even a small sandy beach. Being ocean lovers, we were resistant to a lakeside getaway in the middle of nowhere - but one short visit and I'm sold. Look forward to many returns!

Timeless Oasis

Looking to relax and recharge? Look no further, as this is a MUST stay. Bill and Allison were wonderful hosts and the property is exactly as listed. The charm and character of the property is only outdone by its location. You are close enough to enjoy Mohegan Sun and Mystic or far enough away to feel like time stops as you recharge yourself. An absolute must stay for those looking just to relax.
