  • 33 Frenchgate is a grade ll cottage , steeped in hundreds of years of Richmond's history. This spacious cottage a dress makers shop for hundreds of years has 2 large bedrooms with Hypnos king size beds. We love the beamed cottage it's log burner all cosey on the Parker knoll sofas or waking to hear the ringing bells of the near by church on a bright Sunday morning ..idyllic. It's Central location on well known Georgian Frenchgate offers close easy access to the Cobbled history of the market Square, with a range of restaurants , pubs museums and shops etc. Charming Richmond has a famous Norman castle overlooking the town and has beautiful walks along the river swale only 2 mins from the cottages door step. Richmond is a beautiful place often voted one of the best places to live in England. The cottage welcolme s well behaved pets and is ideally placed for enjoying Richmond, taking walks from the front door or heading into the Dales and Moors to make the most of your stay in this beautiful region.

Lovely house, great location

Really enjoyed our stay, house well equipped, beds very comfy. Considering the age and history of the house, all mod cons available. Furniture and decorations good quality and in keeping with age of the house. Great location for town centre and travelling further into Yorkshire Dales. Lots of steps and spiral staircase so maybe no suitable for anyone with mobility problems, but would definitely recommend for adults and older children.

Short stay at frenchgate

We really enjoyed our stay at 33 Frenchgate. Ideally situated right in the centre of Richmond it is very accessible to local shops , pubs and restaurants.It is also very close to the dales where there is loads of walks ideal for all ages. The accommodation is second to none as it is very well set out with lots of space for everyone. We especially liked the way that the bedrooms and bathrooms were set out . Nick and Diane were the perfect hosts always available if you needed help or advice. Would definitely go there again and would definitely recommend people try it out..
