There are four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a powder room. Features include beautiful soapstone countertops on the island and in the kitchen, pine floors throughout, an oceanfront soaking tub in the primary suite, and heart pine flooring in the primary bedroom. Every room faces the ocean with ample seating and a cozy Bar Harbor swing—ideal for lazy afternoon naps or reading by the sea. The well-appointed kitchen will delight any home chef. Additional amenities include elegant coastal décor, free Wi-Fi, a gas grill, flat-screen TVs, a corner gas fireplace, and large French doors in the main living room that open onto a screened porch with breathtaking ocean views. Not only is Rehoboth Beach spectacular in summer—it's also perfect for fall and winter escapes, with year-round events such as the Jazz Festival, Sea Witch Parade, and Fall Arts Festival.
LOCATION: Located in North Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, at the corner of Surf Ave and Pennsylvania Ave—just steps from the north end of the boardwalk and beach, and only five blocks to Rehoboth Ave. Enjoy a short walk to five-star restaurants, tax-free boutique shopping, Funland, and all the excitement of downtown Rehoboth. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the easy bike access to Gordon's Pond State Park, featuring scenic wetlands trails that connect to Cape Henlopen State Park, where you can climb WWII observation towers, explore historic fortifications, and bike into the charming town of Lewes.
PARKING: Private driveway for four cars. No more than four cars are permitted in the driveway.
AMENITIES: Linens are provided, ceiling fans, a gas grill, a washer and dryer, central AC, Wi-Fi, an outdoor shower, and a fenced-in yard.
THINGS TO KNOW: This home rents from Friday to Friday. The bunk beds accommodate children only. Outdoor surveillance is exterior only. No pets and no smoking permitted. The $249.99 processing fee is non-refundable if you need to cancel your reservation.
Please note that the VRBO service fee is charged separately by VRBO and is not imposed by the Host. As a result, your credit card will reflect two separate charges: one from VRBO for the service fee and one from the Host for the rental charges. The VRBO service fee will not appear on the Rental Agreement.

Fantastic location and accommodations. In town for a family wedding and it was a perfect location - steps to the beach, short distance to the venue and easy walking distance to the boardwalk. House is very well appointed and has everything you need for a great vacation!

Another Perfect Stat at the Moondock

The Moondock is perfect located right at the quieter north end of the beach with a great deck overlooking the wave. A short walk to all the restaurants and stores in town. Lovely house. Another wonderful stay at the beach.

Moondock is probably the best waterfront vacation rental in Rehoboth. Perfect view of the beach and waves. Right at the north end of the Boardwalk. An easy walk to the restaurants in town.

The dream is real

The home itself is lovely—especially the master suite; but add to the interior space the AMAZING DECK SPACES, the PROXIMITY to both the beach and downtown Rehoboth, and the MAGNIFICENT VIEWS, VIEWS, VIEWS, and this rental far exceeded our expectations. This is the perfect combination of comfort and luxury.

Exceptional property

We had a wonderful stay in Rehoboth. This home was just as gorgeous and perfectly located as the listing indicated. We spent more time outside on the decks than we did inside. The kitchen was well stocked with more than the basics needed for a group of avid home cooks. I would rent this property again in a heartbeat.

Moon dock 1 Rehoboth Beach

The process to rent this property could not have been easier. We were six adults a toddler and an infant. The property was well designed and beautifully decorated. It is perfectly located near the beach and boardwalk. We had a wonderful vacation there and would definitely recommend it!!

Issues, but great service

Great location, beautiful house. Our issue: The previous guests left behind an undeniable "pet smell", but the ReMax team was extremely proactive in doing everything possible to mitigate the smell and make us comfortable. By the end of our stay the smell was almost unnoticeable.

Unplugging with family and friends

House was great! Perfect location just north of the boardwalk. My favorite thing was the porches! Nothing like a beautiful sunrise with a cup of coffee and a book to start the day. Having the screened porches was perfect, especially in the evenings. Our family had a wonderful time and we hope to return again next year!

Rehoboth beach get away

The location of the property is awesome! And the views from the screened in porch can’t be beat. The rooms are definitely smaller in real life than what you see in the pictures. As others mentioned, there is a strong cat urine smell in the downstairs hall. The owners should consider replacing the flooring.

Great Location! - Tough check-in

Location was great, could not ask for a better spot. The house was clean and well decorated with plenty of space, the views are fantastic day and night. Great access to beach, boardwalk and shopping. We didn't receive check-in instructions and it doesn't note in the description that there are no sheets so we showed up late and it took over an hour to get into the house, then realized we had no bedding and had to run out. That may have been in the contracts we signed but I think the communication could be smoothed out.

Location! Beautiful Property ! That Porch!

Our family had such a wonderful vacation together at Moondock 1! We couldn’t stop raving about the views, the one block walk to the Boardwalk and the family gathering space, the screen porch. This is a must rent for your vacation at Rehoboth Beach. Also, we enjoyed our bike ride adventure to Henlopen State Park exploring nature and history . The only area that we see as a need for improvement are the beds in the twin bedroom . Maybe an upgrade would be great if this is an option . The owners have done a beautiful job renovating this home where we made wonderful memories! Thank you !

Gorgeous location, layout and furnishings.

There's a pollen tree in full bloom in the front yard that landed pollen on all the porch floors and furniture and digital screens every 20 minutes. You might want to warn your April guests about this. Paper goods were either not present or hard to find. The literature says the house is stocked. We found paper towels the first day and toilet paper the last day. No napkins or tissues. But the layout and furnishings and location of the house couldn't be better. I hope to bring my family again. Thank you.

38 Surf Ave Review

The house was nice, and a perfect location in Rehoboth. Beautiful views, close enough to the boardwalk and far enough from the crowded sections. We were able to walk to all restaurants and bars. Loved riding our bikes on the beautiful trails up to Lewes. The best part of the house was the screened in porch where we spent a lot of our time as a group. We all felt the house needed a more thorough cleaning. I found myself washing down walls and door frames when I arrived. There is also a lingering odor on the first floor at the bottom of the staircase, despite mopping and "frebreezing" multiple times. It is listed as sleeping 12 people and that is very generous. The bunk bed room is very tight and the pull out couch on the 2nd floor should not have been converted as another sleeping area because it takes away from the family room, which was small. All in all the house served its purpose and we all had a memorable vacation

Not All I Had Hoped For

The location of the house is magnificent! However, the house itself is poorly furnished, uncomfortable and cramped with mostly rickety and worn furniture that wasn't comfortable. Perhaps the photos should not have been taken with a wide-angle lens so I could have gotten a better idea of the actual spaces. First floor bedrooms were small and crammed full of furniture. Parts of the house were dirty, the owner asks for too much to be done at checkout. When I reviewed the breakdown of fees, I thought they were excessive. Separate high cleaning fee and I had to make the beds before I left. Be aware that there is a high fee to use a credit card for the deposit. Check-in is not until after 4 pm, with firm instructions not to show up any earlier, and if the cleaning crew is running late you may not be able to check in until 6 pm. However, do not check out one minute past 10 am.
