Enjoy the serene landscape and stunning views of the surrounding peaks from the valley floor. Our farmhouse-style home's location provides access to everything Ouray/Ridgway has to offer. It's the perfect base camp for you, San Juan Mountain Getaway! Enjoy sunrises, sunsets, and breath-taking, elevated views from the fabulous upper deck. Our home features a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, a pellet stove, and large flat-screen TV (with Dish Network)in the main living space, a gas grill and a deck, and plenty of outdoor space and land to explore. This warm and inviting home is the perfect all-season getaway for families and friends alike.

Bed Configuration:

Master Bedroom - King Bed - Second Floor
2nd Bedroom - Queen Bed - Main Level
3rd Bedroom - Queen Bed – Main.

The master bedroom features a comfortable king-size bed and private bath, offering a large corner Jacuzzi tub and two pedestal sinks. The main level offers 2 bedrooms and one full bath, each with a queen-size bed. While staying with us, you can enjoy a range of area activities nearby: fishing, mountain biking, hiking, and boating at the Ridgway State Park and surrounding areas. Fairway Pines Golf Course is located on Log Hill, about 25 minutes from our home. Check out the Ridgway Area Trails (RAT) for adventurous mountain biking.
There is room to park up to three cars and one trailer up to 20' long. .

Cancellation Policy: A non-refundable payment of $300 is required at the time of booking. This $300 payment is applied toward the total amount due and is only refundable within 72 hours of the time the booking is made. If your arrival date is within 30 days of booking, payment in full is required at the time of booking. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date forfeit the entire reservation amount while cancellations made more than thirty (30) days in advance of your arrival only forfeit the $300 payment made at the time of booking. For reservations at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy above increases to sixty (60) days before the arrival date. We do offer travel insurance.

Please note that, like most properties in the area, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Peaceful home close to town

Great location close to Ouray. Perfect rural setting off the beaten path. Arrived after dark, had hard time finding the house. Communication was outstanding and helped us with navigation. Highly recommend this beautiful peaceful home.

Great time overall!

Cabin was everything we were led to believe; clean, well equipped, and great location! Squeaky floors reminded me of the floors in my home as a kid 80 years ago! Loved it!!! Everyone associated with the rental and cabin itself were great and extremely caring and personable! Weather and foliage colors were wonderful! Highly recommend renting the cabin and time of year for a great vacation!

Great time near Ridgeway

My family and I stayed at the cabin during the week of my daughter's wedding at Ridgeway State Park. The facility met all of our needs and then some. It is very quiet and somewhat isolated which is what we were looking for. It is an older home that has been renovated very nicely. The upstairs bathroom is awesome and there is also a cool little balcony off the bedroom. You can get the feel of the older home as the floors creak a little bit which was kind of nice. All in all, this was an excellent choice for us.

Home away from home

This cabin was nice, cozy, and comfortable. We stayed here with our daughter and son in law. There were plenty of cooking pots and pans and cooking utensils. The only drawback was there is no air conditioning. But, we made it pretty good since we were gone most of the day and it got cooler at night. Overall, we had a good week at this cabin. I would recommend this cabin. We loved being out further in the country

Great location

The home is in a great and quiet spot halfway between Ouray and Ridgway. The home was clean and well appointed. Very peaceful. We had a couple of issues which when pointed out were quickly addressed and that was so appreciated. As previous reviewers have stated it is a warm home and a very hot summer, and there is a slight sewer smell mostly prevalent at night. But honestly not a huge deal. Overall if you asked me if I would stay there again, I would! Beautiful part of the state and such a pretty location. Saw many fawns around the property, Appreciate the owners sharing it with us.

This was a great place to stay. It was cute, clean & away from the hustle & bustle. Seeing the deer & elk in your backyard was an added bonus. We would recommend this place to anyone heading to the Ouray Area.

Ridgeway Retreat

We have been staying in vacation rentals for several years, in America and in Europe. This is by far our favorite. The location is breathtaking, the cabin is cozy, plenty of hot water, the beds are super comfortable, the owner was very friendly, check in and out super easy. It is THE cleanest place we have ever stayed. It is super close to both Ridgeway and Ouray and a short lovely drive to Telluride. If visiting in summer, just be sure to bring bug spray as those mosquitoes are fierce! We are already planning on renting this cabin again in the winter.

Nice and Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay here. We chose the location because we wanted to be outside of town where it was a bit more quiet. The property was very clean and had everything available that we needed. There were a couple of minor things we needed to contact the property management about, and they were quick to respond each time.

Beautiful valley cabin

We loved our stay at the cabin. It was built in the 1940's, but thoughtfully updated with all the modern conveniences. It was fun to meet Gary, and get some history about the area. The cabin is surrounded by open land that we were able to explore. My daughter saw a fawn nursing outside her bedroom window. The cabin had a kitchen that was well stocked with utensils, pans, dishes and small appliances. It was truly a home away from home. Would definitely stay again!'

Stargazers paradise

We are a family of six. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The common area was very comfortable and welcoming. The hosts were great at communicating and the property is very close to both ouray and Ridgeway for east access. It is situated in a quaint spot in the valley for great views and amazing stargazing.

Not exactly as expected

Location great! Plenty of parking Nicely decorated Beds reasonably comfortable mattress Consistent hot water. 5 staying and never ran out of hot water for evening showers Really nice views Quiet/peaceful Nicely stocked with cleaning supplies, paper products, dishes etc Nice appliances/grill There were some major and minor issues with the stay. Upon arrival first thing entering cabin was a moderate sewer odor throughout Issues Major First and foremost. The sewerage odor, strong upon arrival. Would come and go daily. Stronger at times than others. Upstairs late evening in the heat was the worst. Daytime heat (we stayed in June). Although tolerable for most of the cabin. The upstairs was pretty uncomfortable until late evening. Upstairs remains too warm until late evening/into the night to sleep comfortably. Sloping floors in the upstairs bedroom. (combined with the coming and going of sewer smell, and sloping bed it does not make for a comfortable sleep). Literally had to turn to the foot of the bed to not have head downhill while sleeping. Minor but mentionable issues Box fan upstairs has broken blade. Cannot use. Combined with heat, is an issue Squeaky/unlevel floors. (Tolerable) Upstairs, no large tub (per pics) but a very nice standard tub and separate shower Shower doors upstairs barely hang on when sliding them. (Needs addressed) Not a huge issue but was noted in paperwork to pull trash can to road Wednesday evening for trash pickup on Thursday Out all day Wednesday for actives. In before 4. With intentions of doing exactly as the paperwork noted all gathering of additional daily trash was planned. But no outside trash can to carry out. Someone had already moved it during the day, leaving no where to put gathered trash that evening. So was left with trash to be added when the can was returned. Not a huge deal but maybe advise if this is the procedure so tenants can help keep everything as clean as possible Tv system is virtually impossible to operate properly. Remotes did not operate correctly. No volume control or channel selection. Some window blinds are broken. Cannot roll up. Mainly due to sewer smell, heat, and king bed sloping downhill, would not likely stay here again It’s a lovely place but these issues do put a big damper on the comfort of the stay. I did not contact property management over issues due to the fact the smaller issues were tolerable, bigger issues were not a

A Perfect Farmhouse

We loved this farmhouse property. The location was perfect for the activities we had planned. After a long day enjoying Colorado this property was very comfortable to come home to. If we're ever back in this area we will definitely be interested in this property again. You won't be sorry if you book the farmhouse.

Good Location for Excursions

We had a lovely stay in Ridgeway - the house was well laid out and had everything our family of 4 needed. It was a good location for excursions up to Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Ouray, Mesa Verde, and Telluride. It seemed like there were many community activities in the area and it would be a bonus if the third party app provided by the management company included info on restaurants, activities, excursions, etc. We would recommend this place to others visiting this area!

Great location and so peaceful.

Upstairs ac could not keep up with the heat. Wasps have potentially invaded the attic upstairs and the upstairs toilet had sewer gas issues. Again, some minor issues that would only enhance the quality of this property. Accommodations and communication were perfect.
