"The Black Friars has been our best hotel experience so far in our 2 week vacation in Scotland. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had a lovely rainshower bathroom feature. One can hear some noise from the hallway & a room above. Not a deal breaker. There is no elevator. The onsite restaurant has a nice selection of entrees, very good tasting food and is reasonably priced.My traveling companion has high praise for the braised short ribs and their truffle fries with Parmesan cheese! ...

"This was one of the nicest B and B's we stayed at in our month-long trip to the UK. We met the owner and she was very nice and couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. The room was beautiful and had everything you could ever want including snacks and cold water in a small refridge. It was walkable to downtown and the parking was safe and on-site. "Loved the classical style of this fine Victorian era hotel. We enjoyed the en suite room with a very comfortable bed and fantastic view of the castle and river. The photographs of people and days long gone that lined the hallways and stairways were very interesting indeed and definitely added to the essence of the hotel. Staff were great, very helpful and friendly. Lots to like at this well located hotel. Definitely would recommend for a comfortable stay in Inverness."
