¡BIENVENIDOS AL VALLE DE HUDSON! Disfrute de las vistas y los sonidos del país ... todo, desde su acogedor estudio Fox Den (totalmente privado). Brindamos todas las comodidades del hogar. Galletas caseras al horno esperan su llegada. El Fox Den fue diseñado con parejas o una sola en mente. Lo sentimos, no podemos acomodar a los niños o mascotas.

¿Qué tal pasar un fin de semana romántico y acogedor frente a una cálida chimenea, o tal vez perderse en un buen libro en su patio privado, con vista al lago? Has encontrado tu retiro privado perfecto, un lugar para relajarte y disfrutar de la tranquilidad. Estamos en 20 acres de bosques vírgenes, senderos para caminar, bonitos jardines caseros, así como 275 'de frente al lago.

Estamos en un lago privado, no se permiten botes de motor, lo que le permite disfrutar de kayak, remar en bote, pescar o simplemente flotar hasta el fondo de su corazón. (La temporada de navegación es del 1 de mayo al 30 de septiembre). El bote de remos permanecerá disponible después de septiembre. Tenemos salones junto al lago y una espaciosa hamaca para dos personas que se mece en el aire del campo.
Tenemos un par de cisnes que nos visitan cada verano. Los patos silvestres, los castores, las tortugas pintadas, la trucha y la lubina pequeña, llaman hogar a este lago. Hay zorros rojos y ciervos (los cervatillos gemelos no son tan inusuales). Hay halcones y búhos de cola roja, hermosas aves del noreste y, si tienes suerte, verás un águila calva americana.

El Fox Den está decorado pensando en nuestros huéspedes, cómodo y con mucha luz natural. Una cocina totalmente equipada con un horno de tamaño completo y nevera. También ofrecemos café, té, especias y aceites para cocinar.

Una lujosa cama tamaño queen con vista al lago y un baño privado (se proporcionan toallas para el baño y el lago). Una pérgola cubierta, patio privado con una parrilla de gas, con vistas a flores silvestres y camino al lago. Su privacidad es primordial para nosotros (respetamos que usted esté aquí para un poco de R & R).

Si desea conducir y ver el campo, hay muchos destinos interesantes para descubrir, y la mayoría están cerca. Antigüedades, bodegas, fincas gloriosas, hermosos jardines, paseos a caballo y deliciosos restaurantes de todo tipo. (El Instituto Culinario está ubicado en el corazón del Valle de Hudson). Bard College, el Richard B. Fisher Performing Arts Ctr., El Instituto Omega, Opus 40, pueblos encantadores (como Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Hudson, Tivoli y Woodstock), mercados de agricultores, huertos estacionales para recoger sus propias frutas y mucho más esperan su llegada.

Short getaway

This rental is exactly like the pictures, and even better in real life! The views of the lake and the rolling green hill were just beautiful (even in the rain). The location was easy for us to pop into town or explore nearby areas. We would definitely come back again!

Splendid retreat!

We had the perfect weekend at this absolutely charming space on the banks of the beautiful Spring lake. The cottage was filled with thoughtful touches, the bed was extremely comfortable, and we loved sitting outside and listening to the birds while looking at the water. I also very much appreciated a kayak paddle, too. We will definitely be returning when visiting our Bard College kid!

Fox Den Relaxation

What a beautiful view inside and outside in a quiet lake view location. Beautiful decor and view to the lake with a fireplace to warm you as the decor warms your heart. The owners are wonderful and reservation process easy.

Sweet lakefront home

Perfect couple vacation spot. Total privacy at the end of a dirt road. Great decorating touches of the very practical apartment and fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans and cabinet with spices. Bed was very comfortable Two six foot glass doors (separated by a gorgeous stone gas fireplace between them) open up to a partially covered deck with a grill and a fire stove. and a view of a sloping lawn down to the lake. There is a rowboat, a pedal boat and kayaks for your use. Owners, a lovely couple, live on the property if you have any questions. They even sent info on a flowering plant my wife asked about. And Red Hook and Rhinebeck are 10-15 minutes down the road. 5 stars.

Great Place

Property is well maintained. Host is awesome! I was able to make a last minute reservation. The host had the property ready in 1.5 hours. There is a hiking trail and water sports on the property. A great patio to watch birds and view of the lake. I would stay here again.

Fox Den - Hudson Valley

The Fox Den studio was super cozy & super well kept! A great stay for couples. Unfortunately, due to weather, etc. we did not take advantage of many outdoor and lake options offered but instead enjoyed the small local towns and local foods and crafts of the beautiful Hudson Valley. It was out first visit to the region.

Even better than expected

The Fox Den is an ideal location for a romantic getaway for two. My partner and I loved the space. The hosts were communicative and even offered to extend our stay by a night because our arrival was delayed by a day. At the Fox Den you'll find a very clean and well organized space, a beautiful patio, a CLEAN grill, and on-property lake access. We really enjoyed being in the outdoor space and then retiring to the indoor space for some very comfortable Netflix (provided) and Chill. 10/10!

Quiet and scenic retreat

This rental was perfect in every respect. It is located at the end of a private drive and overlooks a serene lake, where it is possible to boat or swim. The unit was immaculate when we arrived, and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and a plate of cookies. The hosts thought of every detail. We had a brief power outage during our visit, and the hosts (who live in the unit above) responded immediately by hooking up a generator. We felt that they were readily available if we needed them for anything. We cooked our meals in the well-stocked kitchen and dined outside on the covered patio overlooking the lake. Restaurants are available in Red Hook or Rhinebeck, which are short drives away. We took scenic hikes along the Hudson in a nearby state park and on the grounds of the Roosevelt home at Hyde Park, about 30 minutes away. We are so grateful for the opportunity to stay here, and we are looking forward to a return visit.

Wonderful hosts seemed to think of everything. All we did was relax: lakeside, patio, chaise lounges, country walking. Get your food supplies before arrival because there is no need to leave the cozy spot!

Wonderful Getaway

My husband and I wanted a short getaway for our anniversary. The Fox Den was just what we wanted. It was tucked away and private, the space was perfect for spending time together. The location was close enough to all of the things we wanted to do in the area. Although it was wonderfully warm, we did not go down to the lake. However, we will almost surely come back during the summer sometime so that we can enjoy all the property has to give. Thank you so much for the perfect getaway.

The problem with giving such a great review is that it will become harder to make a reservation later on. This was one of the best idyllic locations I have been to. Every thing about the Fox Den ,it’s location and amenities was spectacular and well though out by its owners Jeanne and Jim. We had a memorable experience.

Perfect Winter Getaway

The Fox Den was the perfect long weekend getaway for a wintery February vacation. Jeanne and Jim couldn't have made it more welcoming, the gas fireplace was lit and soft decorative lights and fresh greens and flowers welcomed us when we arrived. It was cozy and bright at the same time, with the couch and chair arranged around the fireplace, and two large French doors on either side of the fireplace bringing in beautiful light to the kitchen and sleeping ends of this wonderful studio. The Fox Den is immaculate, and well stocked with coffee, pancake mix, various spices and cooking oils - even some movie time snacks for relaxing in front of the fire. Cooking utensils and pots, pans and even baking pans are available. The bathroom is beautiful and well stocked with soaps and towels. There are two small closets for guest use. The accommodations are very private, you would never know Jeanne and Jim are upstairs unless you reach out to speak to them. The view of the lake is gorgeous, and we look forward to returning in the summer to take advantage of paddling and fishing on the lake and hiking the trails on the 20 acre property. There is a lot to do in the Red Hook and Rhinebeck areas, too, and lots of local dining options if you don't want to cook... though that is a pleasure in this well appointed kitchen! We had a wonderful stay.... we highly recommend the Fox Den!

Perfect relaxing getaway

Not to much was the property beautiful, so was the view! The owners were extremely nice and considerate, they even left out a bottle of wine and some cookies for us! We would love to stay again in the warmer weather when the outdoors could be enjoyed more, but I more than recommend staying here for any couple looking for a nice weekend away!

Perfection

This was an absolutely perfect spot for a weekend hideaway. It was so clean and cozy, with thoughtful details throughout. We went for little walks in the snowy woods and relaxed by the fire. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook some really nice meals. The hosts were super attentive — but it was also quiet and private. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer weekend setting away from the city. Thank you!

Beautiful Stay!

My partner and I stayed here for New Year's Eve, and it was SUCH an incredible, relaxing, and peaceful trip! The lake and surrounding wooded areas were absolutely gorgeous, and we were treated to seeing all kinds of wonderful birds - including a squad of wild turkeys, and a red-tailed hawk! We had such a good time relaxing in front of the fire, sitting on the outdoor deck, and just enjoying the get away. If you're thinking about booking a stay here - do it! You will love it!
