Aurora Hotel is located 2 minutes from Mall of Sofia. The neighborhood is very quiet a night and promotes good night rest. There are plenty of coffee shop to include a food court within walking distance. The staff is outstanding and the breakfast offers a variety of pastries.

I stayed at this hotel for 9 nights, and while the room itself was fairly clean, the overall experience was disappointing. Housekeeping was very inconsistent. The bed was often made poorly, coffee, tea, soap, and other supplies were frequently not replenished, used coffee cups were sometimes left dirty, and we were often given fewer towels than the number of guests in the room. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. It automatically shuts off whenever the balcony door is opened and often had to be manually reset by the front desk. On the day we arrived after a long international flight, the AC wasn't working, and we had to switch rooms after my exhausted daughter had already fallen asleep. Then, on the fifth night at 1 a.m., the AC failed again, and we were told we might have to change rooms in the middle of the night while our children were sleeping. The hotel also advertises a pool, but it was extremely small and covered the entire time we were there, making it unusable. Overall, the hotel did not meet expectations due to poor housekeeping, ongoing maintenance issues, and misleading amenities. I would not stay here again.

Ik werd door de supervriendelijke shuttle chauffeur opgehaald aan de luchthaven. Daarna een minstens even sympathieke jongedame aan de receptie getroffen, die mij snel en correct heeft ingecheckt. De kamer was ruim, schoon en voorzien van alle gemakken. Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid en ik had de keuze uit binnen of buiten in de tuin zitten. Uitchecken evenzeer vlot door een erg vriendelijke jongeman afgehandeld. Hotel is vlakbij metro, busstops, dus je bent binnen de kortste keren in het centrum of aan het busstation of waar je dan ook heen wil. Dikke aanrader!
