The location is great, especially to a longtime MA resident that has never been to the quaint fishing town of Rockport. However, for what we paid, I would not recommend this property. There are others closeby that are just as nice and better. First off, while place is clean, quaint, and maintained, there is a complete lack of amenities available. First off, for an historic home, the last thing I want to do is wipe my ass with 1 ply toilet paper! Who even buys this? You just use more and clog the toilet-they need to upgrade their toilet paper. Second, we expected some kind of breakfast, but there was a letter on the bed that they have discontinued the breakfast program, and rec'd some token coupons for area restaurants. We paid over $500. for 2 nights with "crappy" toilet paper and no breakfast, not even a continental program. Third, there was NO greeting, check-in, or even a goodbye. My wife and I never saw an owner and we were there for 2 nights - not good for a Bed & Breakfast that was named a Boutique Hotel. Other Boutique Hotels we have stayed at over the years always had a reeting, breakfast program and, often, afternoon tea, wine, and drinks - help yourself! Nothing, We didn't even receive a cookie. Oh, better yet, there was a bowl of candy on the tables in the house on the first floor. SKITTLES in the bowl - not a candy that older adults would even be interested in. Now, fifth, paint smear on light fixture and crooked, falling curtain rod! Go elsewhere. Dr G
