Wonderful condo in the amenity-rich community of Canal Pointe, Rehoboth Beach. Just a short bike ride away from Downtown Rehoboth Beach and boardwalk. Located directly across from the pool and tennis courts, this condo features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, balcony, and the convenience of an elevator.  The 1st bedroom offers twin over double bunk beds with an additional single bed in the room. The Master bedroom has king bed, on-suite bathroom and LOTS of windows! Kitchen is well equipped with everything you'll need for your stay. Each room has a ceiling fan and TV, with a washer/ dryer located inside the unit. Lastly, the living room couch pulls out to Queen bed. This Summer will be this rental unit's FIRST full season. Condo is dog friendly.

LINENS: This rental property will provide mattress protective pads, pillows and bedspreads and/or comforters. Most property owners also have additional blankets and pillows stored in closets that are available for use. Rental guests have the option to bring their own linens (sheets, pillowcases and towels) or rent them. Sunset Rentals will provide contact information for several local linen rental companies in our welcome letter. The welcome letter is emailed out 2 weeks prior to occupancy date.

CANCELLATION POLICY: All reservations are subject to a nonrefundable $80 admin fee. If GUEST cancels 60 days prior to arrival date, then 100% refund will be provided (less $80 admin fee). If the GUEST cancels 30 days prior to arrival date, then 50% refund will be provided (less $80 admin fee)

Chilly Week At The Beach

We had a very nice time although the weather was chilly. The condo was very clean and nicely decorated. The only issue we had was that the washer and dryer were broken so we lost some vacation time waiting for a repairman and doing laundry at the laundromat.

Turtle Sightings Dolphin Sightings

This charming apartment was a nice spot to rest and relax before our next adventure. Bedrooms were spacious, kitchen had plenty of amenities, and the complex was quiet and folks were friendly. The balcony overlooking the turtle pond would benefit from some better furniture. Overall, we had a great time, we were close to everything, and the beach and boardwalk were wonderful.

Construction during stay

We loved the property and its location. We were quite upset to see that the balcony was under construction and unusable during our stay. We did not receive any communication about the construction prior to our arrival. Repairs took place during our stay creating quite a bit of disruption (closing blinds and dodging workers who could look into the property as they worked). I reached out to the property manager after our stay and was told that this was out of their control (which I completely understand). I would have appreciated any form of communication in advance and any form of compensation (even small) for having our time disrupted unexpectedly.

Overall a great stay.

This was the first year in 16 years we didn’t stay beach front. Neighborhood was quiet and the pool was big and clean. We had a maintenance issue that was resolved the next day. The location made it easy to access any of the beach attractions. We will consider staying again.

Suprise!.. $300 in fines / Construction noise Mon thru Fri 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.- no privacy

#1-Extreme Noise -We received an email on Jun 16 saying there would be repairs (too late to cancel under the cancellation policy. OUR VACATION WAS RUINED-we were told there would be a repair, NOT that ALL NEW BALCONIES were being constructed. We had no privacy as they were right at our window. Men hammering, drilling, sawing 8am to 5pm Mon through Fri ! #2 LESS THAN 24 hours before checkout we started to get email, texts and messages Accusing us of failing to return a net on the sports court-$300 fines. (NOT once, but 3 times!) Its easy to understand that a person trying to relax and spend valuable time with their family could easily be distracted . On 2 occasions we initially walked off the court without putting the net back, but went back to return it. If the HOA was well meaning, why not start with a first time warning , instead of waiting all week without any communications? After checkout I took time to talk to 4 couples who ALL stated that the HOA is notor-iously known for this! Our agent told us he had worked for them over 20 years now and said they would be impossible to reason with. Canal Pointe is a good location and has nice amenities but BEWARE of the fines and surprise construction which may be waiting for the unsuspecting family at the end of their stay. If we would just have been dealt with openly and honestly, I believe we could have salvaged our long awaited and hard-earned getaway and would have returned.

Family of Four

Our family of four had a nice time at Canal Pointe. This was our second stay in this unit. It’s convenient to the Rehoboth boardwalk and a 5-10 minute drive to Tower Beach in Dewey, which we love. We also love going to Cape Henlopen, which is about 15 minutes away. The balconies were being replaced while we were there, which was a lot of hammering each day, but it was a safety issue that needed to be fixed.

Rehoboth Beach Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay in our condo. The condo was well stocked and it was great to be right across from the pool. We chose to "stay home" one day and be at the pool instead of the beach! We were able to bring our dogs and met other vacationers who did the same! Definitely coming back next year!

Wonderful!

We stayed at this location last year, but a different unit. The location is close to so many things - boardwalk, Dewey, Bethany, and a 40 minute drive to OCMD. The house was great for our family!

Home away from home

We have stayed at the Grande at Canal Point for the past 7 years. This unit was the perfect fit for my family! We love the location across from the pool and being on the 3rd floor is great with the elevator directly beside us. Carl communicated with us via email and text from the time we booked until the time we checked out. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the keyless entry makes it so easy to come and go. Our 7 year old loved sleeping in the bunk beds and having his own tv in the room. We loved the beach decor and there was plenty of storage for all of our items. We will definitely be booking again!

Great condo!!!!

I loved this condo!!! I felt that this condo was very well equipped for renters having televisions in each room and a lot of sleeping quarters for more sleeping if necessary. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans for cooking. I just wished the condo came with a parking pass. I would love to rent this beautiful condo again.

Great place to vacate

Everything about the unit was great from beginning to end. Easy check in very clean, quiet, comfortable, and short distance to the boardwalk. We wished we could have stayed longer. Hope to come back next summer

April escape

We recently had stayed at the Canal Pointe property and had a very comfortable month long stay .Everything was as describe in the info section. Carl was easy to work with and went out of his way to make us comfortable while we were there. The unit is on the 3rd floor , but there is an elevator which makes moving luggage and groceries so much easier. The building is also directly across from the pool and the rec area which makes access extremely easy. The location is set back not far off of RT1 and near the outlets which makes it a little quieter while still having easy access .
