What's not to love? Whether your trip includes bird watching, nature photography, fishing, kayaking, duck hunting or beach time, you will relax in comfort and beautiful surroundings in our spacious two-bedroom, two-full-bath cottage! Enjoy beautiful sunrises from your front porch that overlooks St. Charles Bay! You will enjoy watching the Whooping Cranes and other wildlife feed behind the house or fly over to the pond across the road! This amazing property is located minutes away from St. Charles Bay boat launch!

There is a nicely appointed king-size main bedroom, queen-size guest room, and queen sofa sleeper in the common space, as well as a large kitchen, dining table for 10, and large living room gathering space for your family or group.

Excellent views from the Primary Bedroom, Living Room, and large porch make this cottage our most popular.

This house has plenty of parking area for your vehicle with room for a boat.

Families are welcome and pets are allowed! A non-refundable $25 pet fee will be requested. Please contact the host for requested stays over 14 days.

Reserve 1 cottage or entire property (4 cottages including a total of 5 bedrooms plus 4 sleeper sofas and 5 bathrooms) for family gatherings or corporate retreats!

There is even a fish cleaning station behind the cottages on the west side of the shed.

Home away from home

Very nice,clean home. Relaxing and beautiful views. Quiet place to unwind in the wonderful location of Goose Island Flats Its our 2nd time here and can't wait for our 3rd. Dog friendly. Even with the neighbors the place is so respectful, and to ourselves it seemed like home. Near the bay is a huge plus. The availability to take walks and see the wildlife is just perfect. Thank for having this place available. We barbecued we relaxed and just a few minutes from Rockport was satisfying.

Perfect

I was just looking for a place to view the Whooping Cranes and this place delivered! There were 25 across the street one day, and a dozen the other days. The Whooping Crane cottage was the freshest smelling place I’ve ever stayed in. The kitchen table is long enough to seat at least 10 people! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had all the pots and pans I needed for cooking my meals. The front porch was great for watching the birds from comfortable chairs. It was perfect.

Refreshing

Relaxed, saw beautiful views, and the location is away from any noise. The bay which was walking distance produced my fishing needs. My mother and family loved relaxing, and taking walks with the amazing scenic views with wildlife everywhere. Taking in the beautiful sunrise getting ready to fish was priceless. We'll be back.

Great crane viewing

The Whooping Crane cottage was perfect for us (2 couples). The check-in and check-out was remote and easy. The furnishings are fresh and the cottage was clean and we could relax on the deck too. We plan to return!

Better than expected!

My husband and I were looking for something simple and not very expensive for our trip to Rockport with his parents, and our 7 year old daughter. This seemed to fit the bill. However, when we got there we were pleasantly surprised by our little cabin. The living area and kitchen were much bigger than the pictures let on. The rooms were large, with comfortable beds. Our daughter loved, and I can not emphasize this enough, loved watching the deer and birds eat from the deer feeder. The porch was the perfect place to sit (we are buying some of these chairs) and drink coffee in the morning and wine at night while enjoying the view of the bay. We are already planning a trip back to this cabin!
