A charming place, at 730 meters above sea level, nestled in a green oasis among the Molise mountains—welcoming and well-equipped.
Dream of stepping back in time and living as our grandparents and the families of that era did. We’ve tried to preserve every detail to maintain the charm of the past and the daily tranquility. The detached house, located 250 meters from the town center, is ideal for hosting large families or a group of friends.

The vacation home offers accommodations in a single-family home located in the heart of the village, and the interior has retained all the features reminiscent of our grandparents’ homes.
It is divided into a first floor and a first floor, with a garage.
Both floors are self-contained and independent.
The first floor can accommodate up to ten people and consists of:
three bedrooms, divided as follows:
one with a double bed and two single beds, with an en suite bathroom;
one with a double sofa bed and two single beds;
one with a queen-size bed,
another bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining room.

On the first floor, in a separate unit, it can accommodate three people, divided into
one bedroom with a single bed,
a living room with a double sofa bed,
a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom.
The house is equipped with two travel cribs for children up to one year old, who stay for free, an adjacent garage, and land near the village where children can play or engage in outdoor activities.
The house is equipped with Wi-Fi, liability insurance, and a TV in every bedroom and the living room.
We also offer bike rentals and guided excursions along local trails.
The vacation home has all the necessary regional permits.
The minimum stay at the vacation home is two nights, or longer, for families or groups of 2–3 people staying on the first floor, and for groups of more than 3 people staying on the first floor.

The property provides, through a local staff member, a welcome service, cleaning, and weekly laundry service, including bed linens, food supplies, and everything else needed for personal care. The house is equipped with everything needed for cooking and dining.

LOCATION:
Roccasicura is easily accessible thanks to its proximity to State Road 17 Var/A (which connects Isernia to Castel di Sangro and Roccaraso, with an exit just 4 km from the town).
Alternatively, you can take the train to Isernia and continue by bus or taxi.
For those arriving from abroad, you can fly into Pescara’s Abruzzo International Airport (145 km away), or at Naples Capodichino Airport (118 km away), and then reach the town by rental car.

AMENITIES:
The village is a haven nestled in the tranquility of the Molise mountains, at an elevation of 730 meters, with about 500 residents. This property retains the charm of days gone by, offering a warm, authentic welcome and a relaxing atmosphere. The village is equipped with all necessary amenities: grocery stores, a butcher shop, cafes, restaurants, a pharmacy, a post office, etc. Since March 28, 26, the swimming pool and the municipal sports hall have been open, where sports activities and events can be held.

ATTRACTIONS:
In the surrounding areas, there are enchanting places to visit, either on foot, by car, or by bike.

For those who love adventure and being in nature, you can rent mountain bikes and organize guided excursions to explore the area. A perfect experience for those who want to experience the authentic atmosphere of days gone by and immerse themselves in the unspoiled beauty of Molise.

For nature lovers, the town of Roccasicura overlooks the Tratturo, an enchanting place to walk or bike, rejuvenating both body and mind. Since 2014, Collemeluccio, Montedimezzo, and Alto Molise have been part of the region. You can visit the Montedimezzo MaB Nature Reserve, the village of Macchiagodena, dominated by an ancient castle of Lombard origin, The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows in Castelpetroso, the Carpinone waterfalls, the Temple-Theater of Pietrabbondante, Pandone Castle, the Tibetan Bridge, the Fraterna Fountain, the medieval village of Fornelli, the Abbey of San Vincenzo al Volturno, the historic center of Isernia, and more. In addition, you can visit the Cave of San Michele in S. Angelo di Grotte (IS).

Roccasicura Castle is among the 20 castles to discover in Molise; documented in a statute from 1580, it was a medium-to-large-sized defensive stronghold with an entrance gate now known as the Arch of St. Rocco. Although severely damaged by the earthquakes of 1456 and 1805, the castle features a restored rocky outcrop that is now used as an observation deck.

Roccasicura also boasts a wealth of traditional events, such as the Feast of St. Anthony on June 13, the “pizzelle” and wine-in-a-bowl festival, the potato festival, and the summer event “Strolling Through the Village of Roccasicura,” an evening of tastings and exhibitions throughout the picturesque village. Food lovers can indulge in traditional dishes, including wild boar meat and sausages, polenta, “ferratelle,” and the classic Molise “fiadone.”
On the second weekend of September, the Madonna della Vallisbona is celebrated with religious ceremonies and traditional meals, reviving local traditions.

For those who love sightseeing and skiing, from Roccasicura you can reach the neighboring towns via the SS652 highway:
Castel di Sangro (15 km), Roccaraso (30 km), and Rivisondoli, or visit the Abruzzo National Park in Pescasseroli, passing through Alfedena, Barrea, and Villetta Barrea,


For tourists who also value their physical and mental well-being, reservations can be made at Fonte del Benessere, a resort-spa located in Castelpetroso (28 km).

For horseback riding enthusiasts, there is a riding stable located about 6 km from the town, which also organizes horseback rides.

On his own property, my brother has started a lavender plantation.

Not only the flowers but also the foliage is highly prized for its fragrance, so much so that it attracts one of the most important insects, considered a symbol of environmental balance.
These characteristics inspired him to plant a small “lavender field” on his own land, not far from the town of Roccasicura, which has quickly become a source of pride for the people of Roccasicura as well, who see this initiative as a turning point in the trend of rural depopulation.
This initiative has allowed us to reconnect with our father’s place of origin, but also to launch several micro-projects for the creation of various products based on lavender—not only room fresheners, but also:
water for natural skin cleansing,
candles that keep pesky insects at bay,
oils for anti-aging skin care.
