With direct beach access less than 100 feet away, you’re just steps from seven miles of wide, sandy shoreline perfect for beachcombing, long walks, kite flying, sunset watching, and letting the Oregon Coast set the pace for your stay.



    The Friend Ship is a four-bedroom, two-bath, two-story coastal home designed to make the most of its spectacular setting. Head upstairs to the spacious main living area, where wall-to-wall windows reward you with breathtaking 180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean.



    Upstairs, you’ll find the main living, dining, and kitchen areas, along with one bedroom and a full bath, making it easy to stay close to the ocean views and all the action once you’re settled in. Downstairs are three additional bedrooms and another full bath, giving families and groups plenty of space to spread out.



    Settle into comfortable seating, enjoy your favorite shows on the large smart TV, or simply watch the waves roll in. The generous dining area seats up to 10, making it a wonderful gathering place for family meals with the ocean as your backdrop.



    The fully equipped kitchen offers ample counter space along with pots, pans, griddles, gadgets, and essentials you need to prepare everything from pancake breakfasts to seafood dinners.



    Step outside onto the expansive wraparound private deck, one of our favorite places for morning coffee, evening wine, outdoor meals, and unforgettable coastal sunsets.



    Outside, the sandy backyard gives kids and kids at heart a place to play and build sandcastles while still enjoying full ocean views. As evening arrives, gather around the fire pit for s’mores, conversation, sunset watching, and stargazing beneath the coastal sky.



    Bringing your dogs? We’d love to welcome them! The Friend Ship is dog- friendly for up to two dogs per stay, so your four-legged family members can join you for beach walks and coastal adventures.



    Planning your arrival is easy, too. On-site parking is comfortably available for up to four vehicles, giving your group plenty of room while helping us be good neighbors in our Rockaway Beach community.

  • Two-story layout: This four-bedroom, two-bath home has three bedrooms and one full bath downstairs. The main living, dining, and kitchen areas are upstairs, along with the fourth bedroom and second full bath, where you’ll also enjoy the home’s panoramic ocean views.

  • Dogs: We happily welcome up to two dogs per reservation.

  • Parking: The property provides on-site parking for a maximum of four vehicles. Keeping vehicles on the property helps us take great care of our neighbors and our coastal community.

  • Netflix and other streaming services are available; simply log in using your own accounts.

  • Must be 25 or older to rent the property.

The view from the upstairs was magnificent! Our family of 4 plus our dog were extremely comfortable. The beach access was 20ft away from our door and our daughters played on it everyday.

Can’t complain about the location or views. The house was reasonably clean, but is certainly old. For the price it was good.

Best of Rockaway

We stayed for 3 nights. The view is the best part of the house. When the tide is high, it almost feels like the waves are about 90 feet away. Definitely will stay again.again. again.

Million Dollar View

The view was the best part of the stay. With no nearby beach access it was nice to see it up close every day. Flamingo Jim’s is the best gift shop in the world!!

This home has the most spectacular view of the ocean! This is our second year staying here. The kitchen is very well equipped as well as linens for the bath. The carpets could use a very deep cleaning or replacement as well as the dining room chair seats. Overall we love this home and the location is perfect.

Great wave watching

No direct beach access from this property but it's just down the street and down some steep boulders. The wave watching is perfect. Kitchen is fitted with anything you would want. This was a nice place for our group to stay.

Rockaway Beach home

It was a large home with great windows for views of the beach. Loved the fire pit in the back area. A lot of decking surrounding the home which was nice to sit and enjoy the views in great weather. Beach access was a short walk down the street on the other side of the neighboring home.

Fun time!

We had a nice time. Seems to have everything just took us awhile to find all the hidden places lol. Only suggestion I have is maybe having mirrors in each room. Only two bathrooms which was fine but we could get ready in bedrooms if there were mirrors.

Wonderful view

The best part was the span of windows facing the beach! The kitchen was well equipped also. However, the king bed sheets were too small and kept coming off. Then we noticed silverfish on the mattress! (Glad it was our last night there).

Pros-incredible view! Right on the beach big beautiful surround windows. Lots of room. Most of the bedrooms are downstairs. The king size bed downstairs very comfortable. Washer dryer kitchen Cons-Queen size beds need to be replaced saggy not comfortable, there was an ant problem in the kitchen little ants everywhere

Nice right on beach

Weather could have been better. Was nice sleeping set up for 3 sets of adults. House clean and large enough for 8 people. House did need some minor fixes that we already sent notice of. Otherwise was good.

Beautiful

The place was spectacular clean. We love the bedrooms and the bed was comfortable. Our check in time was supposed to be 4 but we got a text and an email that the place was ready and we can check in early. We did check in after 3 and we were so grateful for that. The rest of my family could not make it because of the snow and ice on the roads as we live in Tigard, an 1 hr 45 minutes away. The place is beautiful and only few steps away from the beach. A lots of places to eat only a few minutes away. We love the place and we will rent it again.

Wildly outdated and lacking in creature comforts

This property needs an update. From the 70’s blinds, the lockbox for a key rather than a pin pad on the front door, to the dishwasher that didn’t clean the dishes, painfully uncomfortable beds, and old appliances. It was fine but nothing spectacular. Can’t say that we will stay here again.

Spectacular Ocean View

Our group of 7 cousins and spouses enjoyed relaxing in this spacious ocean front vacation home with incredible ocean views from the wall to wall front windows in the comfortable open floor plan living/dining/kitchen area. Access to the beach was just one house down the block, a short minute to wonderful walks on the wide beach especially at low tide. We enjoyed the sunsets as well as the ever changing ocean during the day. The house is well located for visiting other nearby towns and comfortable enough for those who want to spend a day relaxing and enjoying g the view. With four bedrooms and a connecting one bedroom apartment, our group of 7 had plenty of space. The roomy dining table was great for meals and even big enough for dinner guests. We loved our stay and left with many happy memories.

Bit out datwd and needs some updates. Pots and pans need update Was not happy that i specifically asked if there was a bbq for steak night and was told yes then when we got there couldnt find one and then told was not part of amenities when i asked where the bbq wasMade it differ

Great ocean views from the main living area

Very roomy living areas, 4 bedrooms with queen beds and one with 2 singles would be good for kids. The view from the kitchen, dining and main living room is fantastic. Twin Rocks to the South and the Pacific Ocean and sandy beach out West. Did not have any cable TV channels, so could not watch any football games. Lots of flat screen TV's but just Netflix type programs to watch. Well equipped kitchen. Great parking for a SUV with a boat attached and two more parking spots in from of the garage doors, Garages not available. Overall a good stay.

Perfect beach getaway

The property is a laid out a little strangely but once you see the view from the kitchen and living room, you understand why. The place was very clean. The furniture is old and a little worn but definitely in that coastal way; it's pretty much what you expect from a beach rental. The beach access is only a few steps away but could be difficult for those with mobility issues as you have to climb down rocks to use it. Kids (4 and 7) didn't have any issues nor did most of our group-just had to be a little extra careful. Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of supplies. Nice appliances, too.

This is the second time staying in this house. Our check-in was great. No issues at all. The house was extremely clean. The only issue we ran into was an ant situation. I reported it to the managers and they were extremely responsive. They had a company come and spray the outside of the house and offered to spray the inside. However, we had small children and a dog, so I was concerned about having bug spray around the inside of the house. The ant problem lessened after they sprayed the outside of the house, but never went away. We did not let few ants ruin our vacation. The house was amazing other than than the ants. The views from inside the house are breathtaking, and I really appreciated the response from the management when I contacted them. Check out was a piece of cake.Our family tries to make it to the beach every summer and Rockaway is our favorite place. We would definitely stay at this house again.

The Friend-Ship

The location and view are just spectacular! The home is very well equipped with everything you would need. The carpet needs a very thorough cleaning or replacement as there were numerous spots throughout the home. We tried to get an early check-in, since it was not booked for 2 days prior to our arrival, but we never were able to connect with anyone to authorize. Would be nice to have a local contact to speak with. When we did arrive at 4pm we could not get into the lock box and texted customer service. They gave us a new lock box number to try and it worked finally. This was handled by Vacasa....never have had a problem with VRBO.
