Need a change of scenery? Come relax, fish, kayak, roast smores, hike nearby Rattlesnake Mountain or just light a fire and read a book. We have a strong WIFI signal so you can work or school from this beautiful spot on Panther Pond! Enjoy nature, the fresh air, and simple pleasures of lake living! Winter & Spring guests: You should be comfortable with the possibility of having to navigate challenging weather and/or road conditions.

Our home is exceptionally clean, we have added extra cleaning measures to ensure a safe, clean and sanitary space. Enjoy a cozy, romantic getaway or fun family time - we're just 30 minutes from Portland and Freeport too!

Relax and unwind in our lovely lakefront home on beautiful Panther Pond. Our cottage hosts expansive lake views, great sunsets, and is the perfect place for a get-away any time of year! Grab your fleece and strike up a fire in the fire pit at the water's edge or cozy up next to one in the warmth of our living room with large stone hearth.

The setting of our four-season lakefront home is peaceful and private, it is surrounded by trees but has a fantastic view of the lake. We are Western-facing, our home offers you long sunny days and views of the lake from many vantage points - large deck, screened-in porch, lawn area & private dock. In the summer, wake to the sound of the loons and retire after enjoying exquisite sunsets by the water… Spend your days swimming, fishing, kayaking, playing games and enjoying the very best of lake-living! You will enjoy all the comforts of home from this spacious and tastefully furnished cottage with 150 feet of water frontage and a private dock. In the winter enjoy the snow and ice-covered lake and the cozy feeling of a winter cabin in the woods – ice fish, snowshoe, or simply light a fire, read a book and enjoy the moonlit lake. A beautiful deck with comfortable seating overlooks the water and screened-in porch with Pottery Barn sofa and picnic table allows you to enjoy the views any time of day when you’re lounging or dining.

Hike nearby Rattlesnake Mountain (one of the best day hikes in and around the Portland area), swim, kayak, fish, visit Portland or Freeport for great shopping or simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet (and wildlife) of this lakefront setting.

Panther Pond connects to Crescent Lake via the Tenny River - a wonderful paddle experience for those who like to kayak. We also have a fire pit at the water's edge which is the perfect location to sit and enjoy a sunset - even in the winter! And for fishermen and women, Panther Pond is home to a large variety of fish.

The cottage is equipped with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, updated kitchen, stone fireplace, 2 separate living/entertaining spaces, large deck, screened-in porch, A-Frame swing, fire pit, kayaks and a canoe. The home is well-appointed with quality furnishings and bedding.

We have great snow in the winter (bring your sleds and snowshoes!), bright sun & refreshing water in the summer, and gorgeous foliage in the fall... And, in addition, the lake region hosts a large variety of events & activities all year round. Come See!

Winter & Spring Guests: A 4-wheel drive vehicle may be necessary to access the property depending upon weather-related road conditions.

Perfect Lakefront Cabin

Well-stocked cabin inside and out. Everything you need for a family vacation in Maine. Water temperature was great in late July. Secluded, but only minutes from town.

Tranquil Retreat

This tranquil retreat was so enjoyable. The views are wonderful. We immediately felt comfortable, cozy & at home. We had Long walks in the morning Thru nature, hours on the lake kayaking, swimming in the clear cool water of the lake & lounging on the floating dock. It is the house I have always dreamed of!

Our dream retirement would be a house on a lake. We are never going to have this, so we wanted to finally rent one to see what it is like. This checked off all the boxes! The layout, the cabin feeling, the beautiful sloping front yard leading to the water, the plants, everything! The house had everything you would need, move in ready. The quiet serene atmosphere was what it was all about. What a wonderful place to live in peace and serenity. I definitely want to be a returning renter every year! Oh, and Kristen is wonderful!

Perfect place for relaxation

My friend and I absolutely loved this property and definitely plan to return. It was cozy and at the same time very spacious. Everything we needed for the week was provided in the cottage and the location was absolutely perfect to unwind and relax. The view was gorgeous and provided beautiful sunsets while enjoying the fire pit right by the lake. We had a few rainy days so took advantage with a quick trip to Bridgeton and North Conway.

Paradise

I am somewhat reluctant to give this review, because I don’t want everyone else booking this place. This was absolute paradise. You can tell from the moment you step in this house that the owners care about this house and every person who stays here. We loved everything, from the decorating down to the amenities. We spent hours out on the lake kayaking, swimming, and just taking in the view. Super clean and everything you need is provided. We will be here again as soon as possible.

Perfect Panther Pond

This was the 2nd time we stayed at this camp. Last year we booked for a week, it was so great that I booked for an extra 3 days this year. It is the perfect camp to stay at. The home is comfortable, and clean as well as beautiful with great outside spaces. The view from the deck is outstanding. The pond itself is pristine. I can not wait to visit again!!!

Amazing Property with Breathtaking Sunsets!

This house is absolutely perfect! Everything I expected and more. Fully stocked kitchen - plenty of dishes, utensils, pans, and even a salad spinner! Not a speck of dust or single stray bug - which is very impressive for a lake house in the woods!! The screened in area under the deck was perfect for rainy days. The lake was very quiet, much less boat traffic than other lakes in the area. The dock and swim raft were wonderful. I pay attention to details and there is not one thing I would change about this property. Lots of nice touches making it very homey, not like other generic rental properties out there.

Family weekend

Thank you Karen for an amazing long weekend at your property. Everything was perfect, from the beautiful lake front location to the warm and inviting home itself. All Season Stay

The road getting to the house during winter can be tough. However, it is worth the drive! An adorable cabin sitting on top of a gorgeous lake! I can see the appeal of renting all year long here! Plus, the sunsets were stunning! 10/10

Amazing!

We absolutely loved our stay here. It was such a cozy (and amazingly decorated) cottage for a winter getaway. Watching the sunrise over the lake with my coffee each morning and playing games by the fire each night was just what I needed! The kids rooms are so adorable, and my preteen LOVED watching movies in bed and having her own space. Kristen was very attentive and got back to me right away to answer questions!

Magical

The house was very comfortable and inviting. The lake views were magical whether it be a morning mist or moon beam glow ... We enjoyed the indoor fireplace as well as the fire pit. Many large pine trees on either side of the house that added to the natural beauty and privacy. Idyllic location and home.

Perfect Stay!

We had the most amazing girls weekend at Panther Pond! The property was even better than the pictures! It was so clean, had everything we could need, and so quiet! We were able to spend some time using the kayaks and canoe, but our favorite was being able to sit on the dock in the sunshine, taking a swim in the very cold September pond, and sitting around the fire pit in the evenings. This was exactly what we were looking for and we couldn’t have been happier!

Amazing lake house!

My family, as well of my parents , stayed at this beautiful lake house in mid September. We COULD NOT have found a better house! So clean, beautiful views, fantastic docks, and amazing owners who clearly communicate and are easy to reach. One minute after stepping into the house we are already planning to come back!!

Quiet lake house

The pictures don’t do the house justice. The house was tastefully decorated, we had enough room to spread out as 5 adults. Plenty of seating, the kitchen had everything you need to cook with. We enjoyed having a private doc and utilized the kayaks and canoe. The fire pit was nice for our chilly nights. Overall I highly recommend the staying here! It is a little off the beaten path so I recommend stopping for food on the way.

Great lakehouse.

This is our second year renting this property, it is great for the whole family, it has 2 different living quarters. My teenage boys got the whole downstairs to themselves, (bedroom, living room, and a bathroom. Me, my sister and granddaughter stayed on the main floor. This property is exceptional. It is very homey and welcoming. We plan on renting again next year.
