The Manea On Muri Villa we stayed in needed a bit of maintenance, a bit of freshing up and updating. BUT the location was fabulous, the Villa was spotless and Wendy and Louisa were wonderful. Would we stay again, absolutely, Loved it. Thank you for making our stay in the Cook Islands special.

Highly recommended! Perfect location, walking distance from - bus station, Muri night market, shops, car rentals etc everything you need. We were so looked after. Fresh fruit on arrival, and during our stay. Communication - excellent! We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you so much everything!!!

It was a great place. It had everything we needed. Some up keep could be done. You are not in a 4 star resort so don’t expect that. We enjoyed our time. Had bath towels and beach towels. All the kitchen cutlery etc you would need. Good size fridge. Perfect size for self contained unit. Right on the beach, 🏝️

This is a spacious bungalow. The lagoon is yards away depending on which bungalow. Wendy, the manager is very nice. This is in a very convenient location. Walk to a bakery, coffee shop, Te Rava Nui Village, The market.

Wendy is an absolute beautiful host, delivered hot donuts, went that extra mile to make us feel welcomed. Love the local recommendations. The accommodation was exactly what we were expecting and wanting. Beach vibe/ beach shack, holiday house - tick! Perfect spot- glad we choose Muri. Close to restaurants, close to town. Everything we needed was right here. Kayaks, pool, reef shoes, snorkels, self contained kitchen, BBQ you name it Wendy has thought of it. Plenty of room for children could easily sleep 10 and still not be under each other’s feet. Access to Muri Lagoon via the pool- a couple of meters from your doorstep (cabin 5) we liked this as it still gave us an opportunity to have a lawn and play games with the kids. Thank you for a memorable stay Wendy! We had a holiday of a lifetime. Meitaki until we meet again.

The room was itself was great in terms of size but the property needs some love. It is very tired, in particular the bathroom. Because it looks so bad it is hard to tell if it is clean, but we could smell cleaning chemicals had been used recently. There were no wash cloths, only towels and nothing other than liquid hand soap.

Our wedding party occupied 3 units, they were all very run down. I would guess there has been no investment into this property for 20+ years. Two of the units hot water stopped working, washing machine was rusty & hard to get working. We requested a cot, which was not provided. Our 6 month old son had to sleep in our suitcase the first night. Our unit had mould all over the bathroom, the door handle fell off. The towels were all mismatched & old. Basic items we needed were not provided (dust pan brush, washing pegs etc). Some basic maintenance and a refresher on these units would make a lot of difference. Location was great, but the "lagoon view" also included a large broken concrete parking area. Wendy was lovely to deal with but there should really be more staff involvement. Would definately not stay again, much better places around for similar or even cheaper price.

Location was excellent. Place is old and rundown, matress old and saggy and shower pressure very poor. Ran out of hot water. Sheets were old and I wonder if they were actually changed from the previous guest. Documentation stated it would be serviced every 3 days. But service was not offered ever or done over the 7 days.

The room was clean, but all the towels were dirty. We couldn’t use the kayak because the paddles were broken. If you are picky I highly recommend you not to book this hotel.

Manea bungalows were perfect! Not the most modern but great for our needs. Located superbly close to all amenities we needed. The pool and beach access was great in providing the perfect relaxing holiday. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful & for accommadating our needs.

The day we checked in on the board we were assigned to arrive on the 18/09/26 but our booking was for the 17/th to 20th September 2026 the villa was not cleaned at all we called the number that was provided on the board no answer, we kept ringing the number no pick up then called Expedia after waiting for and answer from Expedia we were then told that the room was cleaned we told the agent the room was not cleaned at all and we stranded at the property and plus they had us booked in for the 18th instead of the 17th September 2026. After not hearing from the owner I called my aunty who lived on Rarotonga to come and picked us up, she showed up at 3:30pm after arriving to our meant to be accomodation at 2:15pm as check in time was 2pm still didn’t hear from the owner at all, I asked my aunty to check the room plus what was written on the board, she said did you call the owner we both said yes she said you booked for tomorrow and you can’t stay here the room is not cleaned at all, this is the first time Ive had bad experience and it was my friends first time in Rarotonga.

The location, the amenities, the staff! We loved it all. We took our 1 year old and it was perfect. The pool was lovely and newly renovated and looked after. walking distance to so many good spots and right on the beat swimming spot at the lagoon. Rooms are a little run down but kept cleans and tidy and we honestly loved our stay there.
