Approaching Wood Farm The footpath actually goes to the right of this hedge line. The farm is surrounded by arable land in large fields. There is a small pond in the trees in front of the farm buildings.

Footpath near Shingle Hall The footpath across these arable fields near Shingle Hall is very clearly marked. The farmer has put down weed killer to deaden the crop along the line, and has also marked the route with a series of white stakes. This may be because this path is on the route of one of the Suffolk Line Walks, a series of routes from railway stations (Brampton in this case) promoted by the railway company.
