Tupe's Beach House

  • If visiting an island in the South Pacific includes sitting on the veranda with a beer or wine looking out onto a pristine empty beach and the lagoon just beyond, Tupes Beach House will tick that box. If you wanted to go snorkling in a marine reserve, you can do that as well, its 3 metres away. Maybe swim with the turtles? sure there are companies that do that... 50 metres away. Have kids? its safe swimming.

    In fact Tupe's beach house has more ticks than boxes to put them in. A modern two bedroom home with air con, ceiling fans in every room, fully screened against mozzies, a full kitchen, BBQ, on the beach, in a marine reserve... golden.

    Its also in a great area of Rarotonga, Vaimaanga/Papaaroa. Although Muri gets a lot of screentime, the South is where the locals go, the beach and lagoon are perfect for not doing much. There's a fantastic store called Wigmores with the freshest fruit and veges (they grow it themselves), and the biggest icecreams (not grown). There's a decent burger bar next door, a car hire and also a few restauraunts in the area.

    Tupes beach house is ideal for a family or two couples (the beds in the second bedroom zip to make a king). Tick the box!

best location

Best beach front area on the Island, better than Muri! Cute house with full kitchen making it easy to prepare meals. Incredible view of the ocean, with swallow clear water perfect for small children. Easy communication with the host!

Fantastic trip!

Great oceanfront location, with restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. The house was very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the covered oceanfront patio with table and chairs where we could eat, read, lounge and watch the ocean. We even saw a whale. Good snorkeling in front of the house with beautiful coral, blue starfish and many varieties of fish.

Peace and quiet

Photos and description of property was extremely accurate. Absolutely lovely spot. The ability to snorkel or kayak right at your doorstep. (Eddie has two kayaks and paddles available at the property) We were 4 adults (2 couples) and the place met our needs and then some. Close to shops and cafes. Highly recommend Tupes Beach House.

Fantastic location - great place

The location right on the beautiful sandy beach was fantastic, the beach is great for swimming, kayaking and walking. The house was as described neat and tidy and suitable for a family of 4. Location 10 mins from Muri, 20 mins to Avarua drive times made it easy to go to the markets or the restaurants at either location. Eddie was great with communication and his tips were helpful. We had a great time, would stay again, thanks.

Great house in a fantastic location

Tupe's beach house was perfect for our family of four for a week's holiday. The house had everything we needed. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and the fans + air con were useful on the hotter nights. It is in the most perfect location on the south coast with great snorkelling just outside the door. We also had fun using the two single kayaks on the lagoon. Eddie's tips emailed to us beforehand were super helpful and as a result we had some fabulous meals out. The kitchen is well equipped and we made good use of this too.
