Cozy cabin updated & ready to welcome guests!

Rhod House is nestled in the trees on over 1/4 acre of land. You'll be just steps from the Zig Zag River and it's a short & secluded walk into the village of Rhododendron. Rhod House is a newly remolded charming cabin on the banks of the ZigZag River. Relax in the new hot tub and enjoy the sound of the river nearby. Full of charm, this home has cedar tongue and groove walls, a river rock fireplace and outdoor firepit and grill.

Master bedroom has a vaulted ceiling, queen bed and French doors to large deck overlooking the woods. Second bedroom also has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has twin bunk beds. A newly renovated detached garage is now a game room with seating and game table.

Great for a romantic getaway or for small families. Just 9 miles to Government Camp and the ski resorts. Great local restaurants and coffee shops are just a short away over the suspension bridge.

Come enjoy the winter wonderland in the Mt Hood National Forest!

Great Stay

We wanted a place that had that cabin in the woods feel. This definitely hit the mark. We didn’t do any cooking as we were on the go quite a bit, but found that the cabin was outfitted well. A couple people mentioned that getting to the cabin felt like they were off-roading, but if you follow the directions given during checkin in, then getting there is a breeze. Google maps takes you another route which is a little trickier. Very cool river with a pedestrian bridge about 50yds from the front porch. Walk across that, then cross the hwy and there is a small grocery store, coffee shop, and pizza place. We would stay here again!

The cabin we stayed in was amazing. Cozy and roomy. Clean and has kitchen things already so it helped with our cooking! The stay was very nice. The thing is that the path to get to our cabin was a bit risky, fitting in between two trees that probably wouldn’t fit a truck and then going super slow over all of the big rocks and divots that I scraped on for one of them going super slow. The road getting to and from really should be fixed. It would make this place really top notch for a cabin getaway!

Lovely little house in the woods

The Rhod House was perfect. Nice spot near many trailheads and convenient to groceries and supplies. Enjoyed the sounds of water from ZigZag Creek. Everything was tidy and worked great. Dreamy cabin, can imagine it is wonderful in all seasons. Very happy with our stay.

Cute house

In town for a wedding . Easy to find . And a very cute house . Only negative is no AC and shower/claw tub is beautiful but is very dangerous . Someone is going to get hurt getting in and out of that thing and pull the curtain out of the ceiling before they hit the ground .

Great little cabin!

Awesome little cabin in a very quiet neighborhood! Right next to the Zig Zag River which is lovely to listen to/observe. My partner and I had a very relaxing weekend here which is exactly what we were looking for!

Perfect

The cabin was adorable and just the right size! The beds were very comfortable and each room is separate enough to give privacy. We loved the claw foot tub and the hottub. The property is well maintained and the little foot bridge leading to a store and coffee shop was the best!! Give Fernies a try for breakfast. We will definitely be coming back to the Rhode House.

Great place

This spot was fantastic. Hwy 26 is just thru the trees but the road noise is almost entirely covered by the stream. We visited in July 2022 and it would have been really nice to have screens on the windows and doors to keep the mosquitoes out.

Great Little Cabin in the Woods

Well located cabin for our needs (family wedding up the road). Kitchen was well stocked. Beds very comfortable! Firewood provided for cooler evenings was a nice touch. The house had only 1 hangar and we needed more for wedding attire for 5 people. The office was unable to tell us if there was a coffee pot, or if so, what kind, so on our shopping trip on our way to the cabin, we were unable to buy coffee - we are all coffee drinkers, coming off very long travel days, and on a wedding schedule, so this was an inconvenience. Screens on at least a few windows would be a nice added amenity, we did experience a fair share of black ants and crane flies in the cabin when at one point the outdoor temp inched toward 100, the cabin got warm, and we left a door open for a couple of hours. All in all though, it was a nice stay and the surrounding area is beautiful. We would rent this cabin again.

Wonderful cabin

Cabin was beautifully remodeled and in great condition. All amenities well stocked. Perfect location. Great for young kids. House located right next to the suspension bridge over the zigzag river. If you have young kids make sure to take a walk down the street. Someone has installed hidden gnome houses at the base of trees along the road. Highly recommend this property

Beautiful relaxing Cottage

Beautiful! Warm cozy cottage surrounded by gorgeous wooded views. We came in the fall for our anniversary, but want to come back for the summer and ski seasons. Great hiking nearby and a beautiful creek just steps away from the property. Very clean, felt comfortable right from the start. Will be back.
