Modern Countryside Villa with Private pool, spectacular view, peaceful location

A most attractive 3 bedroomed villa, situated in some 2 acres of unspoilt countryside, just 6km inland from Rethymno. Villa Aphrodite is a separate and isolated villa surrounded by old olive groves, oak trees and is reached via a winding country lane and then a long private drive. The living area of the villa is on one level and the interiors are simple, fresh and modern in style. The interior of the villa is open plan with pretty matching sofas, satellite TV, DVD, a Playstation 3, dining table and a well-equipped kitchen. There are three bathrooms (one is en suite in the main bedroom and it is suitable for people with special needs).There is also a third bathroom which is equipped with a Shower/WC. The entrance has pretty flower beds, twin patios and comfortable garden furniture. The garden is suitable for young kids since there is a small playground. There is ample outside dining area for those meals al-fresco and the brick build barbecue compliments this area. Stone steps lead down into the gardens, to a 40sqm swimming pool with children's pool and the raised pool terraces are equipped with sunbeds and sun umbrellas. The villa was renovated in 2015 and it is suitable for people with special needs.
There are a few local shops and tavernas in Prines where you can enjoy traditional meals. A car is essential.

Changeover day is flexible. The villa must be vacated by 11:30 am on departure day but can be flexible if available. Arrivals at 4pm.

Fantastic Villa

Beautiful villa, owners were brilliant, a lovely welcome package which was extremely handy as our flight was delayed and didn't arrive at the villa until 1am. Full house clean and new sheets twice during our stay. We had a wonderful time. Car is recommended.

We couldnt have had a better experience! Stella and her fabulous family went over and above to make sure we had a great time, from making sure basic supplies were in the property (which were really appreciated after travelling for many hours and arriving very late), to helping us find a wheelchair accessibile restaurant and making a reservation for us, small gifts and considerate cleaning mid week! Above and beyond

From start to finish this holiday rates as one of our best. The communication between the owners and our selves was second to none We had a late flight and when we arrived at 11pm there was a hot meal of Mousaka waiting for us which smelled and tasted absolutely delicious thank you Roula. The Villa is a traditional Greek style home and is well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay perfect. The BBQ area was brilliant, however the local restaurants were extremely excellent value for amazing Cretan dishes with lovely staff which made eating out a joy. The villa was cleaned three times during our stay of two weeks and the pool was cleaned every day. It is a family run Villa by Stella, Roula, George and Demitri who were all lovely people Will definitely stay again

Relaxing stay!

We are a small family of 5 from Sevenoaks in the UK. Aphrodite is a lovely private villa on a large plot with great views, clean rooms and great pool. Stella and family were excellent hosts (lovely Muzaka and other provisions!). A mid-week clean of villa was also unexpected treat. We liked the table tennis, pool and swing sofa. The pool was just warm enough for us (we came at the end of May). Nice sunsets. Car hire essential as it is a 5 min drive up a gravel road. LIDL was about 10 mins drive. Restaurants in Rethymno were great (we parked at the Venetian port for 3.5 euros). Thank you Stella and family.

Fantastic Villa

When we were looking for a property in this area we picked Villa Aphrodite based on the reviews so it's only fair to leave ours. Everything about our stay was amazing. We were a group of 6, 5 adults and an older teen. The property suited us well and had super outdoor space with a great view. There is a good sized BBQ area which was perfect for the evenings. Communication with Stella was excellent and we met her brother George a couple of times who couldn't have been more helpful. The villa is amazingly clean and even though we were only there for a week it was cleaned halfway through. The family couldn't have been any friendlier or more helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here. I can't finish without mentioning the wonderful moussake on arrival - thank you so much Roula. Hope to stay here again one day.

Aufenthalt total genossen! Alles wie beschrieben!

Wir haben uns während unseres 14tägigen Aufenthaltes sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war wie im Inserat und auf den Bildern beschrieben. Die Kommunikation lief problemlos. Wir konnten die Wohnung am Anreisetag tatsächlich schon ab 11 Uhr nutzen. Es wurde einmal wöchentlich gründlich gereinigt, Bettwäsche und Handtücher ausgetauscht. Der Pool wurde täglich gereinigt. Zusätzlich haben wir mehrfach kleine Aufmerksamkeiten erhalten. Vielen Dank an Stella und deren Familie. Wir können die Villa Aphrodite nur weiterempfehlen.

Great place, great hospitalitty, great rurrounding

We came in the morning. The host was waiting for us to welcome us and the fridge was filled . Moussaka made by host was there for the evening. The house has plenty of room. On every sleeping room is a terras. You can sit in the shadow if you want. The house was so clean and halfway the week the whole house was cleaned and when we opened the fridge in the evening there where some delicious sweets. We stayed with a little child from 1 and a things what is necceseraly for him was there. Beautifull swimmingpool( everyday cleaned). When we can we come back there. Thank you hosts for this lovely week

Amazing hosts and amazing Villa

Having previously done hotel holidays I was slightly nervous about booking a villa instead. I shouldn’t have been. Villa Aphrodite is amazing, it was so clean and all the little touches were lovely. The outside space was also amazing and plenty of space for the family group. The small children's play area was also a huge benefit when travelling with a toddler. They had laid the rooms out perfectly for the requirements for our group. The Hosts were amazing and so helpful from booking through to helping book a restaurant and taxis as I couldn’t get through. Any questions were answered and nothing was too much trouble for them. The moussaka they had made for us when we arrived was delicious. We did walk down to the local town one night for dinner, this took about 20-25 minutes (with children). Not an easy walk back up but manageable and could have got a taxi. Definitely try out Gallera restaurant mentioned in the welcome details. It is a drive away (about 20minutes in car) and was amazing and delicious. But ultimately the Villa was amazing and the hosts even more so. The visitors book echo’s our comments and is full for notes from happy guests. We would not hesitate to recommend this Villa to everyone and hope that one day we may be able to return Thank you Stella and all your family for helping make our family holiday amazing xxx

Wir hatten einen bezaubernden Aufenthalt in der Villa Aphrodite. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr hübsch. Stella und ihre Familie sind wirklich sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Es wurde in den 11 Tagen zweimal Grundgereinigt. Uns hat nichts gefehlt. Danke nochmal für alles.

Großzüge schöne Villa mit Pool

Die Angaben von FeWo-direkt waren exakt und zutreffend. Die eingestellten Bilder entsprechen den tatsächlichen Gegebenheiten. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war problemlos und in jeder Beziehung sehr freundlich und äußerst zuvorkommend. Die sehr großzügige Villa war absolut sauber und gepflegt, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Übergabe bei An- und Abreise war vollkommen problemlos und sehr freundlich. Zwischenreinigung mit Wäschewechsel erfolgte nach Absprache. Die Vermieterin Stella war sehr freundlich und absolut zuvorkommend. Zusammen mit ihren Eltern und ihrem Bruder war ständig jemand erreichbar. Der Pool wurde mehrfach in den frühen Morgenstunden vom Vater oder Bruder gereinigt und gewartet. Trotz sehr herbstlichen Wetterbedingungen Mitte Oktober war der Aufenthalt sehr schön und empfehlenswert. Vielen Dank an die Gastgeber, die uns auch mit der Erstversorgung an Lebensmitteln bei der Anreise und einem leckeren Essen und Kuchen überrascht haben. Wir hatten die Villa mit 4 erwachsenen Personen gemietet.

Wunderschönes Fleckchen Erde zum erholen und Sonne tanken - Amazing Place

Die Villa liegt Abseits von allem Trubel, was besonders in der heutigen Zeit ein riesen Pluspunkt ist. Durch die Lage ist man den ganzen Tag von Sonne umgeben und kann die Urlaubszeit in der tollen Pool- und Gartenlandschaft genießen. Die Anlage ist im gesamten super gepflegt und bietet alles was man für den täglichen Bedarf benötigt. Stella ist ebenfalls eine wunderbare Gastgeberin, wir haben uns selten an einem Ort so gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Allein die kleine Überraschung bei unserer Ankunft hätten wir so nicht erwartet. An dieser Stelle nochmals vielen Dank für das leckere Moussaka!!! Wir waren für 10 Tage dort und waren am Abreisetage traurig, die Villa verlassen zu müssen. Wenn es sich einrichten lässt, kommen wir garantiert wieder!

Hier stimmt alles

Fantastisches Haus in absoluter Alleinlage. Es fehlt an nichts. Der Kontakt zu den Vermietern war hervorragend und gleichzeitig sehr unaufdringlich. Der Pool und das ganze Haus waren sehr sauber. Wir machen seit 20 Jahren Urlaub in Ferienhäusern. Es gibt nur eine Bewetung: Perfekt. Vielen Dank und hoffentlich bis bald.

Lovely stay

Very quiet location about a mile outside of the nearest village with a small shop and a few food options. Walkable if you don't mind the hill on the way back. Owner was very attentive and eager to help. Villa was clean and nicely equipped. Also came with some useful food bits already (and a homemade meal on arrival - but let them know if you're vege!). Quick tip: If you're following a satnav, make sure it's taking you through Atsipopoulo and not vertically though Prines - especially when coming from the West.

Für Familien ideal

Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und man bekam gleich Tipps, was man alles in der Gegend erleben kann. Zu den Stränden oder der Stadt musst man nur ca. 10 Minuten fahren. Das Haus ist wie auf den Bildern und man dort richtig entspannen und genießen. Der Pool ist sehr sauber und wird täglich geputzt. Ideal ist das Kinderbecken. Die Betreuung ist super. Wir haben unseren 2 wöchigen Urlaub mit 2 Familien sehr genossen und das Haus ist nur zum empfehlen.

Feel like home

Right as we arrived we got a warm welcome from the whole family. The first impression from the property was amazing, in total clean, comfortable and well furnished like the kitchen. Some extras like a "welcome package", some nice surpises for the kids and local culinary specialities we discovered, "you cannot ask for more" to enjoy the holidays. And all of the family was there for us whenever something was needed. If you searching for a quied and spaciouly laid out place to spend your holiday, this is defintely a recommendation!

Paradise in Prines

We had a wonderful time in Crete and truly enjoyed our stay at Villa Aphrodite! We have rented many houses but Stella and her family were by far the best hosts we have encountered! Their gracious giving of Cretan food which were delicious the house was well equipped with food to get us started and the house itself was comfortable and immaculate! We can’t say enough good things about our stay . It was truly paradise!!

Wonderful Villa, even better hosts!

My wife, daughter and I have just returned from a fabulous stay at Villa Aphrodite. Our flight from Dublin to Chania arrived late meaning we didn’t get to the Villa until midnight. Waiting for us on the kitchen table was home made moussaka, fresh bread and Easter treats. The fridge was also stocked with wine, beer, water and milk. Throughout the stay Stella and her family were the most wonderful of hosts. On a rare cloudy day our daughter was brought a new cuddly toy and doll to play with. On Easter Sunday one of the most important days in the Greek Family calendar the family came out of their way to bring some of their traditional roast lamb. They could not do more to make our stay anymore memorable. The Villa itself is a sanctuary. Located high in the village of Prines, you feel a world away from the hustle of day to day life. We had the most relaxing stay and since our return we having been telling all our family and friends about are most relaxing and enjoyable family holiday. We will be back in the near future! A perfect place to spend hollidays in Crete

Privacy, quietness, comfort, beautifull surroundings, great view, very nice swimming pool. The house is very well located to discover and enjoy what Crete has to offer visitors during their hollidays. The very friendly family, owning the house, prepared us a nice welcome and made sure that everything was impeccable during our stay.

Perfekter Urlaub

Das Ferienhaus ist traumhaft ruhig gelegen, mit einem schönen Blick auf Berge und Wasser. Die Ausstattung ist hochwertig, es ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen schönen Urlaub braucht. Der Swimmingpool ist groß und sauber, wir konnten ihn allerdings wegen der Jahreszeit noch nicht nutzen. Man kann sehr schöne Ausflüge unternehmen, bei denen wirklich alles dabei ist: alte Städte und Bergdörfer, Klosteranlagen, Berge und Strände. Eine klare 5 Sterne Wertung. Hervorzuheben ist die Gastfreundschaft von Stella und ihrer ganzen Familie! Wir sind spät angekommen und hatten einen vollen Kühlschrank. Darüber hinaus wurde uns jeder Wunsch erfüllt (z.B. Geburtstagstorte für unsere Tochter). Wir wurden sogar zum traditionellen griechischem Osterfest mit Lammbraten eingeladen. Ein tolles Erlebnis! Am Abreisetag durften wir wegen unseres späten Fluges bis 16 Uhr im Haus bleiben. Wir machen oft Urlaub im Ferienhaus, aber solche Gastgeber hatten wir noch nicht - vielen, vielen Dank!!
