"A fantastic get away from it all.Waking up every morning to the sounds of the sheep & lambs bleating in the distance with the bees buzzing among the garden flowers with the birdsong and the magnificent views across Swaledale was absolutely idyllic.The cottage is very welcoming with homely decoration. The hosts have provided lots of information about things to do in the Dales as well as lots of information about walking routes. We didn't need to venture far from the peace & quiet of Rubbing House...

"We had a lovely stay at The Old Barn, it’s well equipped, quiet and dog friendly. The parking worked well, we have a 4x4 and a tow bar mounted bike rack. We also appreciated having a secure shed for our bikes. The neighbours are friendly and made us feel welcome, we are planning to return to the cottage to explore the area further. My only comment is about recycling as we couldn’t find a recycling bin. But we did locate and use the local recycling facility, which is at The Reeth Dales Centre."

We picked Feldman cottage as my 80 year old father has mobility issues and other than a could door thresholds it was all really easy for him. The cottage has everything you need and a lovely back garden. Would definitely recommend, particularly if you have someone who needs downstairs bedroom and bathroom (and doesn’t mind sleeping in a bunk bed). I’m pretty certain we’ll be back, my dad loved it"
