"On arrival I was greeted by the owner who kindly took my suitcase to my room on the upper floor. My room was very clean and tidy with everything I needed. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room with ample supplies. The bathroom was very clean and the shower was lovely and hot. "Absolutely stunning, quaint, 500 year old coaching inn with lots of original features. Fantastic location in the centre of the historic market town. Bar, restaurant and large out door seating area. Extremely welcoming, happy and helpful staff. "

"Small but perfectly formed room. Comfy if squeaky bed. Good brekkers. No tea making facilities in room but the dining room is available 24h if you need a cuppa. Next door to black boy pub - quirky and well worth an hour or two whilst sinking some beers."

"Room was great and hotel was next to Winchester Cathedral. We spent 3 nights there and made day trips out to Stonehenge, Jane Austen’s house, etc. The included full breakfast was exceptional! Staff was very friendly."

"The room was well proportioned and it has a lift, Yeah! So many places in England you have to try dragging 20kg bags upstairs. The food was really good which surprised ups as the menus did not look exciting but was well cooked and very tasty"
